I think this is the best Itto I'm going to get without a crit weapon but lol that ratio. I'm also using geo traveler comp who gives +10% crit rate so it's even dumber.

This is my other option, 200 more DEF but I think the ratio is slightly worse. I got TONS of crit substat rolls they just all went into damage.

Have you tested to see which one is better?

Id prob still go for the 2nd one.

Well I'm not sure how to do a good comparison in-game but I tried plugging the numbers into a damage calc and it was extremely close in terms of DPS but the 2nd one has beefier charge attacks which might be better. Also realized if I get a crit% buff from abyss I'm probably wasting it on the first set, so maybe 2nd is the play.

Oh man I got 6 stars on Floor 12 for the first time! Couldnt kill everything fast enough for 9 using these two teams

First team could definitely have better synergy, but I usually bring Noelle for her shield and heals/backup heals if I need it. Feels good to finally get 6 stars on this floor for once.

My artifact capacity is maxed and the entire thing is 5*. I just dont know what to dispose of and it feels daunting going through like 1k or whatever artifacts

I had that experience like 6 weeks ago, and my solution was to unlock every artifact. Then lock the ones I had leveled that were actually good so that I could filter away the crap I leveled at AR45 that was still floating around on no one. And then lock any pieces that actually showed promise...and I had to define what promise was, which in most cases meant no more than one of HP, HP%, Def, Def%, or ATK. Also, anything with a valuable main stat/set combo like EM VV on goblet or circlet.

And in the course of that, I found a few viable pieces worth leveling. That dropped my total to ~1200, and I've been rebuilding a bit since. I discovered today I'm not as close to 1500 again as I thought. However, the plan is to go gung ho with the strongbox in a few weeks, so hopefully I'll be there by then, 8 new artifacts per day.

I definitely need to just dump whatever is flat def/flat hp loaded at least since those are virtually worthless altogether.

The new event is pretty fun dialogue wise. Not sure why Fischls eye color is different for her event costume though. Maybe a reference to another character from a Hoyoverse game?

I saw people saying it's probably because she uses colored contacts since she's basically a cosplayer

Also I think this is the first time I have ever seen Fischl show up in an actual quest line

She had an event before way back, but otherwise yeah this is basically the first time shes had something new. Wonder if it was because Ozs Chinese VA got into trouble or if they just neglected Fischl the way theyve ignored others never having any quests

Does the Mondstadt treasure compass work in the Golden Island Archipelago? It's the only one I don't have

None of the treasure compasses work there. Going to have to just roam every inch of the area

I got 5 copies of Heizhou without a 5* pull, so I'm gonna put that progress on pity toward the next 5* I really want.

I'm still deciding if I want to pull for Heizhou. I don't really have another anemo besides Sucrose (wind traveler isn't real) but also not sure if I actually need one. He is pretty cool as a punchy "catalyst" user, that is a neat design.

Speaking of which, which one of my characters should I focus on next?

Up to you mostly. Youve got Itto and Gorou so you could build up Noelle & Yunjin. Noelle at C6 is insane, but if shes not at high C it might not be as worth it. Some characters need Cs to really shine so it depends what theyre all at

I did consider Yun Jin for Itto team but unfortunately her ability only buffs normal attacks and not charge attacks which is not good. And Noelle is low cons and produces no energy so it's not ideal either.

My cons situation is something like...Sara is C2, Thoma is C2, Fischl will be C2 from the event, everyone else is C1 or 0. Except for Barbara who is maxed out, probably C8 or some shit lol.

Well one thing even at C6 Thoma and Xinyan arent worth investing in so you can forget about them

I'm also questioning if it's really worth pulling for Heizou. I got Kazuha quickly and don't intend to pull for Klee, so that's just pulls chasing after a four-star with Sumeru coming. I imagine I'm safe for a few ten-pulls, but those are pulls that I'm not getting, say, Collei.

I always say wait til you have a good weapon on a character first. I didnt build my Diluc until I got a good Claymore, for example. If you have a good catalyst for Mona, I say build her. Shes fun.

I do have a R4 Widsith gathering dust (Yanfei has a Skyward Atlas) and a lack of real claymore options besides the fish. Used all my bilets on Itto as well. I guess I'll give Mona a shot.

Widsith is good on Mona I believe. So uh for the event can you manually adjust the water levels once you clear the story or whatever? I didnt immediately collect everything and I think I have a shell stuck underwater at the moment

Apparently you can. I dont know how many possible combinations of changes you can do, but hopefully its just 3-4 or its gonna be tedious roaming the entire set of islands looking for new stuff.

Got up to 27 stars in the latest Abyss so far. 9*d 9-11 on the first try even which is a first for me. Will have to try floor 12 later, but looks like the big sand worm is there.

I just got done doing Xinyans Blazin Trails and after you open up her little challenges you can adjust the mountain levels of the music islands. And a conch pops up on my radar but I cant get to it even after changing the landscape. It looks to be underground?

I feel like the elevation thing is just complicated, but maybe its just me? Does the one for the first part of the event only impact 1 island? I just assumed it was the entire region

Ah I think I figured it out. If you go into The Islands Stirring Strings, you can go back into Blazin Trails and it tells you how many undiscovered chests and conches are there.

Seems Ive missed a few chests in Kazuhas realm.

Those just count the ones inside the event domain dont they?

I cheated and looked it up. The conch I'm stuck on is underground.

Sweet. That conch was enough for me to unlock Fischl's costume.

alright are they done slowly adding the chests? is it safe to explore the new map like a normal person now?

(still probably gonna end up using a guide to find everything lol)

Change the islands so the right farthest island cave is lower (make sure the drum is to your back).

I feel dumb since I thought it had more than 2 variations. Working on the Pudding Isle stuff I missed and then I still have all the other islands since I kept falling behind

Yeah Im still exploring Pudding Isle as well. Cant seem to figure out the order to hit those elemental type things, or where to find a hint for the order.

Anyone manage to find all the chests in the Phantasmal Tales?

Having a hard time finding undiscovered chests in Kazuha and Xinyans. Missing a total of 4 chests I really hate backtracking in this event.

The last one I missed in Kazuhas was just before the end when you go up all the stairs. Theres a chest hidden behind a breakable decoration towards the top/middle. Just use the elemental sight

Xinyan theres a lot of doors you can find so its likely behind one of them somewhere. I missed like 16 the first time I went through it lol

Holy shit, I hate these Night Raven sight puzzles.

They are tricky yeah. I wonder if theyre easier on mobile or something

Same. I got to the island of raven statues. Taking my time. Not sure if I want to struggle looking for missing chests in each characters domains. Kazuha's is really bad with the flipping of the room mechanic. I've searched seemingly everywhere but can't find two chests.

I havent found it difficult to find the chests, but Im also slow so Im always wandering to every corner of the domains looking for stuff

Also Ive been grinding the domain that has Pale Flame and whatever the other one is for Kuki for probably 2 weeks now and its been all garbage artifacts sadly. Not even one right main stat for anything. I cant stand this part of the game

Uh-oh. I haven't even started. Sounds like this is gonna be another long one and I better get going.

I just havent had as much time to put towards it this week really. The event does feel kinda lengthy though in story and just for stuff to find. One island has chests you can get, but theyre scripted behind dialogue you cant skip or speed up so people hate them lol
