Finally finished up last season with mou ippon. This ended up better than I expected and I'd really like a season 2 although I feel like it's unlikely. They really pulled out all the stops for the last match and made judo look really cool. It's a shame all the fights didn't have that level of sakuga.

Watched the onmyouji isekai show. Wasn't expecting much, but it grew on me and ended up solid. Kind of hoping they'll make more of it. I like the little twist of Seika seemingly being the maou.

Watching Tomo is a girl next to take a break from the fantasy stuff.

Watched My Home Hero (animation quality bad, story might be good) and Kizuna no Allele (think I am going to drop this pretty hard, you can tell it was funded by Kizuna Ai).

crunchyroll is stupid as fuck

why can i switch to japanese voices and be able to choose from 34 different language subtitles, but when i switch to the eng dub there are exactly 0 subtitles, none, what the fuck

Watched Skip and Loafer. Watched the Megumin anime. Would let Megumin blow me up / 10.

the visual novel aspect of gundam breaker 3 is weird

Nearly every gundam after like, idk, 2000, has been a standalone universe completely unrelated to all the other ones. The exception being unicorn. The gundams before that are part of the UC timeline and are all connected and include gundam, war in the pocket, zeta, victory, unicorn, char's counterattack, ms 8th team, etc.

After that though you have wing, seed, 00, age, iron blooded orphans, reconquista, and turn a. Probably some I forgot. They all exist in their own unrelated universes. Gundam witch is similarly standalone. There is an episode 0 if you didn't watch it which is a prequel to the story and useful and informative.

In gundam witch, there is a brain interface system called the GUND format. It uses an energy system mined from other planets like mercury called permet. Mobile suits that use the GUND format for control are called GUND-ARMs (often shortened to gundam) and offer better response and control but it's damaging to the nervous system of the pilot, effectively overloading their nervous system. It was banned and the company researching it attacked and obliterated about 15-20 years before episode 1.

Watched some more stuff.

Megumin spinoff is fun. The music sounds strange in the konosuba universe even though it's good. Sounds very yuki kajiura even though it's the same sound director and music as all the other konosuba. Maybe I just don't remember it's music since it's been a while. It's sad to know Yunyun just isn't going to be happy in this entire show because her character arc doesn't really start until konosuba proper. Very pretty explosion as well. I can see how that would captivate someone.

KamiKatsu was interesting. A very horny isekai even though somehow not very ecchi. Mitama reminds me of the demon eye loli from mushoku tensei. Definitely interested in watching more.

Then today I watched yuri is my job and with a title like that, it seems like something that would be hard for me to dislike, and yet I found a way. It's kind of annoying. The main character is obnoxious and uninteresting in this episode and the characters are acting unreasonably and not humorously. I'll probably keep watching it because yuri but like, god damn, can't I as a yuri fan get a W for once? I'm still pissed about magic revolution from last season.

Still got dr stone's new season to start and later the hero is dead, which I'm hoping is good. Kind of mixed on the season overall right now. A fair amount has been below my expectations and some of those I had low expectations of to begin with.

Finished up Tomo chan is a girl. Tomo was super adorable and the whole cast was likeable. Probably one of the reasons I prefer romcom to romdram. I knew it wasn't going to happen, but I was kind of hoping the ending would leave us with Tomo dropping an "I'm pregnant" bomb at the end.

Next up is fired dark knight.

The hero is dead first episode was fine. Hasn't really stood out as good but hasn't proved to be awful yet either. Need the next episode to make a real deliberation on it's quality.

Too cute crisis was a lot better than I expected. A pleasant surprise. The alien girl is more adorable than the cats.

Onee-san isekai was about what I expected. The sister is pretty hot though. Definitely prefer this flavor over the mom isekai. Next we'll have overpowered imouto isekai at this rate. Show is currently watchable but not great.

Mashle I'd heard about when it was a manga (and I think it got canceled) but had a pretty good opening episode. It's like one punch man goes to harry potter. The main guy kinda reminds me of mob from mob psycho. I do worry that the gimmick will wear itself out before too long so hopefully it sets up other stuff to keep it interesting (like one punch man did).

Lesbian golf is back with birdie wing S2 and it's as stupid and fun as the first season. Damn rock stopped us from getting a yuri kiss in episode 1 though.

Still have bad girls and cafe terrace to watch as well. Not sure if I will watch tonikawa S2 or not but it also came on today.

Doesn't look like anything I want to watch on Fridays actually.

the manga's style was a LOT fuckin weirder for me, especially early on. it was like fruit of evolution bad

anime seems less bad to me, but it might only be because I know i'm gonna like the story anyways. ranna still looks like a gorilla hawk given human form, which is like helly said the point, but ehh

still an easy 8.5/10 for the manga. its got good themes.

Hell's paradise has some nice fight animation. Or I guess I should say slaughter animation cause that wasn't much of a fight. The expedition idea seems very strange. As far as we can tell it's not like the people that went before died from a lack of combat prowess. if anything it seems like they died of a strange fungal infection. Then again, I guess that one guy was alive when he made it back so perhaps they have more info they haven't shared yet.

Also seems a bit counterintuitive to send your elite executioners if the whole idea was to use disposable criminals.

Also boo cafe terrace is censored and so I will wait for the BD release, just like last seasons ayakashi triangle.

Do you like it? I enjoyed S1, but my friend who is into Gundam is still avoiding it because he doesn't like the premise.

Watching Insomniacs After School right now. How can this season have so many good shows? And Oshi no Ko hasn't even started yet.

Farming isekai went by way too quick. I'm hopeful that when the isekai explosion lets up, that at least some will still trickle in.

I have been using Google Lens for this for a while and it's a bit hit or miss. ChatGPT does some basic translation that's not terrible (about as good as deepl). Google Lens is a bit more advanced because of the image recognition and using google translate.
