The one who really cares about having a full Dawn Warriors party is Xezat, and Xezat AASB gives such a team 100% Crit and Crit Damage Up on entry for free. So, he does indeed cover your support requirements. (You'd also want a healer with quick cast, ideally, because Xezat AASB only gives two turns of that.)

I got a little further with Dorgann HA on Kalavinka Striker, about 20%, still not enough to kill him yet though.

Really tempted by the FFV banner to get a second cap break for Dorgann since his imperil LMR is going to keep him on my physical earth team...

I'll wait until all the tickets are done though in case I luck out and get one of Tifa's syncs, if she had one more cap break then I think I could beat Kalavinka Striker.

Whew, I beat Armor Construct. At 4.6% I lost Rydia, Edge, and Cait Sith, but Golbez was able to get off the two attacks he needed to finish the fight. At the end Rosa and Golbez both had empty HP bars but a win's a win!

It took me several tries to survive his first few attacks (I ended up having to both use RW wall and dive the hp nodes of Vayne and Seymours record boards), but once I got past that I beat him on the first try. I was a bit worried that Seymours summons hitting the orb was gonna screw me, but it seems that only single target attacks matter for that?

Anyway, I guess that just leaves me with the 6*s that everyone says suck (Ifrit, Valefor, and Diablos).

Diabolos isn't too bad with Rem sync. Physical Diabolos is a nightmare though (no pun intended)

Mog's AA2 would be problematic for Diabolos though due to the esuna chases, right?

Yeah possibly. Onion Knight mage USB is good for it though since it boosts mind, magic and resistance and doesn't overlap with gen 2 Holy chains. Ovelia Awakening give a big mind boost too.

I got 1/10 Thancred w-cast LMR, which is pretty crappy right now. However, with Bio banner 2 on the horizon, this could become a nice pickup if I get his Sync and/or AASB there.

Yeah Orlandeau used to be godlike when DPS usbs were relevant, it's still a decent backup today if you only have 1 cap break for him.

Got Zeid end LMR and Squall fire glint+, both new but not really exciting, still beats dupes at least.

Got a Prishe Glint+. Well, I have her FB counter AASB, so it's something, I guess.

I made a couple more tries to do Kalavinka Striker in under 30. Didn't get there yet but I can say Rinoa's BDL glint is super good.

I'm pretty sure I can do X and XV with my current tech, if I put some time into serious attempts.

Definitely makes me want to pull more on b1 for Rydia's sync. The only thing that might let me resist is it comes back next fest, and holy labyrinth season isn't until after that.

Yeah those Hope/Paine like cap break syncs are crazy. Also a lot of people are sleeping on Braska (despite my Bahmaut trouble) Imagine how crazy strong he'll be when his hero artifacts come out next month.

Wish my Fusoya could do that kinda damage, I can't seem to get him to even reach 19999 in phase 2/3.

How good is Braska with just his AA? I got that a few days ago from the magic draw.

I have heard that the X DB uses an obnoxious amount of barwater, so I assume hell be useful for that when I eventually have enough stuff to tackle that...

Braska is mediocre with just an awakening, he's good for realm because he doesn't give a damn about null waters and defense buffs but he's severely outclassesed in fire mages.

Braska with sync however is a arguably the second best fire mage in the game (Ace is tops due to ATB sync and Dual Awakening)

Ah got it. Yeah I doubted he would make my fire team; obviously hes not replacing Papa with his sync, and I have Terra with her fire sync too (plus her AOSB which is at least something else to do with her meter).

Hrm so I have 146 mythril now, so I guess I can do three, maybe four pulls across fest banners 3 and 5 (or maybe even 1?) and bio (probably 2)

1: Rinoa stuff or Elarra's sync would be great. Also kinda want Rydia's stuff, but all I have for her now is her earth dyad (and an earth BSB).
3: I mainly want Edge's dyad/Maria stuff. Locke could be useful if I happened to get multiple things for him.
5: I have Lightning's sync and Mog's AA2 (though dupes of that would save me scrolls!); other than duping Lightning's sync pretty much everything here is probably at least somewhat useful, though I don't have anything else notable for the other characters with the FB counters besides Yuna's SB gauge G+.
Bio 2: Mostly want Kefka and Quina's syncs, though I have zero BDLs for bio so a lot of stuff would potentially be useful eventually.

At least one of the pulls will definitely be B5, but beyond that I'm not sure.

I think you have to rank Vivi above Braska right? Braska's sync just gets double cap break as long as you use command 1. Vivi also effectively gets double cap break and massive damage bonuses, but with his sync being more awkward to use. Having to use c2 and then c1 delays his damage, although sometimes that's also an advantage (he can basically store up casts during the 5 second damage reduction stages).

It's a stacking cap break like Hope or Rydia like you saw there, he gets more cap breaks depending on how many times sync command 1 activates, and dualcasts stack cap breaks too. Braska can hit crazy high numbers because of his summon HA, and it gives him fire damage bonuses and his dualcast LM2 is 40%.

Are you sure? The community spreadsheet and the in-game text both say raise the user's cap break level for 1 turn. So technically it's stacking but you can't stack more than one, unless I'm missing something.

I've seen Braska hit Sin and Shiva for over 40000 per hit so I know it's true from experience.

That's silly enough numbers as is for a mage with only 1 soul break use. He's only gonna get scarier when his hero gear and dual awakening come out.

Hope and Paine's syncs says the same thing that it's only one despite the fact they can reach those kind of numbers as well.

Paine's sync is basically old enough to be dream selectable at this point so I doubt we'll get apology mythril.

It actually works as described. It's just the doublecasts being amazing on those SBs. With perect w-cast luck, you can get the following:

C1 at 20k (cap+1) -> w-cast C1 at 30k(cap+1) -> ability at 40k
C1 at 40k (cap+1) -> w-cast C1 at 50k(cap+1) -> ability at 60k

Only after that last ability do the cap breaks from the first turn drop, and you go back down to 40k

Yeah, I realized I had Paine's sync but had no idea it worked like this until you mentioned it. I tested it on the d450 torment (figured it would have enough HP to take some hits but not so much damage resistance I couldn't cap). It does seem to work as expected, but I was getting doublecasts and had some hits for 59999. It's extremely powerful and made me realize I've been using Paine's sync wrong, so thanks.

As much as I love Paine's HA for the guaranteed rage-break, I sometimes wish she had a standard 6-hit HA. It's such a waste having to link weak-ass Torrential Assault to her C1.

Yep, cap break command syncs like these are the best kind of syncs next to ATB boosting syncs, can't wait to see the kind of damage Braska will do to Snow Giant with Rubicante's imperils and hero artifacts.

Probably not gonna try until I max out Golbez's HE, but is the following enough for dark weak magic WOdin?

Golbez: CSB, SASB, AASB
Seymour: SASB, AASB2, USB1, G+
Vayne: AASB1
Mog: AASB2, USB1, G+1 (will probably hone AA2 after fest; holding off in case I get any dupes on B5)
Elarra: everything besides SASB2, BSB, GSB
Magicite: Haven't beaten Diabolos so he's only level 65 (Alex is 99).

If for some reason it would be worth giving up a BDL I could also take Ultimecia with her anti-aegis bUSB instead of Vayne.

My main concern is that I'm not sure I'll have enough gauge on Golbez to actually make use of both of his BDLs while chaining; I'd feel a lot better if Vayne was the one with those. I have none of their HAs currently, though I have the sapphires to buy some.

You should beat Diabolos first to max level the magicite.

I would definitely get Golbez's HA since it's 6 hits and he's your chain user with two cap breaks. Seymour can still break cap with Anima since it's a summon so he's HA is iffy. Vayne's HA is 6 hits and he can be used for physical as well.

Did you get Vayne's free dark chain? You can use that in the first third then later in the fight have Golbez use his chain and second cap break.
