I heard the difference is either some stuff for D3, where the other doesn't have everything offered. Or something about if you own certain things already. And that the price would be adjusted after buying... I think that's what reddit was saying... I believed this question was asked there, as well...

I'm replaying D2 off and on this past week for the first time in many years. My pally's level 17 currently running Countess to scrape up runes for a nice shield (shael + eth) and armor (tal + eth). She hasn't given me ANY stinking eth runes at all yet, which is mighty weird.

In the second floor of her tower a champion ghost dropped my first unique, a Lenymo sash. I'm pretty sure I've never gotten this in like ten years playing. Regardless it's way better than my crappy "attacker takes damage of 1" belt I had on before.

One more level to go before I swap over to Holy Freeze, baby!

Pre-ordered the PC version since my new gaming PC is arriving on August 31. I pre-ordeerd the version that comes with Diablo 3 + all DLC.
Also pre-ordered New World, so I'll be a busy PC gamer.
Also somewhat off-topic but Diablo 4 director got ousted. I wonder what will become of that game now.

Idk man, half the fun of hack-n-slash ARPGs to me is spam clicking on shit and watching it disappear. Without hotkeys how do you quickly change skills and use belt items?

There are limited buttons on a controller obviously. You need 1-4 for potions and then however many skills you use. There's also left hand and right hand skills in the game. I'm sure the game plays very fluidly with a controller, I'm just thinking there are times when you have to be quick on your toes in D2, especially if you're playing hardcore.

I wouldn't say that. Controllers are terrible for any build that relies on ground targeting for positioning, like Leapquake or Raiment. The auto-aim is fine for abilities that target enemies (though it makes it pretty mindless to not even have to pay enough attention to click on them), but with Raiment, you're stuck zipping halfway across the map with every Dash Strike and having to reposition manually to keep attacking, and Leapquake is very much a "Jesus take the wheel" build in that you have to hope auto-aim doesn't throw you somewhere you don't want.

Objectively, M+KB allows for more precise aiming. How much that matters varies by build, but it's nonetheless true.

This resurrected edition is being done by Vicarious Visions. A developer that was on the Activision side, on their own and just recently was moved to the Blizzard division.

The team behind this remaster has nothing to do with all the disgusting crap going down.

Of course they do, its still published by Activision Blizzard and that is where the majority of the money will go.

People are free to make their own decisions but it is good to be knowledgeable about these things I think.

They still don't let you target a specific point on the ground, and even with the manual targeting, it's decidedly less convenient than just pointing a mouse at something.

I generally do, for ARPG's. The Switch doesn't offer that option, though (... to my knowledge), so for D3, it's a moot point.
