Auron Glint - better than a dupe

What do you guys think of that Autumn Relic Draw?
Seems to me like it's just too much of a gamble, considering the massive relic pool.
As for the free stuff, I have 1500+ of each Crystal, 6000+ of each 6* mote, 3300 Rainbow Crystals, and enough Sapphires for 28 hero abilities. So while it's some good stuff, I really don't feel it would be useful to me.

Sounds like it's basically 50 mythril for 2 random 6*s and a realm ticket, which doesn't feel like it's worth it.

Yeah I don't think it's worth it. My luck has been awful recently anyway so I don't want to risk it if it means those two discos would end up osbs or usbs anyway.

I tried FF4 Bahamut again with hero equipment but for whatever reason he's a lot harder to deal with than Armor Construct with the same team. I try to go for a faster time by killing Bahamut before phase 3 mega flare but even then it's 35 seconds... phooey.

I'm probably gonna draw once on banner 2 to get a selection A pick. Kinda wish I got that Fusoya sync.

Suffice to say my FFIV team is going to be unorthodox with this monk action I got going on here. Should make my earth physical team usable too.

You can eventually dream select those in like 8~months.

It sucks when you have most of a banner but you're missing one or two major relics you had your heart set on. I'm still pretty tempted to pull again on the fire chocobo banner for Rubicante sync and awakening 2 but I know I'll end up 1/11 Braska usb/glint.

Wish the stamps weren't so expensive, especially when it's just between two banners. Fests are fine because it's between 5 banners but when you pull that much on 1-2 banners you get too dupe heavy.

Dupe Beatrix LMR. Augh all garbage or dupes so far this LotR

Also if you use a white mage team in labyrinth consider adding Fusoya to the team, he has a Red XIII like HA for holy and he has hero gear now so he can imperil from the start with an instant cast, and it saves some equipment slots too!

I'm getting through a little faster thanks to him helping Rem do more damage with his imperils so even annoying bulky bosses like Ramza and Marilis die quicker!

Mog starts with awakening 1, Rem uses sync, Arc uses his imperil glint+, Rosa uses Wodin or if the enemy is dangerous glint+, and Fusoya uses HA or Wodin if Rosa starts with Glint+.

You can use Cait Sith awakening/sync as an alternative to Mog if you have that. Though with Fusoya's imperils maybe you can use Onion Knight mage USB with his instant cast 2 LMR as a poverty option.

In my setup, Rem and Elarra get MM/DMT and Hope has a 500 SB glint. That was the main reason I switched from using Cait Sith, since I can get it up and running faster. My other two characters are Exdeath and Agrias but I'd like to switch to characters with higher speed than Rem so she doesn't waste her first turn using Fabula Guardian. Or maybe I should just start them with haste RMs.

I don't bother with wall in labyrinth, the enemies don't do enough damage and if they do it's piercing anyway. Also that's why I use Mog is that he's faster than Rem so he gets the first turn.

You should swap Agrias for Fusoya since he won't be bothered by fatigue.

Sweet I got both 5% damage passives for Rubicante's armor and weapon! Good thing too since I plan to use him for the Snow Giant.

The banner is gonna close soon and I would really like his sync or awakening 2 but I must resist! I beat Armor Construct already and I got 4 2 cap break DPS fire mages so I should be able to handle the Snow Giant. Gotta save that mythril for... uh I dunno the fest after I guess. (not really interested in the next fest outside of Edge dyad.)

I just do the first few turns manually then leave it on auto with soul breaks off. I do Mog awakening 1>Rem Sync (or Rem Sync first if a Type-0 boss boosts her speed with synergy) > Arc glint +> Wodin then leave on auto. Or if the enemy hits hard like Wendigo that I need proshellga I have Rosa use her glint+ and then Fusoya uses Wodin then leave it on auto.

Yuna (Haste RM + Alexander + Proshellga Glint + Meter Glint + AASB1 + Sending)
Fusoya (Start Meter + Dyad + Dyad2 (I have it level 10 due to drawing 5 lol) + Bless)
Hope (Future Hope -> Chain -> Radiant Dragon)

Generally wins pretty fast. I almost never see Yuna actually use any Sending casts.

Also for the record that team is pretty fast even without Fisoya Dyad10. I actually had the same team with Agrias with Stasis Sword and Lightning with the start Meter (using AASB1) instead of Fusoya and it was almost as fast. The hastes on the summon/rw and quick chain + start meter on a DPS are what's important

Don't you have Rem sync? Why are you using Minwu over her when she gets ATB speed boosts?

Seems like you have to sit through a lot of soul break animations thanks to Yuna. While I do it manually for a bit I only have to go through 2 soul break animations (and Arc glint+ if you count that, that's only a sec) and almost every boss dies in 3-4 turns depending on dualcasts, with a few exceptions like those dinosaur skeletons that use reflect and Alexander (fuck that guy and his damage reduction and shellga!) Sure it's kinda annoying but it cuts a lot of time overall in the full labyrinth run because no one has to waste a turn on wall mucking up the full auto.

I finally got a mog ball on LotR and it was a dupe Cait Sith sync, ugh. Well at least it's got a damage barrier thanks to rank up so that's better than Kimihari USB.

Oh dang I would trade my dupe sync for that USB2, the thing that makes me reluctant to use Cait Sith is after his awakening/sync time is over he has nothing to use his meter on because his older soul breaks aren't that useful in current high end content.

Also geez this stroke of the brush malboro boss hits awfully hard. 8000+ damage first turn and he uses it twice in under the 10 second time. Maybe it's because I don't use wall/proshellga against these bosses anymore but that took me by surprise. I had to use the healing RW.

Glints have super fast animations and Minwu DPS is higher than Rem actually on a per turn basis in this particular use case. 50% dualcast and ability boost matters.

But the point is I pay 0% attention to the screen and win. If I have to look at the screen for 20 seconds while the first few soul breaks go off that's wasted time imo. Just go full auto and work. If my fight takes 10 seconds longer but I pay attention for 20 seconds less each rep that's a win I think.

Rem has 2x atb bar over Minwu which is basically a dualcast and she caps or near caps on most bosses for me, even without chain. Plus some bosses like Ravus and Twintania are weak to holy anyway.

I see the appeal to Rem but yeah it's not as cut and dry as you think unless she's solo dps really. More rem turns aren't necessarily better if most of your dudes can match that sync damage

In labyrinth the least time looking at the screen is best. If you gotta manually not do something your team isn't optimized. You gotta optimize the ability to do it While not playing the game. That's how you preserve sanity. More important than stamina to be sure.

You're aware she's still arguably the best white mage DPS in the game even in Japan right now (and her Dyad only recently got announced for the next fest and isn't out yet) Only Hope sync can compete with her. It's more of a time issue because I want to clear them ASAP. More soul break animations mean more time acuminated, and consider you have to go through 15-20 floors those soul break animations add up and consume more time. I don't like doing labyrinths on my phone because it will stress out the battery so I gotta do it on my computer in bluestacks and it load faster there anyway. Besides it's not even that big of a deal, I grind while watching youtube/Disney+ and just keep an ear open when Mog's awakening animation sounds end, do 4 more clicks and leave it until I hear the boss die.

Like I said real time is less important than real time spent clicking to me. I just want to click once and do something else. 15-20 floors of watching the first 4 turns adds up too. Taking 30 seconds of attention per encounter vs 5 is a huge difference-- like if I had to watch the first few turns I couldn't do productive stuff cause I couldn't focus. Because not only do you need to watch those turns you also watch loading screens (or listen for sounds-- I don't want to hear game sounds while I'm watching a TV show either).

Like I've actually done that amount of attention to Brave Exvius in the past and the amount of time that feels lost is incredible.

You really should tool your team around just autoing the wall and see how it feels to you in terms of what you're investing. Just ignore the extra bit of real time and consider how much time it FEELS like you're putting in. You may be surprised.

Uh, no? If everyone is capping it actually doesn't matter all that much. Her extra turn edge is more relevant when all the characters on your team aren't contributing 4-6x damage cap every turn.

I've tried her on my team. Minwu makes more rapid clears. More casts and more damage per hit generally (some enemies aren't auto cap for 19999 like Chaos and Alexander). Keep in mind my Minwu has a large Magia edge too which probably matters there.

Really I should consider using her instead of Lightning though. Once I get Fusoya's equipment set it seems like a good idea since he'd have IC1 then.

How do you have everyone doing the same damage with only two of MM/DMT though? I'm all about it being fully auto since the Labyrinth is so long and tedious. I like Rem though because at the beginning of the fight only one character can do up to 200k per turn, everyone else is doing up to 50k. So the character who can take more turns is good.

Anyway, got Josef's glint+ with my ticket :/

Tried subbing Rem in again for a run since admittedly I haven't tried her since I got Fusoya's toys. Wanted to give her a fair shake. Did one run with her and one run with Minwu on the bottom max difficulty dungeon, Corridor of the Tower, actually paid attention to both

I guess the big thing here that you guys aren't really realizing due to having loved and appreciated her for magicite battles and the like is that that fast CT doesn't really matter for auto battle labyrinth if your team is optimized well as what happens is Rem gets at most two sync actions and the enemy is dead. If you had her sync at rank 5 I could see maybe getting three with my setup but I'm just saying ATB hacks don't matter as much if your party is all dumping out damage rapidly because there are less ATBs to shorten.

So here is how the fights go with Rem and with Minwu generally. Sap ticks can screw up the turn order but this is what I see every time they don't (and really saps just swap some turns overall turn count ends up being the same)

Lightning - Fabula Guardian
Yuna - Alexander (VI)
Hope - Future Hope
Fusoya - Engage Arcane Dyad
Lightning - Blaze Rush
Minwu - Seal of Mysidia
Yuna - Final Wall (because she lightning and hope start with haste this only ends up losing a tiny bit off Fusoya's CT speed. Rem/Minwu are still casting AASB/Sync here)
Rem - Saintly Huntcraft
Hope - Enchanted Boomerang
Lightning - Blaze Rush
Alexander - Holy Luster
Fusoya - Apex W-Meteo
Yuna - Yearning Prayer
Lightning - Blaze Rush
Rem - Dagger Dia / Minwu - Holy VIII
Hope - Sacred Mist
Fusoya - Bless (with Minwu the fight is often over by now if fatigue is low)
Yuna - For the Calm
Rem - Dagger Dia / Minwu - Holy VIII (95% of the time the fight is over by this turn with Minwu)
Alexander - Holy Luster
Lightning - Blaze Rush (I actually haven't seen past this turn using Minwu aside from the boss, to my knowledge)
Yuna - Alexander (VI) (with Rem the fight is usually over here at fatigue 10)
Rem - Dagger Dia
Hope - Sacred Mist (I've never seen any turns after this aside from the boss with Rem)
Fusoya - Bless
Lightning - Blaze Rush
Rem - Dagger Dia

So the big difference is with Rem the fight sees For The Calm and later turns a lot more often. The reason is Minwu casts Holy VIII 3+ times 62% of the time whereas Rem will only double cast Dagger Dia 35% of the time. Minwu's AASB entry damage is much higher than Rem's Sync entry damage (8500x15 vs 4000x15 for most enemies) and activates faster than her sync (his AASB is rank 8 currently due to a few dupes and one honing scroll, Rem is still at rank 1). The base damage on his actions is also substantially higher, I suspect due to ability boost mattering more than empowered enholy but he's also just got stronger bases due to more use as I only have around 140 magia on Rem to Minwu's 400+-- I've seen Rem fail to cap on tankier enemies like Marilith, Ramza, and Alexander on her first turn due to lower chain count. The only thing Minwu won't cap on is Alexander, but on second turn+ comes really close, like 17k range.

While it's true with some more resources into Rem (honing her Sync and getting her more Magia) this would be a closer call, right now Minwu clearly is more effective for me and given how quick the fights go I actually think he has the edge in general due to a significantly higher tri/quad cast rate. Minwu quad casts 12% of the time and tri-casts 50% of the time making his turns more efficient than Rem's. A quad cast Minwu turn is almost as good as two Rem turns, even if he gets less of them in theory-- and in practice ATB tricks don't matter all that much when fights are only going a few turns.

Whether the team is fatigued matters a bit. At lower than fatigue 10 Lightning contributes significant damage and even Rem setup can often outpace For the Calm. At fatigue 10 Lightning has trouble capping and ends up doing like 1/2 her non-fatigued damage.

I do wonder if there are better optimizations to be made though ignoring the Rem vs Minwu thing. Swapping Lightning for someone else or maybe just having Yuna use The Sending after her wall rather than meter glint + AASB. I feel like some enemies might have lethal damage threat using only the Sending AOE at healing though. Also a historia crystal seems like it might be decent for better entry damage considering I'm getting two summons off and am easily capping with most-- but not sure how much losing the empower holys will matter for hitting damage caps

Also just for the record Minwu team finishes the boss with Hope's Sacred Mist, 3 turns before, with Minwu casting Alexander for some reason but Yuna doing good damage with twincast Sending.
