But, figuring each thing needs to be matched to another thing, fire and the axe make the most sense (since nothing else really fits an axe; it's a heavy, very aggressive weapon and both fire and an axe work vs wood). I think air (or wind) and an arrow works. It's a very intuitive thing. However, lightning and ice wouldn't necessarily be terrible picks. Fire arrows are stupid, though. Then question comes to ice or lightning for the spear, which could go either way. While the sword can be anything, the most ......popular...is a fire sword. That is often the magical sword you see in tales etc. Meanwhile Ice Axes seem to dominate, often in norse mythology etc, i would say there are more magical Ice Axes that are named then any other element. Because I've seen the spear associated with ice a lot as well, not to mention that both spears and ice are depicted as dragon weaknesses (where they have to target a specific place on a dragon's body, often where the lower jaw connects to the neck) Of course, it's worth noting that when you see a lightning spear, it's a thrown attack and I tend to think of spears predominantly for their melee usage.
