Outrage after a video has surfaced yesterday of former US Army Captain and now Anti-war activist, Brittany Ramos DeBarros STRIPPING in her uniform at a 2019 anti-war burlesque show in Brooklyn!!

The Staten Island Native is running as a Democratic Socialist against incumbent New York Rep. Nicole Malliotakis as the video showed her dancing to Edwin Starr's protest song "War" at Starr Bar

The retired captain and afghan war vetern began her routine in camo before removing it show nothing but red lingerie and pasties

A veteran democratic strategist Hank Sheinkopf said this video might not go well in the district as it's very pro-military and law enforcement and the video mocks the armed forces

He said "In an era when democrats are seen as disorderly and out of control, all this does is make it more difficult to elect democrats. In Staten Island where you have a disproportionate number of police, corrections officers and other law enforcement personnel who have served in the armed forces, this burlesque making fun of the armed forces will not go over well"

She was deployed back in 2012 and then became a vocal critic of the conflict and said at the time of this burlesque show that she was nearly court martialed for posting facts on the war

She also said hse was called a traitor for calling the military out when officials knowingly lied about the war

DeBarros said "I was a captain in the army. i was deployed in afghanistan. I was like, this is bulls***" before committing to anti-war, anti-imperalist, anti-racist work upon her return and leaving the armed forces

The afro-latina native raised more than 350,000 since announcing her candidacy though much came from out of ny state. It will give her a leg up against the former democrat who represented the district but lost to Malliotakis, Max Rose, a decorated first lt and military veteran.

DeBarros is hoping to follow in the paths of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Jamaal Bowman who both won upsets in their districts

It's pretty wild seeing people on the far left acting out and pretending their views are mainstream, it's like they've never gone out and talked to normal people before.

How did she disrespect the military, exactly? By speaking out against a war they shouldn't have been in/were long overdue to withdraw from?

Seems very respectful to me that she would want less soldiers to die needlessly. Served her country and continues to fight for soldiers after leaving the military... What a patriot!

Yes it does. She literally went to war. She knows what happens out there. I'm willing to bet most of the people criticizing her have never been to war. They don't have a right to an opinion on the matter.

They don't have the right to call her a traitor and un-American. Just cause she experienced war and decided she hates it

What is it with American Politicians and thinking videos of artistic expressions can ruin their rivals' careers?

Just reminds me of the AOC dance video and the weird outrage surrounding it.
