I lost my mom over 10 years ago... time does heal a bit but not a day goes by where I don't think of her. Keep her memory with you and your son and she'll never fully be gone. She is at peace now and truly in a better place I'd like to believe. Makes me think how I'd react dealing with this, you're very brave and I commend you openly sharing this horrific situation.
