Whew, that was pretty intense. I think we may have heard a tornado. I've always heard it sounds like a train and both me and my wife thought we heard that in the middle of the storm.

But either way, we are safe although we've been without power for two hours now.

Tornados aren't something I've ever had to deal with, thankfully. They've always struck me as one of the more terrifying weather events.

Still no power in our house.

Looking at the news, it sounds like the tornado came within half a mile of our neighborhood.

My wife went out to assess the damage, and she saw some pretty bad stuff just within a mile of our house.

It was also a reminder never to own a trampoline if you live in an area prone to heavy winds because she saw one stuck in a tree.

We were hiding in our bathtub. Our church has a basement, and we've gone there before during severe weather warnings, but we didn't really have time to go this time. We were watching the weather and they were trying to follow its path, and then they said it made a sudden turn north and it was coming our way now. And then almost immediately we got a tornado warning alert on our phones, so we knew we couldn't make it since we would've had to drive directly through its path to get there.

The Expanse S6E1 watched.

I guess this was just a set-up episode so we can see where everyone is at for this season. Not sure if it'll happen but a Roci, Bobbie, and Drummer team-up could be a lot of fun since they're all after Marcos. Bobbie at least seems to be going to them unless her mission is less "join up with them" and more "be a second pair of eyes/hunter for that spotter ship"

Looks like I'm going to pull out a win in fantasy this week, which should get me a playoff spot. No clue how I stumbled across the finish line.

I've got a shot at winning. I'm facing the best team in the league, but we're both having terrible weeks. I might luck out because Chase Edmonds got ruled out for tomorrow and he has no one on his bench to fill in for him. I've still got the Cards D/ST and the Rams kicker left, so it's not a lock but it's possible.

I'm not too worried about it either way though since I've already got a playoff spot locked up.

We will hopefully learn the sex of the baby on Wednesday so that's potentially exciting

I am trailing by 0.10 points in my fantasy matchup, so as long as the Rams kicker doesn't get shut out in the second half or the Cardinals defense doesn't do anything at all, I should be able to win.

Started Tales of Arise.

MC seems a bit melodramatic so far lol. Like the situation is genuinely horrible but some of these reactions (who knew a cooking pot was worthy of such solemn reflection?). Shionne seems cool so far though. Think I'm in the first real dungeon about to fight the boss?

Battle system seems like an interesting new take on Tales combat so far.

I still need to buy a PS4 so I can play ToA.

I actually kinda bounced off ToA. Obviously Endwalker kinda cut into my time, but it was still not holding my interest as much as I expected.

I don't really play many PC games at all. Mostly just VNs and it's been a long time since I've played one of those (I also need to play Ciconia sometime).

Interesting. Having a good PC hooked up to your TV is fun times for gaming.

ToA was a bit disappointing for me. It starts out pretty great, but gets progressively weaker as it goes. Weak NPC game.

I generally only play games on PC if I have no other option.

Tales of Arise Progress Update: This game feels like it is simultaneously moving too fast and too slow. Like I only just got my fourth party member and can field a full team... but like in terms of the apparent main plot we seem to just be blazing at a clip where at this rate this'll be the shortest Tales ever lol.

Granted one figures the classic Tales of ~twist~ where actually there's 1-2 entire acts beyond the apparent endgame could fix that but still feels like this is all moving too quickly!
