To draw the stock parallel, I reckon you could say EVRI is my best friend, RIOT is some guy I just met and just invited me to his wedding, and FUBO invited me to his wedding but canceled it last second after I booked the flight.

It's hard to explain this situation so I'm not going to go into detail, but I will say that both of us are unwaveringly loyal to each other and I am pretty sure will always be.

The Coinbase valuation makes me more bullish on SCHW. Stocks are a much bigger market than crypto and Coinbase isn't going to be able to charge its crazy high commissions forever.

So apparently shorting when there are no actual shares to short is another thing only institutional investors can do, because of course. This is like the 4th time this has happened to me and I got curious because every single time I wanted to would have been a huge play. Fuck that shit. Obviously I don't want to short long term or hell even a swing, but it's kinda ridiculous that institutions probably all shorted coinbase's ipo today in the millions and I couldn't short 5 thousand dollars worth. 0/4 attempted shorts that would have made me bank.

Why would you want to short a stock when there are no shares to short? That screams short squeeze potential.

Because for 30 minutes I would have made a 25% gain that I closed before the hype run tomorrow.

Though honestly even that I'm doubtful would last long for these IPOs, but with a short position I'd play safe. There's a million people getting rich off short positions post GME (and from GME). The WallStreetBets cult has done nothing to change that. Shame, since maybe they could have been a real movement.

E: And having never had a short go through besides back when I paper traded, I was putting up barely over 5k worth. Though I guess had it gone through I might have put up more. I mean literally every IPO for the last year has followed the same pattern. I honestly can't think of a single one that didn't sell off on IPO day and closed higher than its opening.

Feel like my last post was kinda dickish. Sorry if it was - I was drinking and mad about something, so deleted it. But yeah, I just wanted quick gains, put little money down, and IPOs have repeated this pattern all throughout this last year! Seemed like a smart move. Would've made a few thousand pretty quick but oh well, tutes beat me to it.

Well, I put a decent chunk of money into NNDM yesterday, now right around the price it is. Feels like it might have bottomed out and is regaining its hype.

If the pattern is always there you can just buy shares at open and sell them back when it goes up. That's a much less risky version of short selling that probably has about the same profit margin all things considered overall.

Is there some reason that Schwab wont let me electronically deposit funds into my account? It will let me take a picture of a check, but I don't have physical checks.

I'm getting ready to start setting aside some crypto gains and move them into my Schwab account for eventual use, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do that.

This is why it's a good idea to have multiple brokers because sometimes they get silly.

If you like Schwab, try TD Ameritrade since they're owned by Schwab now. I'm sure my TDA account is going to become a Schwab account someday.

Right I heard that was coming when i was deciding which one to set up so I just cut to the chase and went with Schwab.

I'm not in a dire rush to get funds into my brokerage account, I'm still playing with a baby stack compared to everyone else and I'm only committing small percentages of my stack into individual cryptos right now for marginal gains. I just want to also want to start getting my ducks in a row for when I can afford to play with the stock market as well.

For me, a coworker in mine was showing me thinkorswim and I was impressed. It's really good software. I'm sure there's other good software out there but that's why I ended up going with TD Ameritrade. I just wish their margin fees weren't so darn high, but I guess that's a good way to avoid getting into debt. I'd have to think really hard on whether that stock will earn me money and how much I'm willing to risk getting margin called.

I'd say COIN is definitely a buy at these prices, but will it really outpace ethereum and bitcoin by the end of the year? I mean it wouldn't surprise me if next year Coinbase is like a $1000 stock as long as crypto keeps going up.

Gotcha. Yeah, I tried looking through filings briefly and didn't find anything. It's on a day trading discord I use just to social arb - a much lesser discord than ours! And someone just said they wouldn't mess with a stock that would "potentially delist." So probably nothing.

Those day traders are probably the people running down the stock on such low volume!

Damn, CREX really is an interesting play. If they're actually liable to drop a PR any day now on that rumored 7-11 contract, I'm in. Warrants holding up during the descent of commons is interesting too. I wonder if some institutions have been loading, or if they're just lagging behind and bound to fall soon.

Oh, and it's a low-floater, my favorite! Absolutely have to force myself to sell though if this things moons 'cause it'll shoot down so fast. But holy hell, it could go astronomical with that float and the usual low volume; it looks like it did that right around this time last year.

But yeah, even if doesn't moon, feels like a pretty good time to invest in it for a bounce at the least. Selloff from their horrible ER is hopefully over and it's been oversold. It's shot down very fast and a reversal could put them right back at 1.70+. I'll buy commons though and not warrants here for now since those seem overpriced still.

The estimated next ER is May 13. Do you have any expectation of an actual good ER for Q1 2021, Lopen? Or is the 7-11 rumor your real catalyst for now? Because their YoY for the last year has been atrocious.

7-11 is more than a rumor. The fact that it's actually 7-11 is the only speculation there. Known press releases said they have a "new client with worldwide presence that has 14k North America locations" which the numbers basically spell out 7-11, and last earnings call they said they're closing on the deal soon which when finalized would bring them guaranteed 6m revenue per quarter, which is an insane amount of base revenue for their tiny cap. They couldn't give further details because of requests from their client but yeah I imagine it will be known soon. Next earnings at latest.

I expect their EPS to be very positive by the end of 2021 which should make the stock price increase on its own. Actual release of the name of the client/contract terms in PR form would make it moon short term, which should come fairly soon. But yeah at some point I expect this to be a dividend stock, straight up. 7-11 should give them a big enough footprint that they'll get more clients from that-- their work honestly looks really nice too. cri.com check it out.

These warrants I will probably sell about half when they double and ride out the rest, as the company doesn't terribly need dilution if they're pulling in that revenue (keep in mind their EPS is close to neutral right now and while they have around 10m debt they could likely erase that without an offering if they really wanted to) and I could only see their stock price increasing by quite a bit with that amount of revenue. That's not to say they won't do any offerings, but they're not the type to spam them I don't think as they can sustain themselves. I think they would more likely want people to cash their warrants out and to make money that way.

Basically CREX is a covid stock (its clients are negatively impacted by COVID) that hasn't yet recovered from the COVID dip as its clients are only now recovering.

Huge upside with it. Think the only reason it's dipping now is short selling games to try and flush people out before the PR on the announcement. Legit see these warrants as potential 10-20 baggers here by the time they expire. Like I overpaid for mine my cost average is a bit below $0.40, but don't really have too much concern about them.

Yeah, it's absolutely possible for the warrants to be that big of a trade, especially since their strike price is so low.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, by rumor I just meant that the client was indeed 7-11. And yeah, I figure post-Covid they recover nicely. What about the thermal mirrors that they were making during Covid though? I can't remember how big of an investment that was though, but it sounds like that was an extra way they were making money during Covid and they'll lose that. Hopefully it's next to none of their overall business.

Yeah, it's very easy for institutions or even just whales to manipulate a stock like this. I'll buy tomorrow. I have a shitton of free cash thanks to RGBP now so hmmm, I may throw up to 20k this way, probably all at once if I can get it 1.25 - 1 35. Breaking my usual rule but not sure how long term I want to be with them yet anyway, and I don't want to miss the PR. If warrants come down, I will absolutely load up on those in the .20 - .25 range if I can get that too.

I will sell everything on PR release day though because even the commons can easily quadruple+ on this float with the right amount of volume. I'ma want realized gains baby. Plus I'm still mad at myself for not having more money from my last huge trade, not gonna do that twice!
