I heard Tectone especially got screwed. I mostly use Diluc, so Gravestone seems like what I'd prefer, but I also have Skyward Pride x2, so not exactly high priority.

In other news, I'm revisiting my bow situation.

Bows I have:
Stringless
Viridescent Hunt (x2)
Rust
Favonius
Sacrificial

Archers I need to equip:
Ganyu
Fischl
Childe
Diona

Prior to Ganyu, I had VH on Childe and really liked him with it, but in lieu of better options, I gave that to her and leveled Rust for Childe. Stringless is on Fischl, Diona gets an ER bow.

However, I have four bow prototypes. I was trying to avoid leveling another four-star bow, but I feel like my Ganyu doesn't keep up with other people's Ganyus. (She more than keeps up with my other characters.) How good is Crescent really? Should I be switching things up?

edit: Oh right, I forgot. The reason people like crescent is because of hitting weak spots. Never mind.

I would have if it weren't removed from the shop right before the end of her banner, when I pulled.

That said, I checked some folks' analysis, and the crescent and the blackcliff aren't too far ahead of the VH unless you factor in their text. With Prototype Crescent, I dismissed it at the time and forgot that the main edge it has is if you're hitting weak points, which pretty much requires using mouse aiming and still isn't always possible. However Blackcliff's effect is based on recent kills, which I imagine is nice, but not something I necessarily want to rely on. Maybe I'm still new to Ganyu, but I'm extremely uncomfortable using her to fight a group. Hilichurls that are all charging from their camp in one direction is one thing, but being surrounded in a domain or abyss is another, and that's just about the only time it would come into play.

I do like VH. I'm a pretty big fan. The "mini Venti" isn't something to rely on, but it can be very handy, particularly for holding enemies in place. I just know other people are hitting much bigger numbers and I don't feel as if my gear is especially lacking, so it must be the weapon. All three of the 4-stars in question are 30-35% behind an R1 Amos Bow, though, according to IWinToLose.

Blah. 5-star weapons are just not something I'm working towards.

I feel like we might have asked this in the last thread, but out of curiosity, what's everyone's 5-star breakdown -- characters vs weapons? I've got (besides Traveler) 7 characters and 3 weapons, one of which is a dupe. So in practice, only 2 weapons.

C0 Venti, Mona, C1 Diluc, C2 Zhongli, so 7 in total. R1 WGS, Staff of Homa. That's what I got. I only got the 2 5 star weapons last night, previously it was all characters.

Klee, Diluc, and Ganyu for characters; Skyward Spine for weapons. I'd have more, but I am hoarding a ton of primogems

Oh, Ive only gotten a single 5* off that so far (Jean) since I dont use primos for acquaint fate. Nice to know for the future, but Ill always prefer a character over a weapon lol

Based on polling, you have about a 35% chance of getting one in the first 73 pulls. You have about a 55% chance of it being in the next 10.The scant few percent after that trickle away before you hit 90. Median is 76 iirc.

Not sure when it became available but I finally did Blink of an Eye. Let 2 through on my first wave, and none after that.

I really like Theater Mechanicus, but it's not super well-balanced. I literally just spent 20 minutes standing over the very last-line of defense node with the mine, waiting to replace it in case something got through and set it off. There's not a lot of room for strategy or development. You get all your towers up by the middle of wave 3 and then you wait.

The real challenge is not to use mines or geo constructs.

Non-mazing TDs have an extremely low ceiling. The best is like Element TD which let's you make lots of combinations. This one kinda has that but it's way too basic. I finally unlocked this and tried a couple rounds and it's fun but I'm also over it already. The amount of grinding involved in unlocking the towers and such seems pretty bad.

Can't really disagree with you. As far as TDS goes, it's pretty basic and has no long term viability. The fact that the towers level outside of the stages rather than during, for additional cost, creates a bunch of complications in the game design.

The Ley Line event started, so make sure to collect you double rewards. Did all mora today.

Not surprised. A billion sounds like a lot until it's divided 9 million ways, which appears to be roughly the actual number.

Yeah, but would that have been the cut-off for you in terms of being excited? 160? I mean, with how huge a number a billion is, I wouldn't be surprised if people were hoping to get more like 500.

I dunno. I already expected disappointment because thats how it always is when gachas do these. They mislead people into thinking a massive reward is coming, but then its so small (most probably lie about the size of their player base too)

The number is whatever, but the randomness just adds to what was a pretty badly designed web event.

It's just Ley Lines but you get double rewards. The text in the event tab made it seem like there might be conditions to what Ley Lines can and cannot be used, but today, every one was available, and you get three.

As a heads up, condensed resin does not give double rewards, and I've seen people say that the game still registers it against your daily allotment. BE CAREFUL

I kinda find the number 108 to be a little suspect given the importance of it in Taoism/Buddhism. Could be a coincidence, but given it being a chinese game and a chinese new year theme'd event to just randomly land on that number for everyone certainly feels a little on the nose.

I'm alright with it, as it is a bit more than I was expecting, but there's certainly growing undercurrents of frustration in the fandom about this and other issues that continue to plague the game. I still take the long view for the game, and think a lot of this stuff will get ironed out as we advance into the future, but it might be a rockier road than I envisioned.

Don't you know, after only starting the game with one, every new character from Zhongli onward is a spear user.

Though it would be nice to have a cryo catalyst, yes.

tbf, spear use was underrepresented, and even post hu tao is only gonna bring it up to 4 users when other weapon types are sitting at 6 or 8 users.
