As a person who works in the public, I wouldn't put the percentage of people who wear masks past 5% on a good day. There are days where I don't see a single person wearing one.

After mandates fell away it seemed to be a solid quarter of people who still wore them and then just gradually dwindled down to almost no one.

What about you guys? Still masking? Never masked in the first place?

In my day-to-day life I haven't worn a mask since early 2021. I did have to involuntarily wear a mask two weeks ago when I took my friend to the ER. Only forced to wear a mask once in the last two years.

Whenever I'm feeling under the weather I'll put one on now.

Halloween

I'm still masking and it's still fairly common to see in LA. I went to a play on Sunday where they strongly encouraged us to wear masks. I'd say about half the audience had on masks

Today

I wear one at work every day, as well as when I am in any indoor public place.

I dont wear one when Im at a private gathering with friends/family (those tend to be 2-4 people in most cases).

Went to the doctor a couple weeks back

Sometime in 2022. I went to the doctor wearing one, but I don't think that's voluntarily since they required it.

Which coincidentally, it turned out I had COVID then.

Still masking in public. The pandemic made me realize how quick shit can get bad.

I also no longer need allergy meds thanks to masking by and large, so it saves me a little money lol

I wore a paintball mask last weekend.

Never stopped. It's kind of great. Protects against cold weather and I haven't had a cold in years.

A few weeks ago when I went to the barber.

I wouldn't say I never stopped but I have worn a mask in the past month

If the place I'm going seems too crowded / shut-in / etc I'll wear one

Every day at work. It's so irritating when a member will come into my office and say in a sarcastic tone "oh, do I need a mask?"

Like, nah dude, you don't. I'm wearing mine, that's all. You didn't see but like one other person on this entire building wearing one. Chill.

2022 I only stopped because I live in Texas and some radicals kept making comments that it needed to breath or some shit. Since I also look Mexican, I figured I rather not incite them into attacking me.

I spend the vast majority of my time in a highly (>99%) vaccinated population of individuals. None of us are required to wear masks around each other, unless we're exhibiting signs or symptoms of being sick.

So even if I was being proactive and wearing a mask, it's kind of pointless since everybody isn't.

I stopped for like a month last year and got covid for the first time. I learned my lesson and mask up whenever I go out now. I had a boomer look at me in disgust and say, "really" as I was walking into a health food grocery store. I glared back at him and he actually put his head down when he saw I was looking and quickly got into his car. I was ready that day lol

A few weeks ago. My eye doctor's office is in the hospital which requires masks but doesn't require masks in the office space itself.

Well you know its just another piece of clothing at this point. Pop some art, feel warm, feel safe. And it's a great way to stay in shape.

Whenever they dropped all the mask mandates everywhere. I threw that thing away as soon as I could.

I'm still wearing one. I take public transportation regularly to go to work.

Haven't worn one this year. I don't live with old people (parents) anymore.

Never did wear one.

The only times I did wear one was when it was required like when I had to go to the Chemists/Pharmacy (Drugstore).

I hated it. I couldn't breathe and I found that it would steam up my glasses something rotten.

That's what makes these poll results so interesting. Currently sitting at half of CE poll responders as dedicated mask wearers.

Since I haven't answered, I stopped wearing one the moment the mandates dropped. I've never had COVID, but holy shit I've had a whole host of other illnesses.

If I'm on public transport or going inside a shop, I'll put one on. If I'm walking around outside, I see no point.

I hardly see anyone wearing a mask these days though. Makes me feel like the odd one out.

I got an std test the other day and had to wear one in there, but voluntarily? Like the last day they were required

No, I tested positive. Just wanted to be 100% though because work told me I could have 7 days off if it was positive at the docs.

End of January, when I quit my job. Haven't worn one in the last month.

A couple months ago while I had the flu

Still mask in public, living in a small southern town, I don't wanna risk getting sick

I wear a mask everyday because the air quality in my city is horrible.

It has gotten to the point that most people have bought air purifiers for their homes.
