how do yall manage your losing positions? i've got a handful where i am down 40 to 70% and idk if i should just kick em out or hold onto them and pray for a miracle. it's an IRA, so selling at losses won't really help protect my gains

Okay, admittedly I found this funny.

I'm assuming NFTs are bad? Was browsing YT and saw a video of Kevin from shark tank promoting them as the future of 2022. So I'm kinda learning what is it from all types of sources right now as I'm admittedly clueless what it even is.

Anyways, I guess the simplest way would be like this: Let's say you have an original painting; you are the painting's owner. People can take pictures of the painting or try to forge a copy but only you can show and prove that you own the painting.

NFTs are like the digital version of this. I won't go into detail about the blockchain tech behind it but when you have an NFT it's basically proof that you own whatever it is the NFT is attached to. And the NFT can be basically anything digital, like an image, video, etc. This allows digital objects to be bought, owned and sold to other people like real life objects.

As for why many say it's bad, the main reasons I've heard is that 1) many companies are currently brainstorming ways to use the tech to squeeze even more money out of consumers, and 2) people are concerned with the environmental impact of bitcoin mining such as all the electricity and computing hardware required for it.

What are your guys opinion on BNTX and NVDA?

@sparky2658 admittedly I havent found much overlap between any of these ETFs (using https://www.etfrc.com/funds/overlap.php).

Are you investing long term or short term? Try researching different sectors and get an idea of how you think each will perform. This ETF list seems to cover a wide variety of industries and thus youre exposing yourself to the risk and gains from most sectors, rather than focusing on the winning sectors. Its like hedging your bet.

Thats why I asked what OPs strategy is. I think its a good idea to hedge for now since there is some uncertainty in the market. But if OP wants to maximize gains, then theyll need to reallocate and focus on a few sectors that will do well in 2022. Since most people dont beat the market, VTI should be the core of the portfolio.

Im not a stock professional though. If anyone else wants to critique OPs portfolio.

Would like to maximize gains, but at the same time looking to get in on a few 5 year term winners? Don't know if that makes any sense though.

I definitely want to make some good money 2022. So to give a more straightforward answer, I'd like to focus my portfolio towards that end.

One more thing: there's also the issue of content availability being threatened by the new ownership system. I heard a story about a popular Youtube video where someone bought an NFT of said video, then got the video copyright-striked and removed since they 'owned' the video now.

Seeing ENZC get a bump from positive catalysts (new product on market, hiring company to fast track new ones) makes me feel a little better about its prospects.

Many stock forecasts placed at $50 in ten years! Cotropia put the company's earning (before taxes) at 14 billion in 11 years if Clone 3 fast tracked.

Yeah tbh anything over $5 within the next several years at the current share structure seems unlikely at this point

Not counting random spikes on really good news pumps where it could shoot up to like $10 for an hour before settling down and closing at like $4

if it touches $1.50 Im out. Accrued a shit load of debt over the past year due to medical stuff, $1.50 gives me enough after taxes to be debt free, rebuild my savings account, and as a bonus, pay off my parents debts so they can finally retire.
