So random fun fact about that Gaia history -

There's some circumstantial evidence that says Mitron was originally female. In addition to their true name being Artemis, there is also the fact that someone tied the voices from the crystals to their speaker and the Mitron voice was female in tone.

Combine that with Loghrif not recognizing Mitron during their reunion and you could make the case that Mitron has always been the old girlfriend, if you so choose

Pag is great, other than the ugly gear. Always what I hoped for in expert roulette instead of Matoya's.

If you have time today the you should be able to clean everything up easy. 5.5 is pretty damn short, and contains no gameplay other than the final duty sequence.

In other languages, Ultimecia is usually translated to Artemisia, from Artemis. The E12 boss is based on a real-world statue of Artemis. Taken all together, it seems pretty likely that this Ascian is meant to be a very uniquely FF14 parallel to Ultimecia. The only thing out of place is that E12S gives The Extreme to Gaia instead, but Savage isn't canon.

Kinda big brain stuff but I honestly don't see it as much of a reach. There's too much going on here.

If you can craft it it can still be HQ, so yes on leather. If you have to gather it then no.

Oh I see. I make a killing selling HQ leather throughout any given week, so no panic here.

My gameplay loop is basically random fun mining/leatherworking. I think in EW I am going to try to actually raid and do group content but this has been my coping game for this year following a rough year and I wanted 0% stress.

You can choose your login screen manually.

You would keep Shadowbringers until buying. You can also change it to Shadowbringers again by selecting the Shadowbringers title after buying Endwalker, but it will reset back to Endwalker if you completely close the game out. I think there's a mod on PC to keep it locked, though.

Raubahn is pretty much Ala Mhigo now. However in some respects his story arc concluded with 4.1, so I think he will likely be a background / support character for the Healer Role Quest.

Judging by the Tales from the Twilight chapter, I imagine the main characters for the Healer role quest will be Lyse and Fordola.

Giving the role quests to the leaders is great considering how sidelined anyone not named Raubahn has been since HW. Summit with the emperor aside, that was great for all of them. Excited to hang out with the Admiral, but now extremely glad RDM is my highest leveled non-melee job cause hoo boy does an Aymeric questline sound fantastic.

(Also wtf Hien hate, how?)

Hien is the man in his early twenties who has been through a lot.

I like Hien because he is earnest, humble, and quite funny when given the opportunity.

Of the major faction leaders I think only Aymeric is better in terms of not being an idiot by your standards.

I mean, yes and no. The faction leaders mostly suck! That's a big part of the game.

I like Nanamo a lot but she's painfully naive and inadequate as a ruler and lets an evil capitalist syndicate actually rule UlDah. Her thing about deposing them to implement democracy unfortunately never went anywhere IIRC.

Kan-E-Senna is a joke. Just kind of boring as a character, plus has to serve the will of the Elementals, and those guys DEFINITELY suck.

Merlwyb was awful for most of the game. There is this whole thing with Yshtola calling her out for being a greedy racist pirate lord who antagonizes the beast tribes for wealth, and Limsa itself is kind of a crime-ridden hellhole. She gets a redemption arc, which is good! But it's the game explicitly acknowledging she sucked ass for a long time so I don't think this is a hot take.

Aymeric, Lyse, Raubahn, the Crystal Exarch, and the motherfucking based as hell eglitarian communist utopian gobbies in Idylshire are all fine to great! No problems with them.

Hien is actually unique in that he sucks but the story doesn't draw attention to it. All of his battles are won by getting other people (like the Xaela tribes) to fight for him. That's an interesting angle, but the story really wants us to think Hien himself is cool and he just isn't.

I know that most of the story is people getting the WoL to do things for them and that's ok, but unlike others I really feel like Hien doesn't earn it.

I mean, even with winning over the Xaela we were the ones doing all the work!
