Hey Sultan. Not gonna be too rough on ya right now given the whole concussion thing, but I'd very much like to know how you got to this point in the game without mentioning either myself or Dumey once, to my knowledge.

I think Wall directly addressing the Copscan request would normally make me feel decent about a new player, but this -

is a slight scumtell for newer players in my experience. Coming out and explaining you're Town while saying there's no point in scanning you twigs something for me, especially in a post that was clearly well-considered.

Pretty sure Death is Town btw, there's a lot more good stuff in that first meaningful post than I would expect coming from ScumDeath (also, I just don't think ScumDeath avoids the game intentionally for a few hours and then makes such an obvious nothing opening post. ScumDeath loves appearing as though he is doing something while not actually doing a ton.)

Also the town points game answer was that sheep said he wasn't afraid and when I called him out on it he immediately backed down. It feels like sheep knows I am town and is treating me with caution rather than trying to get a bead on me. The whole 'I trust you to figure me out' doesn't really feel great when you consider it's about me. Reminds me eerily of poke wars mafia tbh

Also ctes you said I didn't miss a memo on bct and then described a memo I missed lol.

1- BlueCrystalTear - Town, obviously.
2- Crescent-Moon - Leaning scum. She went in very aggressive without having done any homework. This is harmful to town.
3- ctes - Not enough content yet (apologies for the Denmark comment; it's a quotation from Hamlet)
4- Death - Not enough content yet
5- EDumey - Liking what he's doing so far. Leaning town
6- Han - If what he did last night was meant to get me to show my cards, it certainly worked and is pro-town behavior. Trying to townclear someone
7- JC - Not enough content yet
8- Lea - Is cute, but no reads on her just yet
9- MZero - Isn't going after me! But not enough content yet
10- Sheep007 - I mean, you're asking me this, so that's points in your favor, but others seem to suspect you, so I'm afraid I've yet to judge anything. No offense of course! 'tis a game.
11- SirChris - Is Chris. Haven't seen enough yet, but knowing him, he's hiding in the weeds waiting for someone to slip so he can pounce and play some Ace Attorney "Cornered" music... or he's scum trying to get away. Time will tell.
12- Sultan - Probably town. Less obvious than last time, though, and that may be due to his concussion (sorry to hear about that, my friend)
13- UltimaterializerX - Still don't like how he went "See you Day 2" and then proceeded to post for the remainder of the night. Whether that means he's scum or not is up in the air.
14- wallmasterz - Probably scum, but he gets to live to see D2 because he's new on principle. I don't like how he's still being defensive of a cop scan after he was told how it benefits him. I was there. I didn't know what to do except panic. He reminds me of me!

Sheeps read on me is the first thing I have felt is Sheep-like as well.
But I cant be sure if thats just because its trying to manipulate me. Sheep turns me into a focus a lot of games so its a nultell I suppose.

Oh and to be clear I find the wallmaster suspicion to be bogus. New player wall posts day 1 that's probably always town. Like yeah don't give a pass but I mean really you have to consider that any new player who sets the standard that early they are going to rattle off thoughts is likely to get caught as scum as it places a huge burden on them.

I find any early day 1 read of you with certainty to be an interesting choice. Do you think the tell described by sheep is accurate?

I also appreciate wallmaster being so detailed, even if it took me a while to parse it all

You need more focus! People should listen to you if you're Town and immediately lynch you if you're Scum, and it's an outrage neither happens more often.

As scum I certainly do take a less casual approach and pay a lot more attention. Though there are degrees to how much there is a difference.
I am mostly noting that Sheep always takes a day1 interest in me and claims to be good at reading me. I would have been more suspicious if Sheep ignored me after I brought him up.

That said Sheep himself has undermined his read a post later by calling my recent scumgame good (not sure if he meant the one where I started out as town?). So I cant even say he made a solid stance.

Well reading your bct/wall/death notes reminds me of what I sometimes do as scum where I will form reads or thoughts that aren't quite earned. I am clever so I can usually make those reads work and poking a new player is fairly safe.

Something just feels not quite right about you Mr sheep. Maybe it's scum. Maybe it's just me seeing things. I don't lnow yet. There is something in your posts that feels wrong to me. Some hitch in your gait that doesnt feel natural.

And I liked Dumey more this time because it felt more like he was trying to solve the game - see posts 97 and 195. His softclaim earlier feels like a shitpost and I have no idea what to make of it.

I remember Sultan being in his don't trust anyone era when I left. He would usually find some reason to vote me in like 5 minutes and bite my ankles

No ankle biting so far.

He was kinda in that zone during Master Duel mafia
But with more tunnelvision on specific players.

I'm feeling pretty positive, honestly. We got out of the nonsense phase early which was good because I didn't feel much patience for it this time round. We have a lot of early thoughts out in the open, and I have a few players I have fairly clean Town reads on very early (BCT/Death/Crescent) plus some avenues I want to keep talking down. I think those reads are all fairly clear in my mind - BCT and Death for very clearly replicating things I see in their Town games (or in Death's case moreso not setting off what I think I see in his Scum game) and Crescent for cleverer insight than I would expect Scum to make so early, especially when they aren't actively looking for it.

That's fair, I kinda took this tact knowing I would gain suspicion early and being okay with it because (possibly through hubris!) I feel I'm good enough to play my way out of it and it does more to create activity and content for us to pick at than bumbling around like the tired old wet fart I feel like.

Sorta on the page of more thoughts on me, what do you think of MZero and Ctes coming in with soft-defences of me, Chris? What about if you come at it specifically from the PoV of me being Town? I'm really not sure what to make of them and I'd like to know if you can glean anything.

when I have time later today I actually want to read everything thus far from the beginning and make some notes. I wasnt able to post last night (irl) so this morning I wanted to at least make an appearance and share my thoughts on ultis extremely active start to d1.

Chris seems like a good dude but I dont have much of an in-game impression on him and a handful of others yet. Day 1 seems to be mostly all about the vibes you get from people compared to previous games, and I dont really have much to provide in that regard as a newbie.

Havinf sorta followed during a meeting for the past page, this is where I'm at. I've found myself agreeing with your points about Sheep. I would however not think scum comes in and defends a weird soft claim like that doing the exact same thing. I don't think I've actually ever played with Sheep, I wasn't in SW&P yet when he was alive.

Sultan is often enough all over the place with his posts and with a concussion on top of it, yeah nothing has pinged me.

Fr, Sultan is my only actual scumread so far. Avoiding talking about the major topic of the game until specifically asked, and then mentioning it as the most standout thing is not exactly town behaviour.

I wasn't planning on being particularly active! I kinda forgot that Mafia gives me a massive adrenaline rush and it's given me enough energy to actually think for the first time in a year or so.

Another quick thought on sheep.

1. Either he knows BCT is town
2. He thinks BCT is easy to read.

He seems very confident that BCT is town.

Not nessisarily. I think this Is town BCT, your thought kind of match mine rereading but it seems to come from a place of knowing. But Maybe BCT is just an easy read for you like I said.

Other person that looks pretty towny to me I'd say is Creasent. I've seen her play town plenty of times and so far she is hunting even trudging though shit posts to make reads. I like that from her..

I agree or don't care about a lot of what's been said, but I want to add that Death is anything but an open book and that's what stuck out to me this morning. I don't believe that read.

I'm also liking what The Wall said in regards to Ulti - Ulti last game was a mess for most of it, then waved his flag of victory at tne end after helping secure the win. Or, in other words, he lazed about an entire game, and Town didn't get punished for it. I could see Ulti taking an approach where he's trying to do the same thing - "random person is Scum, see you day 4 lol" and then spend the exact same amount of effort in the early 4 days as the other.

In other words, I wouldn't trust someone using their COVID brain fog and busyness from a previous game to establish an approach to this game that's "AFK until Day 4/5".

Oh also I think BCT seems a lot more chill as scum and was far more in control when he had direct coaching. I think he's already shown enough of his panicky town side of things to convince me he's either been told specifically to replicate that (hence my wifom statement in my last post), or is just genuine. Either way, let's not tunnel him for multiple days because it is draining and pointless and gives us very limited content.
