In the comic canon, the Batfamily consists almost entirely of minorities.

• Bruce is Jewish.
• Dick is half Romani.
• Jason's ethnicity is apparently ambiguous enough that the East Asian Lady Shiva was a possible candidate for his mother.
• Barbara is a redhead.
• Tim is bisexual.
• Damian is Middle Eastern, but the entire Al Ghul family is white when they probably shouldn't be.
• Cassandra is Lady Shiva's daughter and shares her ambiguously East Asian ethnicity.
• Duke is black.

To my knowledge, Stephanie is the only non-minority in the bunch.

Yeah I really have no idea why Hollywood insists on having Blacks replace Red heads. I thought it was my friend (who is an Irish redhead) complaining about insignificant things, but the more and more I look into it the more it feels very suspect imo.

That honestly would have been really nice if the show put in the bare minimum effort to get their skin looking right. Let's be real here though, that pic isn't sitting amongst the others because the person that made it and the person that posted it are out here carrying water for orange skinned people.

He is indeed ethnically Jewish, but it's more a fun trivia fact than an actual aspect of the character. I'm pretty sure he was also made Jewish by accident. When DC created the character of Kate Kane, they made her Jewish and the niece of Martha Wayne. In Judaism, lineage is traced through the maternal line. Kate Kane being Jewish means Martha Wayne (ne Kane) is Jewish means Bruce Wayne is Jewish.

They are. Giving Bruce Jewish heritage was an accident when they made Batwoman, his cousin, Jewish through her dad who is Bruce's mom's brother. Judaism is passed through the mother so oops, Bruce is Jewish now lol

Superman does seem to be a very loose Moses adaptation, yes.

Jews were very involved in the early comic book industry. Comics were seen as "low art" and Jews were frequently denied working in various places. The comics industry was one of few places they could get work. So many of the iconic comic superheroes you love were created by Jews. That's pretty neat.

The first season of Titans was way better than it had any right to be. "Redhead erasure" is a garbage meme, the lady playing Starfire was fine.

They use her as an example of race swapping. They never elaborate about which race Anna Diop replaced her for.
