Because I've seen the spear associated with ice a lot as well, not to mention that both spears and ice are depicted as dragon weaknesses (where they have to target a specific place on a dragon's body, often where the lower jaw connects to the neck) Of course, it's worth noting that when you see a lightning spear, it's a *thrown* attack and I tend to think of spears predominantly for their melee usage. And that was the other half of my thought process. wolfy42 posted... Meanwhile Ice Axes seem to dominate, often in norse mythology etc, i would say there are more magical Ice Axes that are named then any other element.
