I think this is the most hours I've put into a game this quickly.

I'm in the last dungeon at 110 hours and am both and am stunned by both how much it doesn't feel like that long and how accurate that time frame was from the reviews.

Absolutely stupendous, obviously there are some problems mechanically and a weak point here and there like literally anything that touches Colony 0, but overall I'd say it'd superior to the first two games on every front and it's not even kind of close.

Eunie is the best Xenoblade character easy. I could listen this girl ramble for days.

I also feel unbridled rage towards that's photograph.

also just noticing now, but is spike damage gone from this game?

I always felt the introduction of spike damage in Makna forest in XB1 was a stopping point for a lot of people because of how much harder certain battles would become if you didn't understand how it worked

Chapter 4

Maktha I get it Makna and Morytha

Lmao, the Niranira quest. Level 48? Easy. Oh okay, this island has level 60s, that's okay, i can maneuver around them. Oh god they pop out of the sand everywhere, okay I can outrun them. Oh god it dropped me into a pit surrounded by spiders.

Luckily I was leveled enough to kill the spiders, but the first time I tried to run from them too, but it looked like the only way to outrun them was to jump off a cliff, which means you can't get back to Niranira without dropping down the hole again and re-aggroing the spiders. Is it even possible to talk to Niranira without fighting the nearby spiders?

Mega last battle spoilers.

This game did the thing I have desperately wanted in every RPG that has a cast bigger than the party size, a full ALL THE WARRIORS moment, everyone comes in. It didn't go ALLLLL the way, which in my mind is fuck the party size limit they're all going to be on screen at the same time, but it's still nice to see.

Soulhacker: wew I've hacked all souls lvl50 and lower thas a lotta work but I'mma stop here to go back to stories I've paused on for a while. Also god damn upgrades that take 10-15 kills of the unique monster, especially in the later levelsss

The ranching ones should be permanent. I think you can disable question marks from showing tho

Chap 5 beated, and Chap 6 scenes continued through til I'm in control to save again

Shania is the biggest bitchqueen of 'em all. Also I think I got my first hit of tears in the jail cell for "My Noah" because I'm a sappy bitch.

A lot of conflicting feelings along the way but overall a great story dump. Right from the start of the game obviously you know Mio's remaining time is gonna culminate to something like this and you know of course she's gonna stay alive and with the party so it was all a big question of how - and being honest til now I doubted they'd pull it off well... but I was wrong aww yeah I have been blessed with long-haired Mio, although I should've clued in the second M was introduced because the Lead Girl always gets a new badass form by the end of these games.

Finally got the other tanks! Lone Exile seems really cool but also maybe a bit too squishy? Need to play around with accessories and gems to see if I can hit a happy spot. Lost Vanguard is straight up REYN TIME and I'm very glad there's a class like this even if it's coming so late.

I love that they added gulkins and meringas.

Also lol that random tombstone quest.

Ch. 5 sidequests: Triton rules

I guess I've committed myself to mapping out the Cadensia region manually. I've done the boundary and just about fully explored every bit of land it touches, plus the sandy island. Just didn't get the whole level 95 tunnel area. The audacity of there being semi-large water areas the boat can't get to. The superboss with absurdly good eyesight killed me three times while I was trying to swim the Aegis Sea. Sure would've been appreciated if Mu had faster swimming unlocked in the first three tiers. I also wish the boat controls were a little less wonky.

After checking the colonies for some quests I started the Chapter 5 main story and just arrived at the City. I did stop there though because I sensed I was gonna have a lot of lore dumped on me. Should hopefully continue where I left off soon.

Wow, Chapter 6 main story was surprisingly short after the beginning parts. Especially gameplay-wise. Feels like you could finish the chapter pretty quick if you mainlined it.

I feel like that's the case for the game overall

Chapter 6, excluding the opening cutscenes, is probably the weakest part of the game.

It's not like it's particularly bad, but it's short and the actual content feels rushed in a way that I really feel like it was more elaborate at one point and got cut down a lot.

I dunno if I agree that it feels cut down. What's there is flushed out, it's just the number of things is limited. Besides, the optional content is way better than the main story in this game.

You can get rid of the question mark by doing the breeding that's mentioned when you get it and getting the special ardun.

Is there a reason everyone in the city is an ordinary human? You'd think there'd be people with cat ears/wings on head/mechons there too.

Can anyone tell me exactly what "counts" as time passing as far as buffs/debuffs are concerned during a chain attack? Not sure it completely matters since it seems like No Love Lost and/or Overfall will always fall off during an Ouroboros Order even if you apply it RIGHT before it starts, but it drives me up the wall to see all that potential damage not being hit. D:

Pretty sure it just passes during attacks. You can see with Blaze ticks and such.

For Colony 15, they all take place in the City.
First you need to do a side quest that triggers there if you bring Triton with you, then it kicks off the Colony's arc.
That's also how you get a certain UM to spawn at the Ferronis.
