Make the head a link monster pointing 2 left/right down, arms eff(fusion?) monsters that only work if linked to the head, legs spell/traps that only work if they're on the same column as the arms

Bonus points if there's a chest piece that links up left right leftd rightd

Next Duel Trial is going to use rental decks from the next pack. Seems like a fun tradition if they do this frequently. I enjoyed playing with G Golems and Crystal Beasts last time.

Details on the third one are also out. We're going to be forced to use certain "loaner cards" but can use pretty much anything else to build around them. The loaner cards are all going to be gambling focused. Should be neat. >_>

Been thinking about stuff. What's crazy is that if Toadally never got banned, Sprights would've actually been tier 0 level dominant, even after Tears got released the way it did.

Also yeah I think I quite like the loaner deck events. I wish they were the typical xyz/synchro limit type events rather than 3 and done though. Getting loaner cards is a good idea, though hopefully they force you to use enough cards that we're actually motivated to innovate. I like deckbuilding in general

I'm still waiting for a draft mode. Battle Packs in the ancient days was one of the most fun ygo out there actually cuz there was a lot of variance and creativity

Before I read: Tearl is still there somehow.

They have a slightly more lenient banlist. But the big difference is that they have Maxx C, and Tears can actually play around Maxx C

The OCG banlist also has stricter hits to Sprights (Blue, Jet, and Starter all limited, TCG only has Starter semi'd), Floowandereeze (Map limited and Shifter at 2 in OCG but neither of those apply in TCG), Branded (Fusion and Opening at 1 in OCG while TCG's only hit is Expulsion being banned), and Kashtira's main deck (Fenrir and Unicorn limited while TCG has Unicorn semi-limited and Arise-Heart in the extra deck limited), as well as four Bystials limited that aren't hit at all in the TCG yet. So other decks around Tearlaments as well as their #1 counter all being weaker in the OCG is another big factor of why Tearlaments are still able to stick around even in their now severely weakened state.

That plus other tools like Grass, Chaos Ruler, Curious, Fairy Tail Snow and the recently unbanned Glow-Up Bulb being legal in OCG (while they're all banned in the TCG) and abusable by Tearlaments. It's no wonder why the deck is still alive and fairly viable.

Yeah though Sprights having Maxx C is the main reason Sprights got hit so much harder there. Honestly not much of the other hits influence the meta THAT much, compared to Maxx C, which alone has influenced a ton of hits by itself. MD will most likely go the same way but their banlist is a bit more frequent and reactive

The way I see it, it's not really Tearlaments.dek anymore. It's like calling a Cyberse pile with a few Mathmech cards a Mathmech.dek.

Or that one Red-Eyes deck in MDM where the uploader only used 1 OG Red-Eyes in an otherwise Dragonlink, lol.

So, are bystials actually good in an non-bystial anti-meta deck? I have no plans to run a traditional deck, but their banish effect seems generic enough to fuck with a ton of deck since almost all the decks I see are light or dark.

There's no such thing as a Bystial deck. They were meant to be generic and anti-meta with their banish effects. Branded and Dragon Link decks can best take advantage of their bodies and other effects besides the banish and are the closest things you'll see to a "Bystial deck", but pretty much any deck that needs to counter Tearlaments and doesn't lock itself out of special summoning them (like Floowandereeze does) can use them.

Wtf Garura alone nulls any nerfs to Tears this banlist. It is oppressively strong in Tear, basically became the reason they were so strong in TCG, cuz before Garura, Sprights were the strongest

Dropped 6k on the pack and the highlights of my pulls were Garurua, Sprind, Magnamhut, and a playset of Lubellion.

Debating on dismantling my Lubellions. On one hand, they're a search for the other Bystials. On the other hand, I don't play Branded and idk how useful that search would actually be if I just want to use Magna and Dru as handtraps/extenders.

Pulled a bit from the Abyss Actors pack. Didn't get much. I've got 500 UR right now so I can definitely afford to craft the missing cards. But now that I have that much UR dust I'm feeling kind of miserly <_<

Yeaa pretty nuts. You can even throw Ferrijit or anything else for that matter because you might want to save Garura for any fusion bounce.

6k gems result for now:

2 Garura, a Sprind, 2 Sargas, a WAKE UP HERO, a Hut, and 2 Armed Dragon L10 White for the URs, and 2 Mereologic Aggregator for the SR.

Got 2 Druiswurm and 6 freaking Saronir, but a single Baldrake.

Pretty nice haul tbh. I just missing Bucephalus technically (and Lubellion, but what I need are the Lv 6 Byssted).

Nice, Legend Anthology was probably like top 3 event for me. Really fun decks, though Dark Magicians were unbearably a bad match up for me

Spent 12k on the new selection pack (plus 1.5k on the Cyber Dragon structure deck just for 3 copies of Fusion Deployment) and got basically everything I needed for my Branded and Dogmatika decks, including a glossy Magnamhut, a glossy Garura, a glossy Alba Zoa, and a royal Lubellion. The only UR's I might still need from the pack are more copies of Cartesia and Lubellion (only pulled 1 of each and I'm pretty sure I need 2-3 copies) and I'm out of gems so I can just craft those after I dismantle some UR's.

8k total, I'm done. Final standing.
