20 y/o Alex Jackson, a college student in Iowa murdered his ENTIRE family after he was told to either get a job or MOVE OUT..then blamed the murders on an INTRUDER!!

He called 911 on Tuesday to report that he and his dad had been shot by a male intruder in Cedar Rapids where police found his 61 y/o father, Jan, 68 y/o mother, Melissa and 19 y/o sister, Sabrina dead from gunshot wounds in different rooms of the house

They found Alex with a gunshot wound to his FOOT of which he either shot himself to make it look like an intruder did it or possibly one of his family members in a struggle

He said he woke up to the sound of gunfire and was shot in a struggle by a masked gunman with a rifle

He said he and his father left a rifle on the fireplace after cleaning it the night before.

Police found the .22 caliber semi-auto rifle but found no sign of forced entry or burglary

Alex denied killing them but did admit his father recently gave him an ultimatum to either find a job or move out

He is now booked on 3 counts of first degree murder and made a brief court appearnace dressed in a yellow jumpsuit and is on 3 million bond

A public defender, Lindsay Garner was representing him who plead not guilty

This is the first triple homicide in the city since 1982 and only second since 1959

The 911 audio could not be released because it contained important evidence against him

The murders has shocked the community who lived near the family as friends and family paid tributes to the victims

Alex and Sabrina were students at University of Iowa studying Liberal Arts and Sciences

Alex graduated from Kennedy High in 2019 before his sister and played the flute whlie she played the oboe in a symphony band

Sabrina introduced then presidential candidate, Andrew Yang when he visited Cedar Rapids who discussed global warming

Alex was an Eagle Scout in 2017 after workking with Save Cedar Rapids Heritage organization. He had no prior record in Iowa..not even a speeding ticket.

As much as I like the idea of this, especially paired with leaving the house to him so he can experience slowly starving in a comfortable home because he shot the hand that fed him, I feel like that'd probably just turn him into a supervillain.

While his parents were being a bit dickish considering the guy was only 20 years old, you are living in a fantasy land if you think parents will let a female live with them indefinitely without any issue and without a job.

I also assume there was more nuance to the situation then them demanding a job, they probably would have been fine with him going to school or something. It can be a bit of a pain to have a child that grows up graduates from high school then sits around all day doing whatever at your house.

Parents already spend quite a bit raising a child from newborn to age 18 alone.

There are a TON of unmotivated 18-22 year olds out there, acting like this kid was busting his ass everyday to get a job is a joke.

Depends on if he lands in a federal or state/private prison. Working is optional in federal prisons, but it is mandatory in state/private prisons.

It says he was still a college student, so they apparently weren't fine with just that. And a lot of parents aren't. If you grew up busting your ass and worked full time while also in college, you're probably going to expect your kids work and go to school.

There's a lot with American prisons that shouldn't be legal. And lest anybody forget, Kamala's office deliberately prevented prisoners from getting early release on the grounds that it mess with the prison labor population (not to mention buried evidence that could have exonerated people in the first place so they wouldn't wind up there). If her name sounds like a Superman villain's name, it's because she kinda is a villain.
