So l have my driving test to get a Japanese license on the 14th, but because my ankle is broken Ill only be given a conditional license if I pass, that says I can *only* drive with a cast. And then I have to make another appointment solely for them to remove the condition from my license (not another test, but they need to observe my hand and feet motions), and Im not allowed to drive between getting my cast off and that appointment since my license will still have the condition attached. Such a bizarre situation like why

I have a friend that moved from Japan and, for some reason, rented out his house there cheaply rather than selling it.

There is apparently no way for him to ever sell the house or raise the rent or anything now. He talks as if his kids might get money from it someday, but that he never can...because the people living there will probably never leave and he has no authority to make/ask them to leave.

Being more renter-friendly is good, but that doesn't seem correct either...
