Welcome to Round 63 of Save my Smash Assist Trophy, the Save my where all assist trophies (even the ones absent in Ultimate) battle until there is only one left.

Please read the rules before you make a post.

Rules (Stolen from UnderUrMattress):
  • You personally (no bots/scripts/lending of accounts) can save 1 assist trophy per hour.
  • An assist trophy needs 2 votes to be saved.
  • 2 unique users need to save an assist trophy for that assist trophy to be saved.
  • Ambiguous saves will not count.
  • Last assist trophy unsaved is eliminated.
  • No alts, rallies, trades, or editing votes.
  • Only _Keeby can start up new topics.
  • Community Rule is in effect. Deliberate rules violations will result in bans.
  • Have fun!

No, it's valid. You must be very new to Save My contests.

If something is already safe when a user makes a save, they're free to make another save.

It's by logic that there is no "save" to be made if it's already safe.

WhiteLens is right. pjs save was just an hour after their last so it counted for Guile being safe, and coincidentally right after Underleveled tried to save Guile, but Guile was already safe at this point. Its always been assumed that if you save an already safe character, youre allowed to make a new save. (Basically, an unspoken rule.) In addition, MXCMs post is edited, so their save wouldnt be counted.

From what I can tell, Wily is eliminated, but if Im wrong on that, please correct me.

Could make rushes less of a mad dash in big contests

This would be really, really terrible and way too gamey even by Save My standards. I love the fact that this one is so casual and fun. Reminds me of how Save Mys were back in the early days of the board. Now they're serious business and it really turned me off from them a lot.

Appearances: Ultimate

(This elimination really surprised me. Usually the Mega Man characters are among the first to be saved in rounds. I dont recall any recent rounds where Wily was saved particularly late.

Dr. Wily is Mega Mans and Dr. Lights arch nemesis. As an assist trophy in Ultimate, he rides in his signature vehicle, the Wily Capsule.

Also, unrelated, but this made me wonder what a Dr. Eggman assist trophy would be like. The two characters have some similarities, albeit mostly superficial ones.

With this, 12 characters are left. Thats as many as there were fighters in the first Smash game!

Here are some statistics:
  • The list technically still goes from A to Z, as Alucard and Zero are both still in.
  • Moon and Mother Brain are the only assists to share a letter.
  • Sonic the Hedgehog is the only franchise to have more than one assist uneliminated. Both Knuckles and Shadow remain.
  • The remaining characters are exactly split between first/second party (Dr. Kawashima, Isaac, Jeff, Lyn, Moon, Mother Brain) and third party (Alucard, Bomberman, Guile, Knuckles, Shadow, Zero) representation.
  • Out of the 11 remaining series, three (Bomberman, Brain Age (Dr. Kawashima), and Golden Sun (Isaac)) dont have playable fighters.


Next round will be the last one requiring two saves per character. After that, itll switch to three saves.)
