Does anybody who posted in this topic honestly not expect to still be on Gamefaqs so long as Gamefaqs is a thing? Anyone who was going to quit it would have done so years ago.

Idk I haven't even been back a year so it's way too soon to tell if I'll stick around for 20. Hell, that's enough time for me to leave and come back! Multiple times! But, all that being said, the bigger question is will GameFAQs still be around then? And if not, will the forums have migrated or been preserved in some way? This is already a dying website, so it's hard to imagine it being more than a ghost town if it still exists in 20 years unless something breathes new life here.

50 is practically right around the corner so yeah why not?

Doubt it. This site is already a shell of its former self when I joined, so I shudder at the state of it in 15 years. I might actually have left already if not for covid funnily enough. I was barely using it anymore till last year. The past year is by far the most I used this place in absolute ages.

This...and for me, that's like 9 years from now, so mostly likely yea, if GFaqs still around like the way it is now.

Hard to say. As Zeus said, if I were particularly planning to leave, I would have already, but another two decades is long enough that I could see that changing and me drifting away.

This is, of course, assuming GameFAQs is even a thing by then. Who knows if it'll last that long.

Only about six years left now before I turn 50, so it's certainly possible. And there are a few people older than me here (some of whom are already older than 50).

We do still occasionally lose a poster or two every once in a while. Discounting all the people who just get their account banned and come back with a new alt and pretending to be someone new.

Hell the Internet is no different than CB Radio from back in the days.

My Dad up into his 40's would waste all his fee time yapping on the CB or at lest up until the late 80s when it started dying off.

Hell he even had his own shed and a long ass whip antenna and signal booster.

Even had one in his Goddamn car.

His handle was Satellite.

My (late) great grandmothers son, at least as of last year, was still regularly posting on Facebook about his habit, and that was all the way in PR, so Im sure people are still using them.
