I don't agree with this. Lots of brands have black models with no issues. These racial issues happen with every minority because it's usually white people spearheading the advertising campaigns and they don't do enough research. You see it a lot with Asian models being made to be stereotypical as well.

Just give it time. I mean, it took over 100 years for Jemima. Is another 100, maybe products will only have white people on it... Whatever. The world's only getting worst as time passes...

It's almost as bad as teaching children to see color as a difference

If the product changes, and the representative image on the product is no longer a racist caricature, nothing is gained by bringing up a past of racial hatred except teaching a newer generation about this hatred and thus allowing some of them to be that way

I hate the idea that diversity means we ignore skin color. Skin color is often times linked to your culture directly. If you ignore someone's skin color, you are ignoring their diversity. It does the opposite of celebrating differences.

True true. Probably couldn't put a picture of a maple tree or something from nature on the bottle because they would get sued for false advertising, since their syrup is just a bunch of corn syrup with some chemicals added for flavor. I guess a generic factory on the label is really giving you a more realistic depiction of thier operation, although I can't say it warms my heart too much.

We can use animals (like sports teams and children's cereals) for every logo/mascot

It's hard to compensate somebody when they're dead. And even today, you can buy the rights to a likeness instead of paying royalties on that likeness. In fact, I'm not sure any company paid royalties on likeness back when they started using her image. More importantly, the image itself was changed multiple times over the years so it's technically not even depicting the original person any more.

bruh I'm 29. When you decide to diss me, please at least make the insults applicable. As opposed to 'YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY A LITTLE BABY WHO HAS NEVER SHOPPED' XD.
