Welcome to the most super, most marvelous, most [third MCU pun I'll think of later]-est Save My Contest of all time! 100 MCU character enter. One leaves. NO RULES. Well, except for the following rules:

THE RULES:
- You can save 2 characters per hour.
- A character needs 2 votes to be saved.
- 2 unique users need to save a character for that character to be saved.
- Ambiguous saves will not count. If you're using a nickname for a character that isn't obvious, please specify for my benefit moving forward.
- Last 1 character unsaved is eliminated.
- No alts, no rallying, no post deletion/editing (unless correcting an update), no spoiler tags.
- You may trade saves, but only for other saves within the content of this contest.
- I will try to keep an accurate update. If you want to update, make sure it's accurate.
- Only Suprak can start up new topics.
- If a post of yours causes an accidental lawyering, you will receive a temporary ban and everyone will yell at you.
- You will have exactly one hour after the final save is made to discover a lawyering or mistake. If one is not found in that time, the result will stand, even if a lawyering or mistake exists.
- I don't know if I'll run this again, but if I do I'll be following "hard boot" rules and the first twenty eliminated will not be allowed in the next contest. Just something to keep in mind for the early rounds.
- Community Rule is in effect. Deliberate rules violations will result in bans. I have the discretion to ban anyone for any reason if I think you're being a pain and if people are complaining. Be cool.

I'm not 100% positive I'm even running the contest again next year. I'm fine reworking stuff when the time comes.

BUT if I am running it again AND there wind up being boots, I at least wanted to warn people first 20 out are hard boots and next 20 are soft boots. I like the idea of opening up more space for guaranteed new people since like people have pointed out the MCU grows so much each year, but again we don't need to discuss that just now as I haven't decided on even running it again.

What are soft boots?

I don't love the idea of hard boots when characters like Mordo and Valkyrie are just beginning their story arcs. Maybe if there's a next version there can be 20 slots reserved for newcomers and 80 for everyone else, including returnees, so even Ralph Bohner can get nominated again if he's in the top 80 noms.

What are soft boots?

So basically the top 60 are guaranteed to be in the contest again and you don't need to nominate them. The next 20 would be soft boots which means they aren't automatically in, but they can get re-nominated and if they finish at the top of the nominations they're in. The last 20 are removed and cannot be renominated that year (but can in future years).

Again though, this is just a warning at the possibility. I wasn't going to commit to running it again at this point as that sort of depends on how things finish out.
