Sure it stopped the same repetitive questions/topics from being made over and over again, but 80-90% of people's impetus to make an account here in the first place was to ask/respond to one of those repetitive topics. At the very least, if they were going to archive the topics, they shouldn't have locked ones with lots of replies. How many people stumbled upon an interesting plot analysis topic on a board, wanted to contribute, then saw that the topic was locked and moved on? --- Congrats on Advokaiser for winning the 2018 Guru Contest!
