I assume you don't have to kill Final Takumi twice because he's functionally using Replicate (like the duplicates in Conquest chapter... 15?), which means that both instances share the same health bar. Just as well, 'cause man oh man, that is a chapter worth stockpiling staves for. Oh, and pawning any S-ranks you can't use so you can stock up on tonics, that's good too. (Sadly, you have to reapply tonics between Garon and Takumi.)

The cave chapter in Revelation is probably one of the worst chapters in all of Fire Emblem. Tiny party, no unit choices, pseudo Fog of War, and on top of all that it is much, much longer than it has any right to be.

I'm not sure if the Hoshidan classes themselves are also faster but it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm confident that Hoshidan classes are faster while Nohrian classes are bulkier. I haven't actually crunched the numbers, but we're talking matchups like Spear Fighter vs Knight and Technically-Not-Pegasus vs Wyvern here, let alone more "minor" stuff like Samurai vs Mercenary or Kitsune vs Wolfskin.

The only exception I can think of is Oni vs Fighter.

I agree that the fog of war cave chapter is really bad. It's really telling that this is the first real Revelations chapter and it's just completely awful. I'm surprised you stuck with Felicia instead of Jacob because I think Jacob is just much better for that map alone.

I picked it back up on chapter 20 because I'm sure as shit not playing the whole thing over. I don't know wtf I was thinking with my team? I have like 16 promoted characters, and also some that have clearly been raised but not promoted? Why was I using like 20 units? Fuck it, I'm just going with whoever is at the top of the roster right now.

I think I was planning to marry Rhajat here but I can't imagine I bother to do that much support grinding. Hayato is barely even at B with anyone. Maybe I'll just skip the child units entirely even though weird shipping is like this game's whole appeal.

Has Fates ever given you good level-ups for characters you actually want to use?

I have generally speaking been getting decent levels on the whole.

I do still occasionally get the 1 point pop, hell Gunter has done it 4 times lol. But usually I end up with 3 points at least, very rarely 2.

I got through the Ice Boat chapter which I, uh....did not...like, and am a good chunk through cleaning up Paralogues for throwaway kids I'm not gonna use just to get sole weapon exp and support grinding in, since I can do Takumi and Camilla now.

I made Azura into a Spear Master after she hit 21, worst case I can always just turn her back into a Dancer after getting some skills and I assume all the Skills will be relevant to use on dancer as well.

Should be going to sleep but just looking at class charts, lol.

Man there's literally no way to get Bow Knight Takumi without and F!Corrin boonw marriage setup, damn.

If you look up maps of every remaining chapter and replace "Ice Boat" with vague descriptions of each of them in order, you can probably "complete the playthrough" without any of us noticing you didn't actually play the game

Gunter doesn't even fight promoted units in the Arena. The game isn't even pretending this man is viable.

I think what I want to do next FE wise is play through Binding Blade and intentionally use all of the scrub characters. That sounds fun.

She's not great. I made her a witch with the DLC item and she was okay.

Mind you I'm the kind of person who used Sophia in FE6 and my standards for magic users are about where you'd expect them, given that.

Nyx has one use alone, sadly, and that's to make Ophelia absolutely batshit in Conquest.

Can't Elise do that just as well as Nyx can?

But then you cant marry her to make her a Berserker!
(Also Odin benefits way more from a pair up Nyx than he does paired up with Elise in either direction.)

Nyx's one big use in Conquest is to get her to level 10 on her join map, then promote her to Dark Knight because it makes her actually pretty good in chapter 10, decent for a bit after that and then you just make her Leo's backpack anyway. She can also be solid if you go Dark Flier, frail as hell but her offense is nice for a while.
