Living standards dont improve immediately though. It takes years after the dieoff for society to react and adjust to the shock of a significant portion of the population just dropping dead. And The Snap was a larger and more sudden shock than the Black Death. So maybe, just maybe society is starting to recover to a point where you could see a net increase in living standards and then WHOOOPS now billions of people just popped back into existence good luck.

That is assuming his deal with the ex gamer turned God that allowed him to morph again doesn't apply to us as well cause that's a pretty good loophole.

Yeah thats fair enough. I mainly just mentioned it because thats how its presented in TFatWS. Of course the MCU in general mostly seems like our Earth but more pleasant, then occasionally aliens attack.

the first shot in Endgame after the 5 year skip is showing a dystopian NYC and a self help group led by captain fucking america, because that's how broken everyone is. Don't forget ant man running through the streets filled with garbage

Bad causation vs correlation. Eliminating black death by killing 50% of the population can definitely make sense as an overall improvement.

That doesn't apply to the snap. It's all downside.

Also realistically, there's no reason the 50% would include Earth. There's quadrillions of people across the universe, chances half of the quadrillion who survive does not include the mere 7 billion of Earth. It would much more likely be a total wipeout.

I mean being a Na'vi seems pretty awesome when you're not getting shot at by the military
