So I took this Fur Hire deck into normal competitive and it cleaned house. 5 straight wins, 0 losses, one of which I was super cornered but managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Was hype as fuck.

Really loving this deck actually. Will probably stick with it until the Floowandereezes are in the game. I will probably upgrade my Shaddoll deck to a Invoked Shaddoll deck next but I may be done with new decks for now.

I made it to 11,000 points and finished all of the missions to complete the Fusion event on my main account, and I'm also at the halfway mark of 5,500 points on my side account, all using my U.A. deck. I put DPE in the deck for this event, but the majority of my wins so far have surprisingly been without him. In fact, there was one duel where I had to discard Dasher (which made summoning DPE impossible) as the cost to negate something with Perfect Ace in a pinch, and then Dasher's graveyard effect ended up winning me the duel later on.

So yeah, really fun event so far, and my U.A. sportsball chads are still going strong.

Went from Plat 1 back to Plat 2 back to Plat 1. And so it goes. But this time I really can only blame myself. There were a few game-deciding plays where I was like, "Do I press for advantage now, or wait to see if I can get them at a tighter chokepoint?"

Getting too greedy, trying to sit on Chix too long for his negate when sacrificing him early for Blackout is the better move.

But I am getting sick and tired of seeing Maxx C at this point lol. At this point I want it banned just so I can use the deck space for more interesting cards. >___>

I saw a YT comment about PSY-Frame Gamma and I got reminded that, yes, I was an idiot that tried to negate Gamma with Ash.

Only to find out shortly after that Gamma is not once per turn.

It really depends. Ashing Gamma isn't going to save you if you're reliant on a multi-piece combo. But if you just need one effect to go through, it's still a viable, if sub-optimal, option.

If someone tries to Gamma my Long's summon effect, I just need that one summon to go through. After that I can synchro into Baronne, by which point I can negate his Gamma for real if I have to.

Yeah, but the problem was I still need to go through more monster effects. >_>

I think it was when I wanted to search for REDMD when I got Ashed (before I put Boot Sector to my Red-Eyes deck to block REDMD search). Then right after, I wanted to use REDMD effect to pull back BMD out of the grave only to be Gamma'd.

That was really embarassing to the point I kept wondering if the unused card in opponent's hand is Gamma....not helping that more matches later I always saw Gamma.

Galaxy Dragon, I guess. Though it is asinine how Neo GE Tachyon Dragon had to be on a different secret pack.

Edit: actually, I haven't got my synchro fix, so maybe Resonator/Red Daemon....

...but I want to try Thundra (Toad here most likely will become a salesperson for Thundra).

I love Thundra but I would never say pull for them. Its not the cheapest deck to put together either.

I need to get back to playing but I dont have the drive right now in plat 4 hell. Im so tired of despia

So is platinum still cancer with diamond being a thing?

It was pretty bad last week, right after the new cards were released, but it has apparently started to chill the fuck out. I'm personally assuming it's because all of the Swordsoul decks that were clogging things up finally moved up to Diamond, or I've just gotten obscenely lucky the past few nights (crawled from Plat 5 to Plat 1 with DracoLich, which I can't credit Heavenly Lord for because that implies I've drawn it at all).

Pretty much all I run into are SwSo and Despia, with the occassional Drytron, Adam, and Eldlich.

I miss playing against Blue Eyes and DM back in Gold, lol.

So I had a nail biting match as Eldlich lol

Turn 1 (me): Heavenly Prison, Needle Ceiling, Skill Drain, Gozen Match and Solemn Strike. So I just set everything except Gozen and reveal Heavenly and end turn

Turn 2 (opp): They tribute a lv 8 galaxy eyes monster to special summon Galaxy Soldier and then I activate Skill Drain and also SS Heavenly and call Solemn Judgement. They somehow had their only Galaxy Cyclone in hand and destroyed it anyway. Then they use some spell card to summon XYZ Cipher X Dragon that I quickly destroyed with Solemn Striker. They then tribute both of our monsters with another spell and ss a galaxy eyes photon and hit me for 3k. Now I am left with 2500 LP only.

Turn 3: I drew Ice Dragon's Prison. So I just set both Gozen and it and end turn

Turn 4: They try to kill me but I used Ice dragon prison and banish both of his cards.

Turn 5: I drew Cursed Eldland and pay 800 LP so now down to 1700 but they ASH BLOSSOM me

Turn 6: They use Galaxy Cyclone from grave to destroy my Cursed Eldland to which I use its effect to throw Edlich... oh wait, they have ASH BLOSSOM again to negate it.

Turn 7: I somehow hard drew Conquistador so I set it and end turn

Turn 8: They use photon sanctuary to ss to token and summon a 2k monster to kill me but I use Conquistador and then needle ceiling to destroy everything

Turn 9: I draw Gozen match again so I set and end turn and then I could finally call Scarlet Sanguine with Conquis

Turn 10: They draw and only have one card in hand so they end turn. I use Sanguine but guess what they drew... ASH MOTHERFUCKING BLOSSOM. Fuck these guys who hard draw hand traps at crucial times

Turn 11: I drew Torrential Tribute and use sanguine's effect to bring Huaquero so I set the former and end turn

Turn 12: They use Galaxy Trance to ss two galaxy eyes monsters that I destroy with TT.

Turn 13: Finally got Pot of Extra and I draw IO and Black Awakening to finally summon Eldlich but then they surrender

I love and hate when a game ends up in a situation where everything now depends on each draw

edit: I just faced someone using deck out triple Necroface (and that card that makes you banish all monsters if receiving 3k DMG) strat by going second. In fusion festival.

I had a few of those yesterday, one against a Time Thief deck in ranked, and two more against a Dark Magician deck and a Timelord deck in the Fusion festival. The first two were lucky topdeck wins, and the Timelord duel came down to me having 500 LP and my opponent making a misplay at the end to give me a chance to win.

Timelords are low key frustration sometimes. If you can stop the shenanigans early it turns into a crazy grind game. Although it has helped me learn them, especially after the first two festivals. And the key thing of the Timelord (usually) goes back to the deck on the next standby. They punish people that dont read.

U.A. Penalty Box (the actual on-field effect for once) was the MVP of that game for me. It stalled the guy out until I could summon Player Manager on my turn to negate his Timelord's effects and swing for game. Thankfully he misplayed with Alpha the Master of Beasts (which I've never seen anyone use in a Timelord deck until today) and left me with 500 LP when he could have killed me if he didn't use its effect.

Feeling like making Buster Blader + Red-Eyes.

Nothing like owning 5 copies of a UR, none of which are able to be deconstructed. I now have 5 black skull dragons

So my first impression of Diamond was weird

Fought almost nothing but SwordSoul in Plat 1, then my first two duels in D5 were Raidraptors and Plunder Patrol, which I have literally never run into in all my months of playing this game. >_>

I saw a deck of Albaz with Dragonmaid...

so i opened upstart goblin soul servant and palladium

i use soul servant to put palladium at the top of my deck, then use my upstart goblin to draw him. his ability didnt go off. instantly scoop

My guess is that he missed the timing because he was drawn as part of a chain. Upstart would still be resolving when he's added to your hand, so you can't activate the "when: you can" effect

Well, also, because drawing the card isnt the last thing to happen, right? First you draw, then your opponent gains life points.

I made a Red-Eyes deck while de-ranking back to Gold 5.
The first duel I already bricked hard lmao.

Well, almost, I had a Red-Eyes Insight, but was Ashed.
Then a couple of turns later, I got a Red-Eyes Fusion, but was Ashed again lol.

Maybe 43 cards are too much.

Ah, that one. Well, I know about that 'Decide'. I missed it the first time too (during the Geargia solo mode).

Maybe I just didn't see it in my eyes back then.

I put Chimeratech Fortress Dragon in my extra deck to deal with Cyber Dragon decks in fusion event, ends up never summoned it even once, lol

Not because I didn't face any CyDra decks, but rather, because I never got an opportunity to summon it, either the opponent doesn't control any CyDra (just the evolutions or Cyberdarks), or I can win without summoning it.

Tried half-assed Dragon Link but I guess without 3x Seyfert and 3x Chaos Space (only have 1 for both) it just falls in consistency.

And the combos are too long. >_>
I'm in Gold but I still dreaded that one of the cards in opponent's hand is a Nibiru.

Rokket Dragonmaid seems to be a better option for me. Rokket Red-Eyes can hold their ground also though not as fluid (I guess).

And I just had someone surrender the moment DPE hit the board. <_<

I have a real love-hate relationship with Pot of Desires.

Love: Drawing two cards that I desperately need so I can try to make my plays.
Hate: Banishing both Fusion Destinys, both Fraktails, PSY-Frame Driver, and Destiny HERO Dasher.

I'd rather use Upstart Goblin, or even no draw cards at all, than take the risk with Pot Of Desires. I absolutely refuse to use it no matter what.

Desires always helps me more than it hurts, tbh. Usually if I'm in a position where I'm worried about a specific card getting banished, I was going to lose anyway.

Though I play Prosperity in TriBrigade because I'm less picky about card advantage. As long as my opening combo goes through Revolt keeps gas in the tank. Digging six cards deep for Fraktall/Tenki is too good >__>

Do Foolish Burial and One for One get used often in various decks?

Most of the decks I play either can't afford to risk certain important cards being banished (like Sky Strikers losing Raye/Engage) or are set up so that they would get more mileage out of different draw cards (Extravagance in Eldlich, Trade-In in Danger Kaiju, Card Of Demise in True Dracos, etc.)

Across both of my accounts, the only deck I have that might be able to benefit from Pot Of Desires would be my Crusadia Kaiju deck.

Yeah. I run Avarice in Strikers because It'll often be live by my second turn anyways, and recycling Kagari is OP >___>

My first build used Desires and it honestly wasn't too bad, but the strength of the deck comes from its versatility and any hit to its toolbox can potentially screw you over. But when all else failed I just went into Accesscode <_<

Yeah, I'd never use Desires in True Dracos, because I know 3-4 of the 8 monsters in the deck (including probably all my Dinomights), or most of my copies of Disciples or Apocalypse, would end up banished. Still, it hasn't completely fucked me over yet in Tri-Zoo - yes, including the thing I was talking about earlier, I somehow won that game - so... I can't be too annoyed by it? We'll see if that feeling lasts, though.

Why does every Fossil Dyna deck manage to open with Dyna and Moon Mirror Shield? They sell their soul to Aleister or something? >_>

Seeing both players losing LP because the oppponent killed my Red-Eyes is strangely cathartic.

But ever since I used that card, for some reason it is getting nope'd off the board often, eveb blind, or my Red-Eyes getting yeeted instead.

Yeah, I'm always impressed by my opponents apparently having ESP and being able to immediately tell which of the four cards I set face down is Revolt, no matter what order I put the cards down in, while I can't seem to hit a 50/50 on Schism/Revolt/etc if my life depended on it.

In one duel I actually had nothing left on my hand and my field, but still gets another turn, while my opponent's deck is already empty, so right after my draw phase I immediately end my turn, unlike that stupid dumb Jean lmao

I just saw the fusion requirement for Dragoon and I was like:

"Why does the mandatory requirement be Dark Magician instead of any high-level Red-Eyes??"

Even if Dragoon is unbanned in Master Duel, Red-Eyes still gain nothing. u _ u

No, DM isn't meta in the TCG with dragoon at 3.

Dragoon would be just another package that'll end up in other decks to play as a boss monster
