Today, we had to feed a school with 30 pizzas. I made them all in 2 hours.

It's a pretty good feeling when you do the right thing, amazingly.

So did you just drink beer for a year?

What kinda oven do you have that can push out that many in so little time? :O

Did I say it was charitable or are you injecting a fallacy to make it seem we didn't provide a service? Yes, you are.

I made no statement of being charitable but I did have to change my entire beer schedule to make these pizzas.

Even offering your time is charitable, this post is proof. We didn't even charge for delivery.

Give yourself a pat on the back - I did the same thing for two years when I was 21 and had to roll out 40 pies in an hour with two staff, while serving the counter. So uh, cheers.

I rolled, built and cooked 15 pies in a single hour by myself, so you're slower than me.

I could make 24 pizzas in my oven at home in 2 hours, but I can only make 2 pizzas at a time, you would need to be able to make 3 pizzas at once to pull off 30 (so a bigger oven I guess).

With 12 per hour (2 at a time, 10 minutes cooking = 12 per hour), 24 isn't that hard and it's not hard to put together 2 pizzas to cook in 10 minutes (technically it would take a bit of time to actually make the first 2 pizzas so you would probably only get 22 pizzas not 24 in that time.

Now if I really wanted to go all out, I could fire up my grill, which even using indirect heat (so 450 degrees), I could fit 2 full pizzas in there. Then I could make 4 per 10 minutes (admitingly it's starting to get hard to actually put together 4 pizzas in 10 minutes, but.....I think I could do it). Then I could make almost 50 pizzas in 2 hours!!.

I mean, I could actually cook waaay more if I made individual pizzas for the kids instead of making full pizzas, but that is another story heh (because I have an air fryer etc that I could cook them in). I wouldn't be able to make em fast enough anyway.

Anyway that rocks that you made pizza for the kids, I used to do that back in the day, then I got lazy and started to just buy the 5$ favs at papa murphies as it was was less work and about the same price.

My oven, if 1 pizza following the next without any lag, can cook 25 pizzas in one hour.

But I can cook 15, rolling out the dough, building, boxing, and cooking, by myself.

If there was 2 of me, there would be a second person.

I started prepping at 9:50am and the 1st 15 pies went out the door at 10:50am., with a cold kitchen.

I failed to mention it was emergency food.

1 hour 10 minutes to bake them all.. that leaves 50 minutes to roll out the dough, prep the ingredients.. not a lot of time to proof the dough

Out of pure curiosity, I want to know the exact max # of pizzas I could make per hour. Now mind you I would have to get a bit.....inventive....to make this work.

I have at my disposal, 1 normal oven with 2 rocks, that can hold 1 pizza per rack (to get both crusts crispy you have to switch which one is on top halfway through.

1 very large bbq grill. In theory if I was REALLY motivated I could cook 3 pizzas in it, by constantly changing which pizza was over the direct flame. Mind you this would be seriously hard while actually making pizzas at the same time, but theoretically possible.

1 air fryer, extra large. I could make 1 square pizza in it, not quite the same size as the others, but still pretty large.

4 stove tops, and a bunch of pans. This would require me to use some grates that go on the bottom of them to keep the dough from getting cooked too much, but I could make it work.

1 broiler, which I would use to finish the tops of the pizzas that I cooked on the stove top.

Total # of pizzas I could in theory make per 10 minutes = 10, or basically 1 pizza per minute.

Now to actually make those pizzas fast enough, to have them ready for the next one (and while also having time to rotate the pizzas on the grill).

I need 3 pizza stones (2 for the over and 1 as a compressor for my dough). I use this to quickly squish my dough into pizza shapes. Have the sauce and ingrediants ready to be thrown on, and in theory I could also use 3 pizza stones in my grill to prevent me from needing to rotate the pizzas there.

This should let me press the pizzas toss the dough on a stone (or in a pan that is going on the stove top) and add the ingrediants well within 1 minute per pizza.

Should let me make 60 pizzas with what I have at home per hour if I really went all out. The quality would depend on the ingrediants more than anything else.
