So Street Fighter Duel came out like 2 weeks ago. 1st big event is Monster Hunter cross over with Ken in a Gore Magala armor and weapon. Everyone though he was gonna be summonable with gems but it turns out he's only summonable with a pay wall. The community is fucking screeching at Capcom for this and I can't blame them.

Half true. Hes not summonable with gems which is causing screeching, which is the true part.

Whats untrue is that hes paywalled. You get an item called Wyvern Tears as a reward when the raid boss is killed, and thats used in a gacha for GM Ken. And of course you get more tears the more times the boss is killed. Also, you get Ken shards. I dont recall why Im getting them or if theyll be enough to summon him, but theyre there lol

Luckily Im not interested in getting him, so Im fine. Hopefully though, thisll make Capcom make future collabs better in case they have something that I actually care about lol

You're right. More of this is coming to fruition as time is going by. Definitely see how this is gonna work out.

Didn't they up the amount of event pulls from 10 to 60 in order to guarantee him though? That's insanely shitty if so.

I dont know what it used to be, but yeah, its 60. A single 10 pull is far too generous for any gacha though lol. Im surprised they would do that initially lol. And if what the chat was saying is accurate, he used to be legendary, meaning that you didnt even need any dupes to max him out.

Games really need to learn not to nerf the benefits when releasing games in different regions. Like how Counterside gave Guilty Gear and Code Geass collabs with actual units, but for global, they had only skins that you had to pay $36 each for if you were screwed over by RNGesus and didnt get one for free (me). Do devs think that players dont know what other regions got and are upset when their stuff pales in comparison?

Lol well YGO collab returning on PAD. It was a long time coming so people were really excited for it, only to see the teasers be possibly the weakest teaser they've ever done for a collab possibly ever. They usually at least show 1 unit that can be a meta contender. The most offensive being Yugi with 3 Egyptian Gods, which was a new evo form, having mechanics that are probably 2 years old at this point.

They've done this for older cards that got upgrades in re-runs where they're pretty underwhelming, but this was a pretty new low since Yugi transform version was usable for like 3-4 years. Inconsistently, but still important whenever he had a slot.

This made Yugiweak (yuginoob perhaps?) trending on JP Twitter, and in response PAD had to announce some last minute adjustments to make them less shitty

Jaden also snuck his ass into the collab. No Yusei or any 5D's characters. 5D's is insanely popular in JP so I'm guessing either that's a long term plan, or Konami just wanted mostly DM characters, or the devs are a fan of DM.

Tower event in FGO. The worst possible type of event to release while I'm on travel and busy, haha..

Still chipping away gradually, but skipping the story until I have time to sit down and read it. Glad I finally have a fully leveled roster for one of these.

I think about that every time I hear about a dev/publisher making stupid decisions on a game previously released in other regions. Places like Discord and Reddit make it impossible to hide things like that.

Exactly what happened in Project Neural Cloud's case, lol. We got less keys (stamina items) compared to CN server, jumbled banner and event order, etc.

Maybe for the better or worse.

I skimmed a few pages here and didn't see any mention of it, but a fairly obscure Korean company called Project Moon released a gacha recently called Limbus Company and I've been pretty addicted to it. I've seen a lot of Arknights fans speak positively about it, but I couldn't tell you why since I've never touched that game personally. The game systems are a little simplistic right now but PM has a good track record of evolving their games over time, and they've already announced a new E.G.O Overclock feature coming I think next month.

It has a few really good songs by Mili (One of them featuring Kihow) and features characters named after books (Don Quixote, Faust, Mersault). You don't roll for characters in this one; which is what I'm used to in Gacha, but instead "Identities". Reflections of their other selves in other worlds where things turned out differently. Base Sinclair is a weak crybaby who can't do anything? Maybe try "Jefe de los Mariachis" Sinclair where he became a criminal gangleader dual-wielding Maracas.

I'm excited for the upcoming N.Corp Heathcliff and Faust banners. I managed to get N.Corp Mersault and Rodion from the previous banner and the N.Corp units all have a synergistic gimmick involving applying Nails to enemy (Which is basically just Bleed with extra steps) and then gaining Fanaticism when attacking enemies who have been Nailed.

Edit: Just after typing this I go and find one page before the page I started on someone talking about Limbus, lmao.

Well, for what's worth I asked who would be DL-ing Limbus on #66 lol.

Ended up not doing it because they said android client sucks ass not to mention 2 existing games there, and I already have games on PC.

The app seems a little slow, but I like the game well enough to have finished the Limbus Pass already. I'm also addicted to PM's setting from their prior two games though, so I'm obviously biased here. Played and almost beat both games and I've read their webcomics and novels.

Limbus Company is definitely one of the better gachas to release recently. Good gameplay and the devs have been amazing so far with fixing issues and giving compensation.

I skipped Limbus Company for 3 reasons. Ive never played anything else in that universe, none of the designs in the promotional stuff appealed to me, and the biggest one is the pre-release stuff bragging about how difficult it is. I had to eventually quit my 2 favourite gachas because they got too difficult for me to progress, so using extreme difficulty as a selling point is a personal nope.

I don't play many gacha, but in my experience devs are always extremely clingy early on, showering us with gifts and updates to signal that the game has legs and will keep going. Granted, PM has typically delivered on their promises and shown long-term support, but it's not unique in that regard imo.

There's a bit of history to this. Project Moon games are known for their Difficulty. Lobotomy Corporation is like trying to manage an SCP facility. Where every Abnormality has it's own page of rules that must be followed, and emergent gameplay derived from the interaction of those rules. If you have good memory, nobody gets hurt and the game can actually be pretty boring. And then Violet Noon shows up and stomps half your facility because you forgot to check the forecast. Or you forgot that an employee was equipped with Black Swan and Punishing Bird got out.

Library of Ruina on the other hand is a deck-builder card game where you play as Librarians. (So instead of cards they're called Pages) It's...complicated. It's a direct sequel and features all the same characters as Lobotomy Corproation. But it's well known for having absurd difficulty spikes at certain points. Though there's usually four routes to choose from and the non-obvious solution to the difficulty spike is that the other four routes will all have better cards than what you entered a chapter with, thus what was once an impenetrable wall of a boss like Love Town becomes kind of a cake walk after exploring the other branches for their "Pages"

As the saying goes. "The Difficulty curve is vertical". On that note though, I haven't found Limbus very hard. I auto-battle almost every encounter. 2-18 I beat prior to nerf so it should be fine now, and 3-22 is pretty tough but people have done it with a full party of base units so it can't be that bad. They did recently announce Endgame which they're advertising as challenging content. We'll see. I don't want my Gacha game to be too hard so I don't feel pushed into whaling for better units, but so far it hasn't been any harder than say, Dragalia Lost or Pokemon Masters EX. Both of which made me quit because their end-game was too difficult for a casual player like myself.

This post isn't made to disagree, just sharing my experiences with the game so far. I can definitely see the game's aesthetics not being very pleasing to the average Gacha enjoyer whose here to collect waifus / husbandos.

But seriously though, how the fuck do you introduce a game-crashing bug in a re-run event that wasn't there the first time the event ran?

It's not that hard actually. There's more code present now than there was when the event first ran, and it's likely that some fiddly bit of code for the localization or some other event map transition messed with the map transition code for the Mysteria event.

We like to think of event code as independent modules, but they generally aren't.

Edit: I'm also not sure how much code from old events is actually kept by PriConne. If they delete old events until their rerun, someone could have just forgotten the extra map or transition when loading today's patch.

They fixed the game crashing bug early in the morning (30 minutes before the daily reset) and gave players zero compensation for the missed day of event grinding. I know it's a re-run event so not as many players care about the rewards in this event, but still... zero compensation. Lame.

I reinstalled Priconne for the Anne/Grea banner but apparently I completely missed it. I expected it to run with the event, not before it. Oh well.

They're in the permanent pool and not limited, so they'll probably spook you eventually if you play long enough. You can even grind their memory shards and eventually unlock them yourself in some of the later hard mode chapters.

Anne and Grea also eventually get a duo unit for Prifest down the line, though that's about 3 years away for NA servers, since it was this year in JP.

Help google suspended my pay account. I can't use my card, play store cards or add/remove any payment method. I sent my info already anyone know how long this takes to resolve? It's been 4 days since the last update from my part.

PAD listened to the fans, gave the new Yugi Egyptian God Evo a single buff, a pointless 1 cd buff, which doesn't matter because they went from completely unviable of 7 cd, when most good non-hasting actives are 2-4 cd, to 6 cd. Fantastic, surely this will solve all the problems

JP sites now rate him 6.5-7/10 lmao, one of the worst ratings they ever gave a high rarity card in a collab in the recent memory. He's only 6.5-7 because they at least gave him that high rarity typical stat line lmao, meaning he's at least better than the lower rarity cards as a pure damage stick.

Despite having all 3 Egyptian Gods in the art, he's also missing the new and exciting triple attribute that the Gundam collab introduced. He could've been a really cool red/blue/light type, which would've actually solved all of its problems.

#yugiweak might be trending for a bit longer. I'm sad that I can't get excited by one of my favorite collabs potentially returning in 2-3 months

I mean I played day 1, but rerolled unsuccessfully for Hubble a bunch of times. It was pretty soul-crushing. Ironically now, on my second reroll I got Hubble. So I'm going to stick with this account since there are 10 pull tickets for the 7 day log in bonuses which coincidentally is going to line up with how long Nascita's banner will be up.

I got Avenger of Shinjuku. Looks cool, though it's weird it won't tell me the name

Avenger of Shinjuku is a decent Avenger. Though more importantly, he's a 4* of a rare class, so unless you luck out on getting better Avengers down the line, he'll serve you well for a while.

As for why there are servants with hidden names, they're all from part 1.5, Epic of Remnant, whose names were hidden for (mostly minor) plot reasons. If they pop up again in other events, they give them nicknames to keep up the act, but they ultimately stopped doing the gimmick after that arc, and in particular, they outright stopped hiding who Archer of Shinjuku and Caster of Okeanos are just because they're so prevalent in events (or rather, related to people whose names are easily known).

If you don't care for spoilers, they are:

(Note: Archer of Shinjuku and Rider of the Resistance are the only servants whose identities are, I would say, plot-relevant to their singularities. Just keep in mind if you decide to unspoiler those two.)

Also worth noting is that almost all of these servants are at least *decent* if not good, with exception to Assassin of Shinjuku (basically a much weaker Jack the Ripper), Rider of the Resistance (who's the only 3* on this list, though isn't much worse than the other low-rarity Riders), Caster of Nightless City (who is so bad that she's notable memed to be weaker than Phantom of the Opera), and the Shimousa servants (who are just meh).

IIRC, Nightless Caster is fine now. She's had two strengthenings and an interlude, and Castoria exists now.

She was bad on release, though the only reason she got meme'd as weaker than Phantom is that most of the Kings people think of immediately are Riders. At this point, out of 79 Kings in the game, only 13 are Riders, while 16 are Assassin/Berserker. She's a decent pick now for anti-King damage, even at neutral.

Yeah, but according to some, you could actually guarantee either Hubble or Aki from release day with the first-clear bonus/rewards/achievement.

I pulled Hubble at 40 or 50? Then tried my chance at Aki unsuccessfully after 50 so I I believe you can actually get 180 pulls (the maximum you need for banner guarantee) before Hubble's banner ended back then.

and Hubble has been powercrept in sheer strength, though she still has her black hole ultimate that nobody can do
