and who knows how much practice went into figuring out all the camera and expression details. One of those things that were properly worked on to make them likeable. There's a more human factor to it. Most other groups, you'll find some kind of lack of diversity and some have emphasis on fixated eye contact (IVE being a current example).

G-IDLE tends to just always look cold imo. Them, and other groups have some kind of unoriginal direction of trying to look attractive, with their own attempts at edgy concepts. Unfortunately I kinda put Aespa in that pool too. Then there's groups like Everglow and Loona where I noticed some very forced timing on frequent winks.

I'm not saying that's all groups that come up short, but I feel like it's a lot. It makes them look dated and systematic. Sometimes it's not the entire group, but certain members. Unfortunately I'm gonna have to say Jisoo is an example. For someone who stepped into acting, she can look dead on some stages and MV's

Huh, so LOONA's company just kicked out their most popular member (by far) and the only member any regular person in Korea could even recognize, and then accused her of being abusive towards staff as justification, thats certainly a play.

Just so happens its the same member who has sued the company over not getting paid for all her solo work and recently started her own agency to manage her own solo work.

The claims against her seem unlikely unless that was her way of being able to force out of her contract. The business side of the industry is always cloudy when it comes to splits.

Some people look at this like she got wronged, but it could be she was already wronged when she was still being kept.

I like this more than her previous comebacks. Credit to how well she's stayed in the game and stays young.

Agree with some possible exceptions it's my favorite in recent years. Maybe working with her hoobaes made her realize who she is, like oh okay look at this then.

I didn't think it was bad. With Itzy they offer enough variety to like and not like as much, but not necessarily dislike. I liked Not Shy but then was whatever about In the Morning that I believe came right after. Actually a lot of the slower tempo songs seem whatever imo, because it's we know they have a lot of dynamic range and volume on tap, and they don't use it for such songs.

Sneakers was in a lukewarm area for me.

I think the visual and lyrical concept didn't seem compelling. A bit redundant to their early concepts. I personally was anticipating some kind of marketing attempt with Adidas (I'm not sure if they still have a relationship). The general promotions for Checkmate and Guess Who were a bit silly for my tastes.

Where in contrast they now show up with Cheshire debuting at MAMA. Performed that like pros. Wouldn't say they had any real strong tracks this year, but they're still one of the better groups to execute on a live stage. Although one nitpick is Yeji's(?) high note on Chesire only exists as a backtrack vocal and not done live. C'mon this is Itzy not Twice. No place for fake singing.

In all fairness, the Hydra album was seemingly very, very balanced in distribution. Seeing how they played off a diversity of genres, I'd expect there will be every version of her to showcase.

With some surprise reactions that other labels supposedly passed on her, I think it's a very common thing. There's a lot of talent that I'd imagine a production team sees just doesn't fit with the current plan they've got, or they don't know what to do with it.
