22 y/o Miya Ponsetto has been named as the racist karen who accused a 14 y/o black kid of stealing her IPHONE and now she's WANTED!!

The California native was caught accusing the boy of stealing her phone and demanding to see it because he had the "same cover" as hers when the truth was her phone was left on an UBER and the driver returned it to her!!

But now the video is released after she accused the kid of ASSAULTING her and now she may have wished that video was not taken...

The former cheerleader was busted once the new surveillance footage was shown as she gave a rambling phone interview with CNN denying it had anything to do with racial profiling and then claimed he attacked her

The boy's father, Grammy winning jazz artist, Keyon Harrold posted several footage of her accusing them of theft and the manager of the hotel taking her side

They refused to show them the phone stating they were guests at the hotel and how they could take her side was outrage but Miya demanded the manager to take it from them and then wouldn't let them leave

The NYPD said they will not release her name but Dailymail can now name the real girl after mistaking one previously named Cassandra Medina

According to witnesses, she demanded the teen EMPTY HIS POCKETS and was shoving and pushing him to get him to comply as the father and son refused to let them without any proof

Miya says she's willing to cooperate with any police investiation but hasn't been contacted nor as she reached out herself

A rally was held to demand action including Attorney Ben Crump and Reverend Al Sharpton who said "This black man to take his black son, put him in a hotel during a pandemic and spend christmas with him, raising him, and ot be assaulted because of the colour of their skin, i wanted to stand with this man and this woman who provided for their son, and they're being criminalized for it. The arrogance and audacity of this woman". The public is also outraged with SoHo hotels and the manager who took the side of the heifer and are now calling for a BOYCOTT!.

Mayor Bill De Blasio says "This is racism. Plain and Simple" as he demands an arrest be made after the video was released

You insult someone, you call that person a liar and a thief, you expect cooperation from them?! And that's not even considering the verbal and physical abuse involved. So is it verified her phone was missing?
I think the simplest explanation is that she saw a similar looking phone and concluded it was hers.
Otherwise, what is there to gain?

She couldn't locate her phone so she thought, what? To accuse the closest black person? To accuse the closest male? Maybe they have different faiths and she accused the closest Episcopalian. Why is racism the cause of her accusation and not some other prejudice?

As far as how the situation developed I see the point each made. It sounds like the way the manager handled it contributed to the escalation. The father and son should not have been treated that way as guests and if the manager had been better at approaching the situation the resolution would have been quite simple.

She's been publicly ID'd yet nobody has reached out to her. Clearly she's not wanted. If a warrant had been issued, she'd already have been arrested by now. You're really jumping the gun yet again. The most recent story I can find -- which promised surveillance but seemed to just show the video somebody else took -- only mentions that the DA is looking into it.

Again, why does he have an attorney? He's not accused of anything. Are they just trying to sue whoever they can for a quick buck?

The claim that it's racism is in itself racism because it's literally just taking the races involved into account rather than any other factor.

This so hard. Her actions after the fact aside, if her phone was missing and she saw somebody whose phone case looked like hers, at least the suspicion is completely warranted. The who did what to who might not be. Ducky failed to post any surveillance video (and I haven't been able to find it, and the coverage still just shows the video a bystander (probably the father) took where the camera is pointed away more than it is at them), but his other topic iirc had stills of the girl being knocked to the ground yet the topic itself.

Asking to look at a phone is a completely reasonable request. It's insulting, sure, but it would resolve the situation in seconds. Who is or isn't a guest shouldn't necessarily change that.

As for the situation, I look at it from both sides. If I thought somebody had stolen something from me, I'd want it back. And if I was being falsely accused of stealing something and all I had to do to disprove the claim was show the device, I'd show it. If a third party is getting involved, they should lean towards the more reasonable outcome which is just showing the phone.

For any practical reason it shouid not matter. From the description posted my understanding is that the father saw it as a customer service matter and was less inclined to cooperate due to the way the manager approached them.

Had it been a black lady would they have showed her the phone? I think they judged her based on the color of her skin. The fact that they ran to Al Sharpton says a lot about the guys character and motivation.

It seems increasingly more popular to agitate then record. The father is a POS for needlessly putting this woman through this for attention and sympathy money. They are definitely the racists in this case.

Neither. Crazy woman could have just phoned her phone or used find my phone if possible however the kid could have proved this phone was his really easy and thus avoided this drama. It also doesn't help the kids dad is creaming racism when it's not racism at all.
