Sultan did not mention that he was suspicious of Dumey or found his claim/no claim thing odd until I and then Chris specifically prompted him, and then went on to say it was the only thing that he found particularly weird in the game as of post #277.

No, you didn't make many reads at all (which I didn't particularly like and was what got me started on you). I specifically asked about myself and Dumey because it seemed one of the most important things (or at least the most likely to cause an opinion) to happen so far and I found it a little odd it went entirely unmentioned.

There have been plenty of people not to make any reads by that point either why single me out specifically?

Hm, I'm not quite following how it was any less unnecessary yesterday to do two claims. Like yeah sure, get the game going but game had been going on for like minutes. The point of the claims ever being mentioned to begin with seemed to be because of the roles themselves to me.

Feels more like you putting the words in his mouth to justify throwing shade on him. I don't get anything out of Sultan so far except he doesn't seem to have his head in the game yet and that isn't AI to me.

One thing I don't think we've ever gotten from Sheep is an actual solid reason why he's claiming to be so hard on Dumey being town.

All he said was "scum doesn't need to come in like that" followed by "I'm glad we all agree Dumey is town" (which was an incorrect assessment, and Ulti was all over Dumey at the time), and then attack Sultan for "ignoring Dumey".

Like most of his game so far has been aggressively Dumey-Centric.

My assessment of what's happening here with Sheep is that he's a bit nervous about having multiple people call him out early, and wants to regain his image by doing some pro-active scum hunting by chasing down this Sultan lead he thinks he's found. I agree with Crescent that the Sultan angle from Sheep is weak, but I can at least understand Sheep's motive in looking for it.

The question is whether or not there's scum motive in there. Because as much as people like to jump on people concerned with their own image as being inherently scummy, I think Town is just as concerned with their image a good portion of the time.

I think I'm okay with taking a more aggressive line this game and actually pressuring for claims, as opposed to the last two games where we had very low commitment until very end of day. Plus I think there's something actually valuable to asses from Sheep's claim to see if it matches with him following my soft claim page 1.

To be fair Crescent, I think you could charitably read Sheep's interactions as being self-centered. He has made a distinct choice to pair him and I together as an interaction with the soft claims, which he has referenced back to a couple times, but you could also read his attack on Sultan as "why didn't you mention me?" rather than, well, me.

I was going to do isos of everyone, started with BCT then jumped to sheep due to votes starting to accrue.

BlueCrystalTear - Suspicious, currently leaning scum. Very first post goes gee I hope no one thinks Im scum (p4). Crescent questions it and BCT immediately goes gee, dont be the dunce who takes my shitposting seriously (p8). Quick to put suspicion on Dumey (p36), talks about pulling off a con acting paranoid and not getting scanned as a result (p44) just like this game so far, votes for Han (p86) after a clear joke, Crescent says kill it with fire but eh, Im still leaning town and then a couple posts later BCT says crescent is pinging their radar (p95) unless she hasnt read any of BCTs games. Sort of the same vibe like up front with the hey, dont be the fool who takes my shtick seriously post, theres this attitude of cmon arent you familiar with my mafia game? And all this when crescent said shes still leaning town on him! Last thing of note, said it would be suspicious not to vote for Han since Han drew unneeded attention (p112) when it had long been made painfully obvious long before then Han was joking. Also bragged about winning Nickelodeon mafia as scum with.

Sheep007 - immediately makes an excuse for BCT (p10). Expressed not wanting to place blind faith in Chris (p14) does Sheep feel like Chris reads him best and is trying to get ahead of it this game? Supposedly considered claiming on first page (p33). Following a BCT is probably town post by Han, sheep makes another excuse for BCT (p128). Asks BCT for their thoughts (p219). Asks BCT for a follow up (p262). Clears BCT as a fairly clean town read (p276). Asks me how I feel about Chris specifically even though theres a ton of people I didnt mention maybe trying to see if he can get momentum on a Chris lynch since Chris has voted for them? Hoping Ill drop a wall for Chris like I did for Ulti? (p279). Sultan is the first one to call out BCT <-> Sheep. Sheep thinks BCT has been too aggressive and not hidey enough to be scum (p305). But it sounds like BCTs game is the same whether theyre town or scum.

That's the point. Extreme focus on another player is generally scum-slanted. I've already said I don't think you're both scum.

Might I note Ulti has popped in multiple times and yet to answer my question about his motives around last games scum chat and ctes asking if he got access. After my first post of the game detailing Ultis active start to the game he only really responded by asking me if I know how cop works.

Theres been more to sheeps game than the BCT connection but apart from a post by Sultan, I feel like sheep trying to shift focus off BCT went a little under the radar. Doesnt mean theyre both scum but if sheep flips scum, BCT deserves a harder look. Just because someone is known to act paranoid as town doesnt mean they arent scum.

I'm not really concerned about how you feel about me. I just didn't understand your point about him being Dumey-centric meaning anything, as I could see the motive was to talk about his own interactions, but you clarified and I understand now.

Wallmasterz, your ISO of BCT reads more to me that you're not vibing with their personality more than you think they're scum. And then it seems conditional on Sheep's alignment in your follow-up post. Do you think knowing BCT's alignment would change whether or not you think Sheep is town or scum? Or do you think Sheep's focus and shift from BCT is independent of BCT's alignment?

I didn't take it as voicing suspicion either? I just find it strange that Sultan would not say anything about it at all and then mention it as the most noteworthy part of the game to him. You could well be right and it's just that he isn't fully in the game yet - I would hope that me actively trying to do things to get him to talk help with that!

I don't think it was (much) less unnecessary, but I would have enjoyed it more. Perhaps it's been rash, but whether something seems fun has been my attitude for a lot of today.

I'm just gonna claim straight up, because I don't think I can get away with not doing so today and it would probably distract everyone for the next 24+ hours if I carry on without doing so? But I'm vanilla and was trying to be cute at the start of the day. I'm sorry for making a lot of today so far about me - I played everything up a lot last night to get people talking and it kinda backfired (I was not expecting myself to take up all that much space). I'm happy to have gotten a lot of content out of it, but I think too much of today has been focused on me for it to actually be productive, especially if I get lynched: I think there's a decent enough consensus for it already that I'm not sure you'd get many reads analysing the votes.

Gonna be away for a couple hours, and then will be back to answer any questions.

BCT is an emotional guy. For him to be Scum, he has to arrive at a place where he can control himself and analyze actions towards him and falsify his reactions in a way that perfectly channels overreaction and missing the point. I don't want to be mean to BCT (sorry!) but I don't believe he's capable of that level of self-awareness and control to be able to channel his natural Town persona while as Scum.

I dont have anything against BCTs personality, I just dont think anyone (BCT or myself included) needs to be babied. I think it was Lea who said the low hanging fruit (I assume she meant both of us) are being wrapped in styrofoam or something for d1. My feelings about BCT changed when I re-read and BCT acknowledged taking this very approach in a game they won as scum. I think BCT might be town but by no means have they earned the town read sheep was very quick to give them. I found it especially suspicious once I knew sheep and BCT won a game where they were both scum. I think BCT should be allowed to play to their style and personality but everyone should be allowed to suspect them and not have to treat them with kid gloves. Han made a joke and got a vote cast on them for crying out loud.

I think knowing BCT is town would ease my mind a little about sheep, yeah. But by no means do I think one being confirmed confirms the other. Not sure I understand the very last question but I think Sheep seemed quick to put BCT in the town pile and start asking BCT to chime in then slowed down with that when the attention was finally off BCT.

I can understand jumping onto a soft claim for fun as a Vanilla. The fact that it wasn't a more prepared role to get around potential watch/track options or something makes me more likely to believe it. I'm okay with this for the moment.
