I feel like it didn't even take one full quarter to prove everyone was right when they said Giants/Vikings was between the two biggest frauds in the playoffs.

The Giants had a chance if Hurts wasn't 100%, but he seems fine and this defense is again godawful and never covers any receivers.

Talking heads spent all week gushing over this defense and I was wondering if any of them actually bothered to watch the game against Minnesota where for 3 1/2 quarters, the only thing that stopped the Vikings from getting TDs on every drive was the Vikings.

What was the line? I hadn't watched any coverage all week and just assumed Eagles would have been the favorites by a lot. I didn't realize it was debatable?

The line was Eagles by 7.5 most of the week, which was around the same line as Chiefs/Jags. It was honestly probably too low, but the Giants got overhyped from their win.

It really wasn't "debatable", but I did think the Giants had more of a shot than either the Jags or the Cowboys.

Dallas is losing by double digits.

The only teams left in the playoffs I would've had any confidence in the Eagles to beat were the Giants and Jaguars.

If Dallas or SF were playing the Eagles this week I would favor them.

And I think SF smacks Dallas this week sooo

The Eagles have 4 times the yards, 2 times the time of possession, and 6 times the first downs at halftime... I think this is worse than Chargers/Jaguars except it's just 1 turnover... Or is it worse because it's that bad with only 1 turnover?

It's way worse since the Chargers should've been up by more than they were

Assuming this just runs the clock out, I did have a perfect tiebreaker 1. Except I changed it just before the first game started.

My two takeaways from this game:

1. Daboll is a quitter.
2. Daniel Jones is still an abomination of a QB.

Would love if DaBoll would borrow whatever Doug Pederson drinks to make his balls so big. But I'm still pretty happy with this coach. We made the playoffs when I thought we'd have a Top 5 pick.

This season was built on a lot of ugly and questionable wins. Ex: The Jaguars completely dominated them and found a way to lose.

The Vikings defense was responsible for two of three of Jones' statistically "great" games this year. They were a 6 or 7 win caliber team with 9 1/2 wins, the same way the Vikings were an 8 or 9 win caliber team but had 13.

Nothing about the way this team played in big games against good opponents convinced me of anything. They had two shots against the Cowboys and Eagles (week 18 doesn't count), and they looked like garbage in all 4. Coaching can only do so much when the talent just isn't there.

I have no idea why anyone acts as if this is anything but a great season from a giants team who we expected nothing from.

I'm not convinced it was even a great season. It was a lucky one that tricked people into thinking they're better than they are.

Feels like a silly distinction tbh. Ball doesn't lie over the long haul.

It was a great season. Do we still have work to do? Absolutely. We're still rebuilding. But it's hard to deny this was a great season. First playoff win in 11 years. Daboll is a good coach. He got a lot more out of this team than I thought possible. Not sure we're back in the playoffs next year or not, but for the first time in a while I have a bit of optimism for this team's future.

Giants had a good season. They definitely overperformed expectations and while that was a bad way to end the season they just got bodied by a superior team is all.

Daboll probably CotY even though we all know it should go to Inevitable Tomlin.

Sometimes being lucky leads to being good. This was basically the same Giants team as last year, and they won 5 more games and won a playoff game for the first time in a decade. Yeah, they aren't ready to compete with the top tier of the league, but they shouldn't be expected to do that yet.

Gah. This is usually my favorite weekend of the sports year, but we could be trending towards 3/4 games this weekend being snoozefests.

I think both games will be entertaining tomorrow.

Watching Dallas getting smacked is almost always entertaining so that checks out

Dallas playoff games are rarely boring. Even last week in a blowout, watching Maher miss 4 straight XPs was oddly compelling

Meaning today's game will come down to a last second FG

Bills probably have the 1 seed with Daboll still with them, so I'm still jealous the Giants got him.

Yeah. The idea that you need a deep run to have a successful season is dumb. The Giants are on the right path. You just need a couple receivers and a DB or two.

I'm loving the snow and physicality of the game but the Bill's don't have any answers to the offense or defense right now. I hope it gets more competitive but so far, oof
