You're suspicious of ctes for going in on Sultan, then changing his opinion after Ben's explanation. That's a fair basis.

I'm more confused at Han just swooping in and voting ctes outta nowhere, with IGCD just tagging along. But y'all are big brain Mafia players, so maybe there's just something I'm not seeing. I'm not completely convinced to vote ctes off of that one interaction, though. People can be convinced by a compelling argument, and I have to give credit to Ben that his logic seemed reasonable for why he thinks Sultan is town. So I don't think the case on ctes is very solid yet.

Plausible that Sultan learned from last game and is mixing up his strategy, but it'd be one hell of a pivot. If Sultan is feigning his town playstyle, he's doing a damn good job of it.

If Sultan is town:

- Knows Sultan is town and doesn't want to be associated with pushing a town lynch

If Sultan is scum:

- Was distancing initially, but doesn't want scummate to gain traction so makes up a reason to back off

It's pretty obvious why he'd play this way as scum. I'm more interested in why he'd play this way as town. There weren't a lot of arguments to weigh and the primary argument that got shot down was MINE not HIS (we pushed for different reasons)

Hmm... I see your argument. But I do think you're being a tad disingenuous to ctes here. Yes, ctes took issue with Sultan's opening post against BCT, but ctes also didn't like what Sultan had to say about Ben's claim.

His reasoning was slightly different from yours ("it sounds off" vs. "this sounds like scum trying to set up a fake claim"), sure. But Ben wasn't specifically refuting your viewpoint while ignoring ctes's. It looked to me like Ben was wrapped up in his whole "You just activated my trap card, Sultan!" excitement and wanted to explain how he interpreted Sultan's reaction, irrespective of what you and ctes said.

Like, yes, ctes's grievances against Sultan's post about BCT have gone unaddressed, but Ben addressed the same post that both of you took issue with. It's not unreasonable for ctes to change his mind here imo

Perhaps "lead" wasn't the right word. What I meant was that Sultan was the only player I had somewhat of a read on.

I'm still here. Sorry, was watching a movie off THE LIST. This will happen a few more times.

Anyway, I don't have any strong inclinations at this point, though I'm leaning Sultan as town (still don't know what was actually horrible about my self-deprecating post). Ctes was putting pressure on Sultan to presumably out him as town, Lopen does make a good point that Ctes dropped questioning Sultan far too quickly, but I'll wait and see what Ctes says to that when he wakes up. I presume this is why Hangut is pointing in that direction.

He just saw me tunnel Sultan into oblivion last game. Not unreasonable to think I might attempt to do it again.

I assume he's faking content by suspecting Sultan, or faking logic to back off of Sultan

The key here is what is causing his reads to form and move around. They don't feel like someone who is thinking they feel like someone putting a show on.
