23 y/o Trailer Trash, Nikolas Cruz, the "cold and calculated" Parkland School Shooter has blamed WEED for the 2018 massacre of 14 students and 3 teachers after pleading guilty and apologizing to the victim's families who now faces the death penalty!!

He entered guilty pleas on all 17 counts of murder and 17 counts of attempted murder at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School

He has a history of mental health and behavioural issues according to court documents as he told a judge he was experiencing "anxiety" and seemingly blamed pot for the attack stating "US would do better if everyone STOPPED smoking marijuana. I hate drugs and i believe this country would do better if everyone would stop smoking marijuana and doing all these drugs and causing racism and violence out in the streets"

He previously admitted to using a lot of marijuana and Xanax

He understood that he would either spend the rest of his life in prison for be put to death and would not be allowed to appeal once pleading guilty

He was asked if he wanted to address the victim families and asks if he could take off his mask before stating "I am very sorry for what i did and i have to live with it everyday. If i were to get a second chance i would do everything in my power to help others. I do not care if you don't believe me. I get nightmares sometimes and can't even watch tv anymore."

Cruz then starts TEARING UP stating his warning on Drugs and marijuana specifically that caused his mental capacity to function

He said to them he knows it is their decision if he lives or dies and says the victims should have a right to choose if he should live or die but understands it will be the jury.

He was then taken away as prosecutors vowed to seek the death penalty and his change of plea to guilty would open the penalty phase in which a jury would decide whether he gets life without parole or death

If prosecutors do not drop the death penalty then all 12 jurors must agree on it

The defense will recount Cruz's history of mental health and traumatic childhood after his father died when he was 5 and mother passed 4 months after the massacre

But, I mean, the devil's skunkweed is still evil. As for banning it, I think we should work on banning alcohol again first, particularly given how many weed enthusiasts are quick to point out the evils of alcohol which is a ringing endorsement for getting rid of booze.

It's extremely hard to get an insanity plea no matter how you slice it, basically they have to prove that they have no semblance of right and wrong. Many serial killers that were considered insane, did not pull off a successful insanity plea.

People seem to think that all you have to do is prove that you have some major mental problem, but that is not true at all.

Its just a plant. I have to wonder how people got the idea to smoke it. Did they say, This plant here smells like a skunk, lets smoke it! Or maybe they burned it along with other things so they wouldnt get big wildfires and noticed they felt pretty good when they got close to the smoke.

They probably tried to cook it or cook with it, and then got high off the smoke. Or it may have started as an edible.

That's honestly probably it. But also, humans had thousands and thousands of years without much to do other than survive without the technology we have today. I'm sure there was a lot of "I wonder what happens if we do this"

The US has already banned murdering 17 kids, but that doesn't seem to have stopped him. Even if we accept his premise of blaming weed, why does he think banning weed would be any more effective?

stephen king used a pen name to write numerous movies thats a fact. Try google stupid.

and war or no war, religion can be hit with a laundry list of evils designed to justify harmful conduct and behaviors towards others war was just the broadest to cite. Land grab or no, religion was the tool to rule people up. If instead of an imaginary sky fairy getting them all fired up if they fired up a fat one instead they wouldnt have gone to war over any such land grab.

I donno. Sane people murder people for stupid reasons every fucking day. His logic is all very easy to follow, he was just wildly misinformed on the actual outcomes that awaited him. Frankly, that idiot should be glad that his insanity ploy failed. He wasnt going to be executed, so really he was just fighting for a worse standard of living on drugs that were more or less gonna make him a zombie.

PCP or Meth? Now we are actually talking about a possibility, but even then that is probably dicey. Marijuana is the safest of the illegal drugs and it's not even close, it also has medical value and that is recognized by many doctors.

The same excuse is literally true of weed. "Because I was high" is an excuse for all sorts of reckless and criminal behavior, and getting people high has been used as a means of control.
