I'm down a lot on my spy 2023 leaps...so let's not talk about those.

I got some puts yesterday and today for qqq and spy though. I have no idea what Monday is going to do though. I don't feel very comfortable holding them.

It still has a ways to go lower before I load up on more. Im just riding SQQQ now for the time being.

Think I'm gonna move the cash in my crypto account over to my brokerage and start averaging into dips soon. Question is how much bleeding will I watch before getting in.

Over all my accounts Im down about 12 to 15k. Not too bad overall.

Time to do taxes. So if my capital loss is greater than my capital gain from last year, do I still need to pay any taxes from that?

As far as taxes go, is there a minimum amount of profit you have to meet before paying taxes? I remember not getting a tax form for savings accounts if the amount accrued in a year was so low that they just kinda say you don't even need to report it.

is this true for stocks too?

If you lost money overall last year you can deduct that amount from your taxes up to 3k

Can't wait to go up 2% after being down 6%!

I see a bounce tomorrow then back to red as they freak out about the fed meeting this week. Then back to green after the fed says rate hikes won't be that bad this year.

Bottom will be 30 minutes before the meeting when everyone thinks the world is ending.

The thing is, where are you going with your cash? Inflation is like 7%, real estate is at its peak, I guess bonds will give you a couple percent. Crypto is dumping. Gold?

Total bloodbath. I had about 8k in my portfolio, portfolio dropped to 5700....

I sold most of my portfolio. Not willing to ride out this free fall any longer.

Kept about 2200 still in stocks. TBH, I'm tempted to sell off that as well.

Thank God I didn't take my father's advice and throw my life savings into stocks back in October.

yeah i'm not like seeing my portfolio down over 5% in one day...but if i was going to sell, last week would be better, and week before that better, and week before that even better. basically, it's too late to sell to close positions so might as well ride and die
