The final episode of Healin' Good Precure aired today, the traditional "baton pass" episode where they cap off the series and pass off to the lead Precure of the next series. Healin' Good had its flaws and production issues, especially considering the pandemic situation, but I still liked it. It was a solid, middle-of-the-road Precure series. That being said, Tropical-Rouge Precure starts next week and I'm already super hyped for it. Based on what I saw in the baton pass episode, Cure Summer is a lovable dork that I'm going to really enjoy watching.

Watched the CCS Clear Card prologue episode. Despite not looking as nice as the old series, it seems to have retained a lot of the charm of the original. I'm impressed that all of the voices sound the same like 20 years later. Only Yukito seemed to sound very slightly different. I'm guessing this follows the manga rather than the original anime ending? The characters talked about an event at Tokyo Tower but I remember the

Clear Card Hen was a huge disappointment for me. It spent the majority of its run time being pretty and focusing on like... day to day non-magical stuff. The second it started to get into really interesting world building it would turn away from it, or just end the damn season right then.

I've now finished all six episodes of Vlad Love that are out so far, and this show continues to absolutely baffle me with its humor and references. I'm surprised that Konami hasn't sued this show for copyright infringement with how blatant that "Castle Of Vania" episode was.

So I haven't watched a short series since watching 5th season of Symphogear back in.... early January. So I started watching a show called Dog & Scissors.
Its a show about a guy who dies and gets reincarnated as... a dachshund. Whoever at Bushiroad thought to pair up Nana Mizuki and Raychell for a song deserves a raise. There's also solo versions with just Nana or just Raychell singing, and those sound amazing too. Speaking of things that just came out, today is also the blu-ray release of the Revue Starlight compilation movie, which apparently has some additional content and a brand new ending compared to the TV version. 2 episodes into High-Rise invasion. Its definitely been adapted at a fast pace. They will get a lot farther into the story then I expected when I first heard of the adaption.

This is the fourth year since I've started watching the Pretty Cure franchise as it airs, but I've never been so hyped for the new series like I am for Tropical-Rouge Precure premiering today. The first episode just dropped on Crunchyroll and VRV, and it looks fantastic already. The character designs, the wild colors, the energetic vibe, and the opening... my god, just the opening already makes it look so damn fun.

The first episode was fantastic. Manatsu's energy is downright contagious, Laura being so smug was an unexpected surprise, and the first general we see being a GIANT ENEMY CRAB is just gravy. It lived up to all of my expectations and even surpassed some of them, and I'm really excited to see more.
