I cleared out 15 to 5 stars thanks to the early info, but still gutting a wall with Mu, Agnus Castle, and Colony 9.

Guess I just have to wait for a guide!

Getting 491 TP from Segiri in a chain attack is extremely delightful

I assume she has the highest TP potential by far.

I've been wondering if perhaps there isn't enough quests/collectapedias to naturally fulfill some colonies.
There were a few of them that I had to do a significant number of repeatable requests to finish.
Like Colony 30 and Agnus Castle.

Still exploring Cadensia, but I think I'm on the last major island and I just stumbled into Jurassic Park. Also I'm pretty sure a container just vanished, and even turning the game off and on didn't get it to reappear. I'm like 99% certain I saw that the level 78 unique bird monster was guarding a container on the very tip of a cliff, but after dying a number of times in the area, it's now gone.

This is a factor but it's still blocked behind something. I've tried dumping a bunch into various collectopedia after confirming I'd done every one for said colonies after reach full bar 4 stars, and it does nothing.

Oh, OK, I misunderstood what you were saying, and the UI didn't help.

Even thiugg the bars were full I went and dumped a ridiculous amount into the cards, like 10+ for the highest value I could do for those 3 colonies, and it eventually turned over. I guess it's like a gas tank where you can fill past the F line.

So....yeah, all content complete! The only thing I'm not bothering with is leveling up the Soulhacker skills, I'm plenty satisfied just having unlocked them in the first place.

I definitely agree that the gauge was really not a good indicator.
I only figured that out that it takes more than just filling it by sheer virtue of not having any quests left and just spamming requests without exiting the menu to check.

Was there ever anything for Stage 10 to the rebuilding of Dorrick in Colony 30? Or is the painting just something that happens in dialogue after?

also as much as I stan Eunie's personality, Sena definitely provides more heartfelt moments I'm loving as well as her submissive stupidity. ("That sounds... good? I think?")

Sena easily right up there with Eunie as my fav 2 party mems

I don't know exactly where you left off, buy the final stage of this quest as far as I am aware is Alexandria's Nopon betrays everyone and reprogram it so you have to fight it, and it explodes. It's played as a "what matters was the journey" ending but it wasted so much of my time I was pissed lol.

113 hours in and I'm finally progressing the Ch. 5 plot. I still have a few things left to do (fully exploring some of the high level areas/mapping about 20% of the sea and reclearing most of the level 40+ NMs) but I guess it's time to move on.

I know we're on an urgent rescue mission and I just spent 20-30 hours doing sidequests, but hold on guys we need to fully map out this new ocean section in our mile-turning radius boat!

I'm also just laughing imagining the group dropping into a prison full of generic looking characters in dull clothing wearing bright colors (including the Soulhacker garb) and imagining they can just blend in. Apparently Ghondor is Monica's daughter, which is less than ideal given their ages!

I mean yeah but it's definitely one of the creepier cliches that serves nothing and could be completely avoided. I'm typically good at ignoring creepy shit but when you start assigning exact numbers to things oh god please just avoid creepy shit if you're not gonna broach the topic and you could just as easily leave it out by moving a couple numbers one way or another that doesn't even matter. It was side-eying enough grasping the concept of Terms vs Years (and then getting Alexandria)

now i dread finding out the father fits another anime cliche of being in his 60s or like an immortal ageless being who's lived thousands of years aka the Twilight route

You're talking like teen pregnancy isn't a thing in real life. Honestly, it's way less common in fiction than it is in reality.

If you're curious, Terms are confirmed to be equivalent to years + 10 later on (not by the main story, oddly enough).

It kind of annoys me that all the Colony 15 people apparently spread throughout the world, because now I feel compelled to look up where they went so I can talk to them all and figure out if there's quests to do. Did they just visit other colonies or are they literally anywhere? The affinity chart shows the people I already met are likely to be around Mu or City, I guess.

...as if I'm not already going back around the world to beat up all the UMs (and looking up where the ones I passed over originally that I can now beat up for the first time).

wew what an absolutely missed plot opportunity with Nia getting "killed" followed up by Joran's Sacrifice the way it was. Like hello game did you forget Joran's a healer? Would've tied these two pieces together perfectly to use a Phoenix-esque sacrificial revival. Who even cares about D.

... I guess I can't really judge too much until finishing the story but this feels like a very disappointing telling of the merging of worlds that doesn't make any sense?

It's not that they're not a thing, but that they are absolutely riddled with problems and in many cases abuse, pedophilia (again, not helping that at this point late in the game I don't even know who the dad is), and forcing children the traumatic experience of carrying to term. If it's gonna be introduced I'd rather have it addressed in an actual storyline that can tangle with the issues rather than just thrown in there for no reason causing nothing but side-eye bait - especially in anime-adjacent media that's long since lost its privilege to fuck around with minors. XB3 absolutely highlights childbirth as some magical joyous accomplishment in life so then it's bizarre to just stumble on this shit under the rug.

Terms conversion though yeah I actually did figure the same age ranges pretty early in although as you say not confirmed in-game but outside, Term 1ers obviously not being newborn babies, and well just figuring it's rather easy to bump their starting biological age up to avoid creepiness... y'know, like Monica/Ghondor could've done and I assumed were before checking.

The specifics of Term ages is brought up in a veeeeeeery late game sidequests, so it does show up in game eventually.

Chapter 5
I love the way the scenes with them learning about babies and relationships went. It was so well done. Taion freaking out about letting the baby hold his finger got me lol

definitely loved the baby introduction, party reactions were priceless

So I definitely like Lost Vanguard on Eunie enough to keep it on her (she's also got the badonkadonk) but it definitely doesn't fit Incursor class enough though it's my favorite to play as.

Finished Ch. 5/beginning of Ch. 6:

Looks like N's motives were pretty much what I assumed. Didn't see the switch coming, though! I might have missed something, but I don't get why N had to slaughter the City to make M a moebius but he got to become one himself for "free." Did Z kill another settlement to get the necessary lifeforce or something? Or was it not actually needed and Z was just making him prove his loyalty? I'm also not clear on why Noah/Mio exist separate from M and N. Regarding other identities I'm guessing I know roughly who Z is. I wracked my brain for a while about who M and N's kid could be and came up empty; could be someone we haven't met, though. They implied his name was important so I'm sure it'll come up again.

Unlike N whose motives make sense, Shania is just a fucking lunatic. Sorry, but I'm gonna need a few steps between "I was bullied by my friend and felt like a loser" and "I'm going to have everyone I've ever known murdered"!

Went with long hair for Mio, of course; I could never repeat Akira Toriyama's sin with Videl! (Not that short hair Mio is bad, but long is better).

Also regarding XB2 references: I was just refreshing myself on the plot and apparently I completely forgot that Vandham was a character in that game. That would have been nice to have remembered earlier...!

This was my understanding. It's a shame they didn't show the story from the statues about N being defeated by one of the Founders of the new City there, assuming that's actually true. I dunno if I'm in the minority, but I didn't really care for any of the stuff with N.

Demonstration of loyalty was my understanding, not that it was actually a requirement. N was transformed to give him a taste, and then M was to twist him to evil.

Never played X (though I own it). Looks like the one in XB1's name was translated as Vangarre? Not that I remember him either. I can never remember the finer details of RPGs I played years ago except for the ones I replayed several times; not sure how other people do...!

I first played XB when it was only released in Japanese so yeah I remember meeting him and thinking lol his name is vandham

Actually yeah I guess he looks a little familiar (but I wouldnt have even have had a guess if you had asked me to name him). I did vaguely remember that XB2 Vandhams character existed, but not his name or that he looked just like a younger version of XB3s (just that he was a big beefy guy).

Man I'm irritated that the party is so much nicer to N than I.

Also the final dungeon is kinda boring. Like it's not bad, there just isn't really anything going on and it's crazy linear. Big downgrade from the rest of the game's areas.

What was the final dungeon of XB1 again?

I rememeber the Machine Factory was near the end and that was absolutely horrendous. It's when I turned the game to easy because I couldn't care anymore lol.

Right now I'm focusing on ascension Quests right now but I'm trying to decide if I want to move the plot along or not. I might try to clear out as much as I can if I know the city is going to be destroyed.

Ah. Well in that case the answer to your question is no

It's cleared up pretty fast but if you haven't actually reached that reveal yet and just want a very simple answer to "do i have to worry about proceeding" without further explanation that answer is no

if that answer's not enough and you want to specifically get the answer to "is The City lost/destroyed and I won't be able to return" that answer is also no

Okay just wanted to avoid an XB1 style point of no return.

Game finished. That final sequence had a lot of weak scenes, and the final boss wasn't good gameplay or character-wise, but there were a couple good scenes in there I guess. Including one moment that made me laugh harder than anything else in a Xeno game, I think. Wish they'd compacted it all down a bit.

Onto the post-game stuff now, which is much better after just a few minutes. <3
