I've figured out 7/8ths of my two main teams once Hu Tao exists... But I could still use advice on the final option in one.

Team A: Hu Tao/Xinyan(used as dps when Hu Tao's E is on CD maybe, not sure if she'll actually deal more damage, we'll see, but my instinct is she will once Hu Tao's crit rate for other people talent is unlocked)/Diona/???

Team B: Ning/Zhongli/Bennett/Fischl.

Is Xingqiu prolly the best choice for Hu's team? That's my instinct, but I'm not positive. I have all 4*'s besides Sucrose. Qiqi is my only other 5* option, and I know I don't want a full healer with Hu.

I wish I chose the girl myself but already too far invested. If youre still in the early going, sure. Nothing changes really, but Aether is the canon MC.

Is Hu Tao pyro or physical damage? I assume she must be physical damage if you're running her with Xinyan. If that's the case, I assume you'd want an electro for superconduct, so I'd say Fischl.

Also, what's the purpose of having two completely independent teams like that? You have to plug and play in Abyss to meet the needs of the floor, and can't run more than 4 characters anywhere else.

I was somewhat worried the new boss would be a pain, since I intend to farm it a good amount for Hu Tao mats in advance, but Zhongli does seem to trounce it pretty thoroughly.

She's pyro, but only 9 seconds out of 16, and for 12 seconds after her E ends she gives everyone but her crit rate. My thought was Xinyan uses her shield and then attacks while Hu Tao's on CD. That is how I read what her kit is intended to do.

As to the why, it's more what my two primary defaults would be, even if there are times I'll need to change it up based on the Spiral enemies.

I believe the resulting color is random, but you can trade them to complete the set to trade in.

I don't think it's random. After getting random colors but no Crimson, I set the clock to 11 am and then consistently got Crimson. So I'm pretty sure it's mapping colors, but what we think is close and what the game thinks is close (probably shortest distance in RGB-space?) are very different.

Finally getting to play. Think I did like 24 singles and got Beidou, Xinyan and random unfeatured Chongyun. Well that takes care of a lot of the characters I was missing from the free selection. I think the only one I dont have from that is Ningguang now. May try and see if I can get Diona, but well see since now I think Im at like 60 something for pity

So what do I need to know about all these events that are going on? Do any take Resin? Im trying to rush through whatever I can since I missed out on a bunch of time today and I dunno where to really start after finishing my dailies

Right now the only event is the photo one, and it's very fast. No resin needed (but that's the default for events anyway).

I have zero patience for this stupid ass kamera stuff. Half the time it won't even take a picture and the other half it is nothing like the color I'm looking at. The 2 flaming flowers it has taken a pic of came out as ocher and aquamarine. It wouldn't let me take a picture of an agate or the dragon heart thing.

I think you're having trouble understanding how this event works.

Today, the color of everything has to be red. You photograph red things. It doesn't matter what color you want afterwards. You aim at red objects.

Consequently, the picture itself -- because of the special properties of the kurious kamera, as detailed by the quest NPC -- will have a color assigned to it that has absolutely nothing to do with today's color.. Your goal is to get one of each picture color to turn in, which does not need to be completed today. However, you can only take 10 pictures today, so you should take all that you can and accept whatever colors you get.

Once you have one of each of the five colors, you can turn them in for a prize box. Each time you get a complete set, you'll get another. Since, if you're like me and my 6 red-hued pictures, you'll inevitably have too many of one color, you have the option to trade with other players to even things out.

Stick to objects you can pick up. Apples, sunsettias, silk flowers, jueyun chilis.

Also man if Laura had to redo the voice for anything it shouldve been Xinyan. I dont mind Barbaras change in battle voice, but Xinyan doesnt sound like a rocker at all and it bothers me to hear her voice :(

Depends on your perspective. I mean, yeah, it would be nice if it was checking scanlines for anything in the general spectrum of red colors, so in that regard, yes, it sucks. I was confused why I couldn't take a picture of a fire, for instance. But it really didn't take long to realize that it's only programmed to recognize ground-spawn objects. When you point at something, it literally puts a circle around the object that it's scanning, even when it represents only a small fraction of the total shot. And I'm sure it's much simpler for them to program in code that checks if clickable objects are in front of you (because there's already code for that) and the item comes off a finite list of specific things deemed red.

Yeah, I had to futz around with it a bit too. After realizing that static red things like buildings/people's clothes didn't cut it, I moved on to the most red objects I could think of, the scarlet quartz items in Dragonspine, which...did not work, perhaps as an oversight.

Bit awkward to have this color choice right after doing BP item collection, but thankfully I still knew of lots of chilies/valberries I could use. Along the way I learned that sunsettias counted, as did fire flowers. Presumable apples would have too, so that eased my worries that one might accidentally farm out a color.

All in all, I'm fine with the event, and will probably wait towards the end to do any meaningful trading.

Her old voice had pep and the slight rasp have it character. Now it's so mundane and not peppy cheerleader like. If I still used her a lot it would irritate the shit out of me but she got demoted for Qiqi

Yeah, no idea why they decided to do that. Barbara was my loud cheerleader and now she is this quiet shy girl - which isn't bad, but it's 100% inferior to the original. She had so much character, why mihoyo why.

It's the English voice, but the VA is still the same, it's just the voice direction that changed. Not sure if it's more or less in keeping with that video, really, but I did like the more energetic battle lines of the old version.

Apparently what released into the game originally was Barbaras beta voice and the one we have now was supposed to be her release voice? Thats what I saw some people saying anyways. Basically I guess we were never supposed to hear raspy Barbara in the first place

I dunno who I want to raise now, but I probably have a good selection to pick from now for a second Abyss team instead of having to throw in weaker junk just to fill out the space. Ideally Id raise them all to max level, but that is just mountains of resources that dont exist yet

Got myself up to 74 pulls after Ganyu. Thats as far as I can really risk going so no Diona for me for now.

Out of my pulls. Hopefully Hu Tao is after Keqing and hopefully 4* Rosaria is on her banner so I can not have to worry about pulling and missing Rosaria if she comes right after...

They updated her to be more consistent with how she talks when encountered in the story. Voice actor is the same. The issue is that people feel her old battle lines fit her character a lot better and it seems the overwhelming majority preferred those.

Her new voice is only poorly received because we heard her old voice. If we had never heard her old voice direction, nobody would have said anything. And that's what makes me concerned they won't do anything about this and will just ignore the complaints.

Whats the deal with these Geovishaps? I did the initial one that introduces you to them, but like am I supposed to be fighting them daily or something? I dont think that part of the event has actually started just yet?

Also todays Kamera says Blue Creature so I guess you can take pics of monsters after all >_>

Yeah, today is monsters. I got cryo slimes, a hydro samachurl, and a cryo archerchurl. The kamera did not work on anemo slimes or a cryo abyss mage.

Xinyan's voice in other languages are good, but yeah, I don't understand why the NA voice director(s) decided she should sound like a country musician.
