I did. It was fine, but worse than the first movie.

I can't believe that Cats is not the movie that has the worse looking CGI feline humanoid in the past year.

The CGI in general was super bad. Any time she ran fast or swung around, it just looked... Yikes.

Overall it wasn't terrible, but it was incredibly mediocre and I'm glad I didn't pay to see it.

Overall was alright, definitely rewound a few times to crack up watching her run after a car.

Also for Cheetah I like to imagine Lord was granting wishes in his little wish turbine and was just like "And I'll take your disgustingly hair back and give it to HER!" and she's just sitting there like "dude wtfno"

Watched on HBO just now, it was pretty okay but not on the level of the first film (and even that one wasn't on my top tier of superhero films).

Also making the "emotional gutpunch" moment be saying goodbye to Steve AGAIN was so just creatively bankrupt it made my head hurt. It's not even like it's been multiple WW movies in between. It's literally the very next movie and they just recycled it.

It was watchable is about all I can say for it, but not even close to the quality of the original.

So this is Iron Man 2 all over again?

If this holds, Wonder Woman 3 will be the best one by far, except for a bunch of wierdos who hate it because she doesn't wear the costume enough.

This always seemed to be more along the lines of "you liked Wonder Woman, here's more of it", which didn't interest me because I've never seen the first movie fully. That film is also in a bit of a weird place for me in that I doubt I'm going to get around to it anytime soon, but it's one of the movies from the past five years that interests me most. God 2017 was such a terrible year for movies.

This movie is dire.

I only know a couple who has... I want to say a lot more lax tastes than I do, that aren't as familiar with Wonder Woman (but loves super hero stuff), and they were saying it was amazing and on par with the first, but I'm finding that very hard to believe, especially after seeing everyone else's reaction.

I'll end up watching it with the girlfriend probably some time later this coming week though. I expected it to be a bit of a let-down though.

It's weird because it's kinda barely a superhero movie. Like, there's really only one scene where she's technically doing something superhero-y, and then a fight at the end, and that's about it. Though it's understandable. They had to spend the rest of the time making her act irrationally because she's sooo in love with Chris Pine and she's a woman. Because... Something.

Main issues I have with WW84 (spoilers obviously)

Wonder Woman is barely in costume the entire movie. Theres like an hour and change stretch of it even. Theres little action and her fast running scenes look hilariously bad. They also couldnt come up with anything good for her so they had Steve return and made her have to say goodbye again which just feels recycled from the first movie. She also loses her powers to a degree for a fair bit of the movie which is just another recycled superhero scenario youve seen a million times.

Cheetah looks unbelievably bad. Like wow even CATS might look better. Thankfully you rarely see her full costume, but unfortunately when you do it looks bad and her fight with WW sucks. Her character isnt all that great either. Stereotypical goober geek girl who envies the hot popular girls and wishes to be like one when all she would have to do to get attention is ditch the dorky glasses and dress decently. Its not like shes awful though.

Steve. Literally why did this guy have to come back? Doesnt even really get anything new or unique to him either. He just comes back, is all woah look future stuff and then he has to leave. Fairly generic stuff really.

So if every wish had some horrible catch to it, does that mean the guy who wished for coffee paid some price, and ultimately had to renounce his wish for coffee?

I saw it and it was pretty entertaining. It's got a bunch of problems and isn't nearly as good as the first one, but it was still likable.

how would that even happen then? Would he lose the coffee he already drank?

also how the fuck do wishes work? do people get multiple wishes? His kid makes wishes multiple times (once for his greatness, and once for him to come home) but they're both vague and aren't totally granted, and also don't seem to have a downside?

if the woman wished all the Irish would be sent back where they came from, and then she died, she couldn't renounce the wish, so does that mean it stayed true and all Irish people were deported?'

also is it really expecting me to believe that every single person on earth who made a wish based on violence (like the nukes, missiles, etc) ALL took them back?

also how did the worldwide broadcast pick up diana's soft talking over the sound of the literal tornado in that room

I think when Maxwell renounced his wish it undid all of the wishes he granted. So Barbara's initial wish wasn't undone (so she can be in WW3) but her cat powers were taken away since Max gave those to her.

I think the only point was to show that WW's hopeful message worked on people I guess. I really doubt Barbara renounced her wish but she wasn't a cat by the end anymore.

His second wish didn't work, and that WAS the downside. He wished for his dad's greatness, and in return couldn't be with him. That's why he tries to make the second wish about him coming home. The wish to see him didn't actually come true, the guy just happened to make the choice to renounce his own wish to see his son on his own.
