I'm in the Sanctum Medicus stuff now, and I guess I get why this is bothering people with how it feels like a voiced sidequests stuffed in the middle of the story, but it hardly seems like the ruinous experience some people are claiming.

So since I havent advanced stuff still its very kind they let you just grind World 1 for the 3,500 weekly points. Im working on advancing stuff, but playing long term on my phone is rough on my fingers. Damn you aging

Actually bothered to try clear some higher simulated universes. Did 4 and 5 and was rewarded with an early 5* from the permanent summon (Welt 20 summons in).

5 boss almost beat me because I was lackadaisical and just autoed it all which is not a good idea on that boss since Nat only heals at low health rather than trying to heal to remove debuffs. That boss is gonna be a dick on higher difficulties.

I did try Simulated 3 on the higher difficulty but lost to the boss on the final phase. Was autoing it again and had bad buffs, probably winnable with the good ones.

Party is smart enough to avoid attacking units with counter activated during auto battle every single time so far, except when I go into the simulated world they suddenly turn into absolute morons.

Oof, beat Simulated World 3, that wasn't easy! I've been walking around with mostly unleveled Relics and a full tier behind on Traces, guess that needs to change lol. At least my Light Cones are all up to date....at least the ones I started with, I haven't touched like 4 of them.

Speaking of which, any recommendations on which Light Cone to grab frome Herta's shop first?

The Hunt light cone is pretty good. Don't get the other two, they're bad.

I guess this question goes Remembrance light cones as well, but I think those are all stuff you can pull?

Remembrance is one of those SU-only paths (like Elation), there are no Light Cones for it hehe

Still learning my terminology, meant these, but now that I'm in the game the answer to my question is obvious because I already have a bunch of these lol.

Also yeah, looks like it is just 3 in Herta's shop, whoops. Still not sure what the Superimposer does, but I assume it's something that will get tutorialized.

Oh those ones? The Seriousness of Breakfast is probably the best of those, but there are better 4* options across the board in the gacha. They're probably ok for plugging gaps but even then I'd strongly consider going for the cheaper option and investing temporarily in a 3* light cone until I pull something better.

Yeah, it's ok but this is honestly the biggest count against it. Carve the Sky is just hands down the best battle pass pick.

It's a case where, like, if I wanted to min max I could go, "yeah Carve the Sky is better but it's not THAT much better", while there are a couple others that are way better than what I have for other paths.

But that feels short sighted. Feels better long term to just get the one that's flat out best regardless of if there are nearly as good alternatives.

Unrelated, but I've invested so much into Natasha that I'm gonna be pissed if I pull that little dragon girl anytime soon.

As someone who's still using Cornucopia on Natasha, I really wish I'd picked the Abundance LC from the Battle Pass, cuz I have Carve the Moon on like... Asta, I think. There's always next month.

The shop section is where Genshins equivalent is as well so thats probably why. Also probably to try and tempt some spending because gacha

I have Bailu and I still use Natasha. They both do slightly different things and because it's turn based unlike Genshin, I think there's still merit to having multiple healers. Whereas in Genshin you can just say fuck healers and not take damage

Spend your embers on the rail passes (prioritize special and skip normals if you're low) and at TL40 you can buy Tracks of Destiny too, not sure where other repeatable sources of those are so seems good. That all resets every first of the month so budget accordingly.

Starlight you should hoard for a 5* light cone (best value), 4* character you want (cycles each month), or buy emergency special passes if you ever need it.

Also about leveling relics: do it! You don't lose a lot from leveling them because you can recycle old relics into leveling new ones and get most of the exp back. You don't have to worry deeply about it until you start getting 5* tiers but you should be trying to kit out your mains with high level 4* stuff.

The first time I do this POV content I have to use trial characters. The second, I for some reason use my own party. This third time....back to trial characters? Odd.

It probably refreshes once or twice a month. I wouldnt worry about it til you have teams capable of doing it

I've heard Memory of Chaos described as a whale bait game mode, I wouldn't worry about being able to clear it immediately.

I forget what it was specifically, but I started Crestoria at launch and there was content that I don't think was completable in the provided time before refresh, even by whales. Sometimes that first timer is just there to set the expectation and most people aren't going to get it.

Crestoria was another gacha where the story is what kept me actively playing, but it started spinning it's wheels hard and quickly became less and less interesting. I was probably the most active player on the board before just going cold turkey!

Hope that doesn't happen here, though with how good the presentation is I'm not that worried.

Yeah there's a Memory of Chaos equivalent in Genshin. It refreshes on the 1st and 16th of each month and the final levels are completely ridiculous, it's worth getting whatever gems you can manage out of it but it requires a ridiculous amount of time, energy, or money to max out.

Wierd you can't sort light cones by type. Not a huge deal now, but should really be added for future proofing.

Yeah so I'm on the Sanctus Medicus stuff in the main story and this is a case of odd timing moreso than out-of-place story content. Honestly less of a momentum killer than "you must be Trailblaze level X to progress" which people just seem to accept as normal.

Eh, Break Effect doesn't actually influence how quickly the character lowers the enemy's toughness bar, just how much damage the inflicted Weakness Break (and associated DoT) will do. So it only does anything if your character is actually the one character that does the final hit to the toughness bar. As far as I know, since you do damage every turn and only break the enemy's toughness bar every few cycles, Break Effect isn't considered "meta" right now.

Asta is pretty cute. I used her for clearing some 3 part camera event thing with Wubbaboos since shes my only Fire type still.

I didn't realize break effect didn't break the break bar anymore. That's weird
