I'm curious, what's the rationale for not making the nom period two-weeks long? The only disadvantage I see is it would extend the schedule, but not by much. You could still instate a pause period to give people as much time as possible to go through the tracks

@Prody_Parrot There is currently a 24-hour pause period where no nominations and supports will be accepted. The pause period ends at 10pm EDT today

we were actually sorta planning going about the extension one day at a time, with observation on how long people seemed to need. it's 24h for now, but if a lot of people ask for it, feeling the need for more time to listen to more of what has been nommed, we can make the pause longer

i'm going to need more time personally but i'm not sure if i can even use the time when i'm going to be busy from later today (finally) through to idk when

and tbh half of the times i have been trying to catch up the last few days my net's been crap

I'd be cool with making it a 48h pause instead, personally. I'm currently... not quite 2/3 of the way through nominations.

I'd also actually prefer the freeze to end now rather than being extended further. That, or do another pause at the end of locks instead of extending the current one.

I'm not a fan of all these pending dates and uncertainly. I prefer to have things set in stone.

When will we know if the pause will be extended? Do I need to prepare a rush of supports for 4 hours from now or will I have more time?

we were only planning on extending it if there was like a big push from a LOT of people, but instead the consensus seems to be "mixed/hmm", so it'll open when we originally said. tonight.

(sorry for poor communication. it was probably a bad idea to even express the possibility of an extension on the freeze when we were already leaning no on it + and we should've communicated the freeze earlier/better in the first place. especially if we were going to make it even longer)
