Snake5555555555 05/06/21 1:10:43 PM #56:	While I don't think RE5 is better than 4 it is still a top 5 RE game for me. Umbrella Corps is the worst game I ever played bar none. ORC has a lot of surprisingly cool fan service (the part where you defeat all the T-103s at the Dead Factory on the Spec Ops side which leads to the aftermath in RE3 is amazing) but in general feels clunky and enemies are annoyingly tanky. I enjoy the Chronicles rail shooters, I like the lore they add and the cutscenes in Darkside Chronicles always stood out to me too, and I freakin' love Claire's personality and designs in that game. RE6 really started to click for me once I re-bought it on Xbox One and started to get into its Mercs. The mechanics in the game shine the best here; quickshots, sliding, melee, you can absolutely do the coolest shit in this game and it's such a blast. Every character even feels distinct in their playstyle which opens a ton of room for experimentation. Melee only as Jake in No Mercy Mercs is quite the thrill-ride in particular. Enemy variety is really high too and requires a lot of changes in strategy moment to moment. Yeah there's a ton of tacked on shit in the campaign, but the game can be legitimately fun at points and I could go on but I'll stop here. --- I've decided to put my fears behind me. The plot and characters suck, the action is worse than 5, the campaign drags on and there's no horror at all, but like... it plays ok? I wouldn't call it an atrocious game, there are AAA releases that are much worse. Though it is my least fav RE, maybe tied with 0. (Haven't played the garbage spinoffs everyone hates) But then I'm one of the few who doesn't rate 4 nearly as high as everyone else, probably because I played it so many years later and after so many others that followed in its footsteps. --- Slowly becoming a Final Fantasy aficionado.
