I have no political agenda, except that ALL of you just get out and vote. For the people and initiatives I want to win. Oh, and if you could vote against the initiatives I want to lose? That's probably even more important. I know sometimes I feign impartiality, but there's a reason I'm only recently making this big push for you all to vote: Because only recently did the prospects I fear come to be a realistic possibility for this country. I would be very upset if the people I don't like or the ideas I don't like succeed. We're talking about a war for decency and rational thinking and common sense! If the people I don't like should succeed in the midterms? If the ideas I don't like should become acceptable? Common sense is just that much more forsaken, not just in this country, but in the world. Of course I'm partial! I'm talking about voting for good, and against evil!

So vote, PotD. Otherwise you don't get to complain!

If only there were anti-votes.... no one wants to vote 3rd party, no one wants to back the loser; but EVERYONE wants to anti the cons.

Doesn't matter. Have no issues with my Rep and she'll win reelection and even if Diehl somehow wins Governer Massachusetts has a long history of good Republican governors.

This is the thinking of someone who spends way too much time online.

Echo chambers are bad for perspective. It's why things like Trump winning came as such an incredible shock to people who are completely out of touch with large portions of the real world. And a large part of why it's become so fashionable to demonize everyone on "the Other Side" while making no real attempt to actually understand their point of view, and making even less of an effort to ever attempt to actually change it using anything other than insults and condescension.

It's always easy to think that "everyone" thinks a specific way when you only ever interact with people who already agree with you.

Hochul is likely going to win and I hope she does, but Zeldin has closed the gap pretty tight. Its not as guaranteed as it once was.

I got something in the mail asking me to vote for a measure in our local area to force city government candidates to provide their party affiliation. Apparently they weren't required to do that. I would be completely AGAINST this measure. If anything I don't think parties should even be a thing nationwide. I feel like most of the time people just vote for the party they feel they support instead of the person. If parties didn't exist they would be forced to vote for the individual. They would have to actually learn about the individuals and their causes, watch debates, etc. This whole party nonsense is stupid.

I think I can vote in more elections in Scotland than the US right now even though I'm only a citizen in the US.
