What is Game of the Month Club Replay?
Game of the Month Replay is a community project based upon the Game of the Month Club. Much like the GOTM Club, it's open to all B8ers where users share, discover, play and/or discuss a bonus chosen game every month. The game featured each month is chosen by YOU the users (and Lady Luck).

The only catch is, it must be a game that the GOTM Club has already played, so it's an opportunity to replay games you may have missed out on the first time or just want to try again.

The Basics
- Each month will usually feature one game that was chosen via a random drawing from a pool of games that users nominated
- For beating the game, you get a cool point on our just-for-fun standings as well as a nomination for next month's randomized drawing
- In order to receive the point and nomination, you must beat said game within the calendar month
- If you beat the current month's game in the previous month, you can apply for a "recently beaten waiver," but you will only receive a point and no nomination should you do so
- Drawing for next month's game is usually on the 25th
- If you periodically keep us posted on your progress and/or talk about different aspects of the games, then everyone will think you are super awesome!

Nomination Rules
- You get one nomination automatically each month
- You receive additional nominations each month for beating the featured game
- Each game you nominate has to be one that was already nominated for the GOTM Club.
- You can nominate games that have already been selected for the Replay Topic, but not the same game twice in a row.
- Each game must be a standalone game that can be acquired and played on its own (aka cannot be DLC/expansion that requires the base game)
- Nominations only carry over if you beat a featured game after the drawing for next month's game but before the end of the month

The Last of Us

Planning on starting Portal tomorrow. Looking forward to replaying it

Id be interested in replaying Portal, but I only own it on 360 and its not very convenient for me to obtain and set that up at the moment.

I'm undecided on replaying Portal myself.

I'm finally installing Portal, will play it over the week.

I have it installed, and keep meaning to start it... But haven't. Definitely will before the end of the month though.

Started Portal today, using the Steam Deck. It's kinda neat. There is Gyro controls that work with the Steam Deck; however, they only work when you have your thumb on the right control stick.

Well there we go, I beat Portal this time, yay.

Looking to go through Portal next week, been a busy gaming month for me.

I'll also hold off on nominating since I really don't want my game to be chosen twice in a row lol. If someone wants to suggest a game I can throw my nomination on that.

I just recently finished my Portal replay. I got into it to a much greater extent this time, also allowing me to more fully appreciate aspects like its much-discussed characterization and game design. For that, I'm sure GLaD (ahem) this topic encouraged me to return to the well, even if it's not quite a newfound favorite of mine.

I'll nominate Super Mario 64 and hold off on my second for now.

I'll go ahead and say Bastion, since I've been wanting to replay that one as well

I'm planning to pull the game on the 25th.

I'll nominate Alan Wake again although I'm considering adding those supports back in since Bastion also sounds interesting.

I should have Portal beat by then!

It's going to sound dumb, but I honestly attribute Bastion for getting me into playing Single Player games. Before that I almost never would beat them and stuck mainly to online stuff. Now it's basically the opposite where I rarely touch online games for more than a few weeks.

Portal beated!

Just an absolute classic. I love the framing and the twist. Plus it's short and sweet, as a one sitting game.

I'll nominate Portal 2, just because now I want to play that one again too.

I did Beat Portal last night at like 11ish?

Was a great time as always. And figured out how to tweak the Gyro settings on the Deck so they only toggled when I touched the mouse pad.

Ill be playing Portal on Wednesday. Good excuse to play through it again!

Still a classic, although 2 definitely surpasses it. It is a great game to knock out in one sitting though.

Maybe. I also had others to maybe play the co-op mode with but I doubt that would be next month. But this would get me to play something Portal 2 related next month.

Suprak has beaten Portal.

Not as good as 2, but better for replays because I can do it in an afternoon haha. Humor feels a bit dated now, but Id say it definitely holds up.

Dunno if Ill replay Portal 2 next month since thats a bit more of a time commitment.

Ha, just replayed Portal 1+2!

HaRRicH has beaten Portal.

I'll replay it again with the RTX update. For now, it's still a great game and Portal 1+2 are arguably the greatest 1-2-combo of games in a series for the industry -- especially to be the first two games in a new series.

Energy balls got too random sometimes, but I do like the sandbox-feel the original has too.
