Time to pity Summer Saren!

And 300 pulls....

Think I'm definitely done with the game now. Will see how I feel in the morning bit pretty sure I know what my thought will be then as well.

I got Summer Saren in only 50 pulls, lucky me! Also, for those who pull her and plan to use her, consult the gear/stars chart linked below before raising her. Apparently, it's best to keep her at 3 stars and not ascend her, and it's best to leave her at a very specific rank (rank 9 with only the top-right equipment equipped) for maximum efficiency.

Ouch. That's unfortunate. At least 300 pulls means you can get her via pity, but I don't know how many gems you have left for future banners...

I typed and posted my previous post before I saw his post. If it felt like I was rubbing it in, I assure you that's not what I was trying to do.

Lol, dont worry, didnt take it as rubbing any salt in. I've 30kish left but had to go to pity so many times and to do it this time without a single 3* just left a bitter taste.

Couple with growing annoyance at the gearing system and poor drops I feel my time is better spent not on things that dont give me much enjoyment anymore.

But as I said, I'll see in the morning how I feel.

Should I hold on to these jewels until Pri-Fest (IIRC Pri-Fest is like general boost to all 3* rate, right?) or should I give in to Summer Saren?

Also I don't really a fan of these level-scaling enemies in the event, tbh. It took forever to kill even one of the big mooks (in Normal stages) but maybe because of them being HP sponge.

How many gems and tickets do you have right now? If you have enough saved to guarantee getting her (300 pulls for the spark would cost 45k gems, minus 150 for each ticket you have) then I would say pull for Summer Saren. She won't get a re-run for another year, and she really is that good and that game-changing. However, if you don't have enough to guarantee the spark, then I would say to keep saving. Pri-Fests are more common, and you can sometimes pull multiple really good limited characters from a single Pri-Fest banner thanks to the rate-up.

Generally, you really don't want to pull in this game unless you have enough for a spark to guarantee getting the character. If you get unlucky and don't get Summer Saren, then you wasted your gems for nothing and are also less prepared for the Pri-Fest.

edit: lol just auto'd through all Normal and Hard stages of the event. The enemies are still sponges, though.

Sirius is nearly identical to Cidd from E7, except she has a buff extender while Cidd had extra turn on kill with S3. Most likely she's pretty damn strong with a longevity, as Cidd was for me.

I really wish there were more characters in this game. They should've had less 3*s and more variety of 5*s on release. It's kinda sus that a lot of the strong 5*s right now are just copies of 4*s in E7, instead of being copies of 5*s.

Cuz you could've had some pretty good kits that was sadly released too late. Luluca on release is one of them, and I thought about her cuz I could really use a teamwide def buff right about now. I can't seem to find a non 5* that provides a steady def buff. The hunt bosses hit way too hard

If you want to dominate in arena, SSaren is the way to go.

Haven't played this in years and this is all off the top of my head, but IIRC it's because at a certain rank/level/gear/etc for certain modes they take the perfect amount of damage/charge their special/fit with a team/whatever it is and if you go over that you "ruin" the character/strategy because you can't go backwards.

Higher rank = greater TP cost

SSaren is a battery, not a DPS. You want her skills up ASAP so the rest of the team can dominate.

And Priconne is not one of those "games like this". The ranking system is notoriously backwards, which is why they implemented that whole "revert rank" system a few years later in JP.

And yeah, as other people discussed, PriConne's rank system is weird. Some characters actually get worse by going up to the next rank due to losing a certain piece of equipment from a lower rank (usually one whose stat buff involves TP gain) that makes them better. There's a whole document on what the optimal rank for each character is that gets updated every time the maximum rank increases.

As for stars though... the vast majority of characters are best at the maximum of 5 stars because the stat boosts from ascending increase their damage output enough to outweigh the TP gain situation. Only a few specific support-focused characters are better off left at 3 stars, with Summer Saren being the most important one for the foreseeable future.

While this is irrelevant to pulling for S!Saren at this point, I just want to point out that Noir Io isn't for another 2 years and some months on global. You're going to be waiting for a very long time if you go without pulling until then.

Supply -> Badge Exchange -> Armament Application -> Purchase Armament Analyzer (Daily limit of 1 for F2P) -> Purchase character Armament Application

Then AG -> Character -> Level up to Tech 5 -> Gear -> Bottom Right

Dropped Priconne - having to pity for far too many units I actively went for and the constant abysmal drop rate for gear left me realising I don't actually enjoy the game and so byebye it goes. I get rng is rng but still. Just makes for a bleh experience sadly. Feel free to kick or keep me in the clan (witchalor, or some variation) as a fair few of my supports were used in CB last one. Also dropped the other side ones I had - Counterside most notably.

Nothing bad about Counterside, but it ultimately wasn't one that grabbed me and want to keep what gacha's I have to a minimum anyway.

So now just playing Arknights and Destiny Child

Can I ask what Rejection is in that Mutated Zone or whatever? And how the fuck Im supposed to beat that sniper chick who stalls for-fucking-ever <_<

its so annoyingIm trying to use Suriel with status effect accuracy up because getting 4 burns on her seems to be the only way to get significant damage, but then nope, shell just heal back a bigass chunk of health again. I fucking HATE enemies like this

Ok, I'm pretty convinced as to what the balancing in the pvp of Counterside is gonna look like in the future, and I gotta say, I'm really disappointed. Right now, if you haven't specifically built to counter A. Mina, you simply lose, just like in the last season, if you haven't built to counter A. Hilde, you lose.

But... my team has a few anti-defender tools that weren't easy to immediately make due to the randomness of the gear system. But now they're useless because Hildes are basically gone in favor of Mina. It almost feels like the PVP will just be countering the next big Awoken units. You can't just sit on a few strong units cuz they'll be quickly phased out

For the time being, I'm probably never touching that sorta PVP system. It's pretty clearly predatory, and it's not the first time I've seen this shit from Korea, cough E7. Though E7 I heard had so much complaint that they sat on the same meta for like half a year with units that you can only pull via Galaxy summoning, which is hard to do consistently for most F2Ps, which basically phased out PVP viability from most newcomers. I hate when games do this, so fuck it

Are you familiar with Battle Cats? The gameplay is like that but with waifus instead of cats. One of those games where you have a home base and you send out units to attack your opponent's base. You have a gauge that gradually fills up and units cost a certain amount of points. But unlike Battle Cats, there's a whole lot of stuff to do outside just the regular story, and you can customize your characters with gear.

Unfortunately you missed the best time to get Rosaria since she was on the first rate up banner, but you could always reroll for her.

Yeah, basically it's just choosing which characters to drop where and when, and if you really want to micromanage, when to use their ultimates. Generally just manually summoning characters is good enough.

I know bans exist, but I'm pretty sure she can still wreck house by herself like she's doing now. Also A. Hilde will just come back to being the best, and it's impossible to counter both with flimsy equipments

I didn't figure A. Mina would be that much of a problem though since a lot of people are saying she's one of the few Awakened characters to not pull for. Still though, I should be fine because Snipers counter Strikers right? Because I have Xiao Lin ready to go :3

Also Gaeun because apparently A. Mina can still be stunned even when she has Perfect Evasion lol

Rejection is when you take too long and the game gimps your characters lol

Their prosthetics "get too damaged" (lorewise) and they have to purge them, ergo less stats or whatever.

IDK what color that sniper unit is but if you are fighting it with characters of a weak element you automatically only have a 50% chance to hit (deflect) and if they deflect you have a 0% trigger for anything extra the attack would do, such as debuffs.

I beat my head against that girl using Ginga, Roko, Alice, Morris IIRC. Just tried to stick as many dots as possible.

Yeah amazing that they made a conscious decision to copy the worst aspect of the E7 gameplay. The elemental adv/disadv has caused some massive long term headache. It's really sad cuz there are basically like 1-2 dps worth a damn per element right now, and it's not that likely for one to own all the good ones per element. I also don't really like investing in bad units but... urgh...

The Sez counterpart also just feels so much weaker, and I have a feeling it's cuz she's been given for free (Shinobu)
