Does CE take any supplements to help with sleep?




I occasionally take OLLY sleep gummies.

Helps me relax and sleep deeper on those days when I need it. It's just melatonin, chamomile, lemon balm, passion flower, and L-theanine.

The directions say to take two gummies, but I find that one is more than enough.

I alternate every other night between Benadryl and melatonin. I get sleep anxiety so its the only thing that helps.

The worst

What never helps me is trying to force myself to sleep when I can't sleep. I just end up tossing and turning that way.

When that happens, I'll take some melatonin and read a book until I drift off.

I've been taking a melatonin an hour before I want to sleep and another when it's time to sleep. It seems to be working.

None, but I will mention having possible sleep apnea when I visit the doctor next month. Apparently, I snore and at times, stop breathing.

On occasion I take something. Especially when travelling to new time zones. It's a good hard reset for me.

Yeah, prescription stuff (prescribed by a doctor, of course).

Im supposed to phase them out at some point but I dont see it happening soon.

zzquil works sometimes, but it leaves me
groggy and feeling like literal shit the next day .

melatonin doesnt really work for me and if I take too much I have the weirdest nightmares.

I don't use any, but I have done a lot to optimize my sleep hygiene. Blackout curtains, blue-light filters, white noise, bougie pillow, sleep/wake schedule, notepad app for noting down anything bothering me before bed, etc, etc. I generally get 7-7.5 hrs a night.

ZZZQuil is strong stuff. I took that when I had COVID, which helped me fall asleep. And yes, it does make one groggy the next day.

As for melatonin, I find that the lower the dose the better it works. Everytime I take 5 mg of melatonin, I find myself waking up. 3 mg of melatonin is okay. 1.5 mg is the perfect amount for me.

A lot of people think that higher doses of melatonin are better. On the contrary. I highly recommend you research it.

Melatonin doesn't seem particularly effective in my case. Zzzquil helped me get through a period of anxiety when I otherwise couldn't fall asleep. So I would recommend trying that or the off brand copies of that.

One thing that did work for me was CBD and melatonin. It worked like a charm the 5 or so times I did it. But who knows if it would have kept working, I always had issues with something working a couple times and then never again

Y'all are taking way too much melatonin. If I take it it's a max of 1mg. There's a reason prescription melatonin is in the microgram levels .

Everyone is different, but for me 1.5 mg is the sweet spot.

I do agree that anything past 5 mg is going to be excessive for most people.
