Mostly unrelated, but when I was filling out the dex, I almost threw a master ball at a stantler cuz I kept getting annoyed by it using status on my dudes when I was trying to status it. I already had the five legendary pokeymans without using the master ball (actually they were all in balls with unboosted catch rates) and they were all less annoying.

I was going to try and wait until I got the shiny charm to do shiny hunting, but I have both a Nymble and Flittle horde going today so I definitely have to try for one of those.

I've now caught 362 pokemon

One the shiny spawns, you can save in front of it in case something bad like this happens.

They can self destruct on the field. If you don't see them from far away it's basically impossible to catch them

My pawmo was killing itself with Wild Charge and both my dream ball and my heart ball failed along with several ultra balls leaving me no choice but to resort to a Repeat Ball I had no idea you could save infront of shinies to try again.

Oh right, yeah, Voltorb can do that. You just have to approach cautiously and use the "throw a ball to trigger a battle and catch it off guard" thing that they sort of carried over from PLA.

Yeah, you can. For mass outbreak shinies, I don't know if they have a time limit and disappear when the outbreak ends (I wouldn't risk it by doing your hunt so close to midnight anyways) but for other kinds of shinies, they'll stay there until you move far enough away to despawn them. Even if it's a shiny generated by sparkling boosts from sandwiches, it'll stay there even after the sandwich boosts wear off as long as you don't move too far away from it.

Heard they were putting out a patch. Did it fix any performance issues?

All the patch fixed was problems with the online battle RNG, a glitch with the E4/Champion music, and a duplication glitch. Nothing was done to address the performance issues yet, but they did at least sort of acknowledge them. Maybe next time.

Saw a video earlier that said to use bug encounter/sparkle power in the desert. It makes it so you basically only see Rellor and Larvesta depending on where you are you'll only see one or the other.

Also, I don't have any salty herbs mystica, so I used the recipe in the op for bitter and it didn't give the encounter power. But the same recipe with sweet and spicy did.

I think far north has Pokmon around 45-50. And I think somewhere on the west is an area with level 50 Pokmon everywhere

There's an in-game trade in Levincia where you can trade a Pincurchin for a Haunter, and (unlike that bitch in one of the past games) there's no Everstone on it so it'll immediately evolve into Gengar.

It's a pretty useful number. Unlikely to have too many people using that same code at once since all the numbers are different and the target audience of Pokemon probably don't understand/care for the reference. >_>

Goddamn this game is amazing in spite of the jank. Recent patch boosted performance a good bit too, still not looking great but its not unplayable anymore.

You wait five hours to hear "you couldn't join the raid, try again bitch" and then another four hours for the chance to refresh the listings. Then it's still a crap shoot chance in hell to actually clear the raid, and even if you do, herbs are a myth.

If the system to join the stupid fights is gonna be so laggy and tedious (not to mention how glitchy and slow the actual fights are), then they should seriously nerf the bosses and increase herb chances. Or give us some other way to get herba mystica in normal solo play, however tedious. I just want the one for the teacher's request, but the four I've actually gotten are all other herbs.

Farm some 4-star raids for exp candy and money, then get yourself a Goldengo w/ Metal Coat that knows nasty plot, metal sound, recover, and steel beam. EV train it in HP and Sp. Atk and level it up to 100 with your candy.

Have fun soloing most 5 and 6 star raids now. Most will only need 3 nasty plots and one metal sound before Steel Beam OHKOs. Use recover as needed.

When you get more resources, you can build other strong raid attackers like Azumarill, Sylveon, and Iron Hands to cover what Goldengo cannot.

I might hafta do that some day. It's really annoying that there are like six pokemon total that are viable for high level raids though. Also, are buffs and debunks actually useful in raids? I always hear about using them but it seems like every couple turns the raid boss nullifies them all and steals your tera charge for good measure.

They can be good. It is true that the boss nullifies it every few turns. But if you use it right after he nullifies, you might get a couple of turns out of it

Ursaluna will probably be busted for raids when it can be transfered over.

Those happen at health and time thresholds, just like the energy shield. It varies a bit with each star-level, but it's able to be manipulated.

They can only "cure" themselves once per raid, and negate your buffs twice. If you can time it right, it shouldn't be an issue, especially since the AI doesn't do much damage.

Charizard was especially exploitable since it opened with Overheat, then cured itself of the Special Atk. debuff immediately. After that you used fake tears 3 times and it was an easy sweep from there.

When my friend and I fought Charizard, it immediately started with clearing either buffs or debuffs (cant remember which) before anyone did anything at all That seems like a waste (which was good for us, I guess) Haha

I've officially completed all three main storylines in my birds only second playthrough. I was scared of Grusha and his Ice-type gym, so I saved him for after finishing the other two stories, then took care of him, the Elite Four, and the champion battles. Here's my team heading into Area Zero for the final story:

Also, I think I ran into a weird graphical glitch at the Ice gym. My Miraidon was randomly white instead of its normal color during the cutscene after finishing the snow slope challenge, then it went back to being its normal color after I was back in control of my character. Did the game load its shiny color scheme for some reason by accident? Did the textures just bug out and not load its normal color? Either way, it looks badass.

I totally agree, plus then shiny Koraidon could be black to balance out white Miraidon.

If a Black/White remake is just gonna be the same uninspired dreck as BDSP I dont want it. >_>

But with SV's past/future gimmick it would be a missed opportunity not to get Unova involved somehow, given how they did the same thing with the dragon gym town and the postgame area.

I beat the final story with my birds. That was a fun playthrough. Oricorio remained the MVP all the way to the end, because the final battle against AI Turo was a Pelipper sweep thanks to several Quiver Dance boosts baton-passed to it from Oricorio.

Now back to Tera raid farming on my main account and thinking about what shiny I want to go for next.

So fuck Pawmo or Pawmi or whatever. I parked on a PokeStop and let the little fucker run constantly for over 11 minutes. Then used a rare candy. Did he evolve?

I boxed the little shit and swapped in Tinkotuff (or whatever the second level is called), and it evolved within three levels.

The latest Jimquisition vid gave a good review of it. It's fucking horrible because of the bugs, stuttering, running below 30 fps... and despite all of that, it is a fun game that plenty of people will not have any issue putting large amounts of time into.

They also went a bit in on the fact that while cd projekt red had to apologize for the launch state of cyberpunk 2077, gamefreak has fans coming out defending it looking and running worse than legends arceus.

And they're right about the overall rating. It stutters so much and has a lot of issues and graphical bs that shouldn't be happening over and over every single minute you're riding around the wilderness. But at the end of the day, it's enjoyable enough for most of us and not just because as pokemon fans who have been fed basically the same game over and over for decades we would have liked it regardless. :c
